It was clear that he hadn't heard her, or if he had, he hadn't paid it any mind, as he just continued on.

-The next day-

It was mid-afternoon, and the three of them had spent most of their time in the home, but Darryl needed to head to the campus to use a facility there, leaving her and Bast alone again.

"...I'm feeling hungry." Bast then said.

"Damn human genetics." he muttered.

"Wanna come with me to the club I work at?" he asked her.

"We can grab some cheap grub on my employee discount."

Darryl and Bast looked at each other for a moment.

"Well, I won't be using it." Bast said.

"Yeah, I think I'm good, too." Darryl agreed, before looking at Jordan.

"Go ahead." he told her.

"I'll grab towels and stuff for ya." he said further, before leaving the room.

"That tub is pretty sweet." Bast then said to her. "Makes this place worth it and then some."

Darryl nodded in response.

"All right." he said.

"Feel free to head to bed whenever, obviously." he told her.

"All right, then." Bast then said, standing up.

"I think I'm going to head out, see if the club's got room for an impromptu shift." he told them.

"Cool." Darryl said.

Darryl just sighed heavily.

"Yeah, yeah..." he muttered.

"You're stupid-stubborn that way." he said.

"Anyway, welcome." he then said to her. "As you can see, this is my home away from home." he said further.

"Hopefully you won't be too bored here." he went on.

"And feel free to come and go as you please, explore the area, the city, whatever."

"Heh." Bast chuckled.

"That IS true." he said, as Darryl returned with a can of pop.

"So are you all set up?" he asked Jordan.

"Yep." Jordan replied.

"Need the wifi or anything?" he asked further.

"I gave it to her already." Bast assured him.

"Oh, and thanks for the pack of cherry coke, dude." he added.

"Heh." Darryl laughed sheepishly. "Just my way of apologising to you both for not being there to properly greet her and such." he explained.

Darryl was silent for a moment, before sighing and shaking his head.

"All right, all right." he said.

"Toss the box over, man." Bast then told him. "I want her to see what kind they are." he reasoned.

"Sure." Darryl responded, tossing it to him and going back to get his drink.

Bast caught the box and handed it to her, the brand being 'Dream Cream' written in gold cursive.

"I'll grab some tomorrow." he told her.

"A box specifically for you, if Darryl doesn't on his own."

Bast just raised an eyebrow at her, before looking in the direction Darryl would be coming from.

And he did. He stormed into the doorway, empty box in hand.

"Aw, c'mon, man!" he said. "I WAS gonna let her try some!" he protested.

"Well, -I- didn't know that." Bast responded.

"Besides, I'll grab new ones tomorrow or something." he added.

"Hmph. Asshole." Darryl spat in response.

"Yeah. Finally." Darryl said in an exasperated tone.

"I think I'm gonna just take tomorrow off from any work." he then muttered.

"You've earned it, bud." Bast responded.

"Heh, thanks." Darryl replied. "I'm gonna go get a drink." he then said, before heading to the kitchen.

Bast just looked at Jordan and smirked, before holding up 3 fingers. Then 2. Then 1.

"SEBASTIEN!" they then heard Darryl yell out. "DID YOU EAT ALL THE CREAM PUFFS!?" he yelled further.

"Nope!" Bast called back, suppressing a chuckle.

"Should be fairly soon." he said.

"It's been a while." he reasoned.

Sure enough, just as Jordan finished eating the last bite of all that was there, they heard the jingling of keys, and the door opening.

"Yo!" Darryl's voice called in.

"Livingroom!" Sebastien called back.

About a minute later, Darryl stepped into the room, smiled, and waved.

"Yo." he greeted them.

Bast held her phone for a moment, and raised an eyebrow.

"...all righty then." he said.

He then unlocked her phone, and got to work. Which didn't entail all THAT much. He connected her to the wifi they had, and then took it upon himself to enter his own phone number under her contact list, creating a contact for him.

Once that was done, he grabbed his own phone and made a contact on his phone for her, and then sent her a text, giving her the password if she needed it.

"And there we go." he said.

He then leaned back in the couch and grabbed the remote, switching it to the local news to see about the weather.

"For sure." Bast said.

"Anyway, I assume Darryl's already prepped a room for you." he then said. "If you want, go and take your stuff up there and set up and all that." he told her.

"I assume you've got a laptop or something." he went on.

"Or at the very least, you have a phone, lemme know if you need the wifi pass." he then added.

"Odds are you should probably get unpacked before your brother gets back. Just so it's done."

"He's chilled a little since I've first met him." Bast responded.

"I mean, don't get me wrong, he still won't like the fact that you have a fake ID, and he won't like the fact that I'll be taking you to some places that one as young as you shouldn't be going to, but he won't report it or anything." he told her.

"He'll chew me out, might not talk to me for a bit, buuut that'll be about it." he went on.

"That's IF he finds out." he added with a wink.

"But yeah, if you like, I can take you to one of the clubs here. I actually have a part-time job there." he then told her.

"Earn some money in my free time."

Bast just smirked again.

"Heh." he chuckled.

"Awesome." he said.

"Then I know of a few places that we can go and have a real good time." he told her.

"...and yes, it's legal. It's all legal." he assured her.

"I mean, won't be legal for you to be there, but I've never been bothered with fake ID's." he shrugged.

"Besides, if you're with me, you'll probably be cool. They'll just take a quick glance at your fake ID and wave you in."

Bast looked at the cards, and raised an eyebrow, before laughing out loud.

"Hah! Nice one." he said.

"You really 16?" he then asked, handing her the wallet back.

"Because when I answered the door, I could swear you were around 13." he told her.

"Not that I mean anything by that, that was just the initial impression." he clarified.

"Does that other card really work, though?" he asked. "I'm impressed with the quality of it."
