"Well, this isn't life-or-death." Nate replied.

"It'd just be really nice to get it started sooner, rather than later." he reasoned. "Assuming it can be done." he continued.

"I have confidence in you, though." he told her.

"If Chloe is anything to go by, you are absolutely brilliant." he complimented her.

"And you're just an all-around amazing person." he went on.

"I know THAT from personal experience." he chuckled.

Nate was silent for a moment... before snapping his fingers.

"Ah!" he said.

"Chloe!" he remembered.

"Wait..." he mumbled. "That was a collaborative effort between you and Leo?" he asked.

She just nodded.

"...wow." he mumbled.

"That is actually really amazing." he told her.

"Seriously, that is a new level of awesome."

"Could you talk to him?" Nate asked.

He then sighed and gave her more details. Specifically about Izea, the life she'd had, how things had been, and what had recently happened to her, and how she had to lose her arm anyway.

"So... yeah, she's not been having a good time of it." he muttered.

"To say the least." he continued.

"But yeah, think you and Leo might be able to help?" he asked.

"It'd be really amazing for her."

Nate just sighed.

"I've seen a few." he told her.

"If you ever need to vent, gimme a call." he said.

"And thanks." he said, gesturing to the roll and drink.

"Glad this is a bit therapeutic for you." he chuckled.

"Anyway..." he then muttered.

"You think you could possibly build a fully functioning prosthetic arm?" he asked her, jumping right into it.

"I haven't yet." Nate replied.

"As for what I want... hmmm." he mumbled.

"One of those cinnamon rolls. Extra glaze." he told her.

"Oh, and an iced cappuccino." he continued.

"Blended." he added.

"...yeah, that should do it." he finished with a nod.

"I'll still be here when you get back." he chuckled.

Nate just chuckled.

"That's true." he said.

"See you in a bit." he told her.

After clearing it with Angela, he left the building and hopped on his electric bike, leaving the parking garage and making his way to the cafe in question. Once he arrived, he noticed there was still about 3 or so minutes before she showed up, so he parked it and sighed quietly.

"Might as well go inside." he reasoned.

So he did. He didn't order anything yet, just waved to the one on cashier duty, and sat down in their favourite booth. He then proceeded to wait for her, debating how all to bring this up.

He didn't want this to be disjointed and potentially misleading.

"15 minutes works." Nate replied.

"And for coffee? Sure thing." he went on.

"Hmmm." he mumbled.

"How about that cafe that makes those amazing cinnamon rolls?" he suggested.

"Shouldn't be too busy." he reasoned.

"And... this might take a bit to explain." he added.

Nate then excused himself, smiling at the two of them, before leaving the room.

Once he did, he took out his phone and sent another text.

Call me when you have a chance. he sent.

I wanna discuss something with you. Preferably ASAP. he then sent.

He sighed as he pocketed his phone, and shook his head.

"I hope this works." he mumbled.

"She doesn't deserve all this." he lamented further.

"Sorry." Nate apologised to Angela. "I didn't hear you come in." he explained.

"Anyway, we'll get the appointments set up, then." he told Izea.

"Make sure things can get moving ahead ASAP." he reasoned.

"..." he was then silent, pondering her comment about her using her right arm less and less over the past while.

'Fantastic coincidence.' he thought.

But he didn't have time to ponder it for long, he had phone calls to make.

Nate jumped a little when Angela spoke, having been so distracted with talking to Izea that he hadn't heard her arrive.

"Well, then." he said.

"We have planning to do." he commented.

"Your removal surgery will need to be scheduled very quickly, and I'll get in touch with those that can make your prosthetic." he told her.

"...granted, it might take a while to build." he then warned.

"You'll be strictly armless for a while."

"I know of a pair of people that can work miracles with technology." Nate said further.

"If anyone can do it, they can." he told her.

"So... it would be a functioning replacement." he continued.

"...but it's your choice." he then said.

"If you'd rather not, I understand."

Nate looked to the door again, before sighing.

"I had really wanted to wait until Dr. Edwards was here, but I might as well say it now, not leave you hanging." he said.

"You're going to have to lose the arm." he told her. "That's a given." he went on.

"I'm sorry." he apologised.

"But you can have it replaced with a prosthetic." he then said.

"A fully functional one." he revealed.

"Your choice is whether or not you want that."

Nate just sighed.

"Well, there's a reason for that." he said.

"It seems you may have fallen in just the... right, or wrong, way... matter of perspective..." he told her.

"Your shoulder is... to put it professionally, 'messed the eff up'." he revealed.

"There's no way to save it." he went on.

"...and you have a choice in regards to that." he then mumbled, shaking his head slightly.

Nate was confused by what she had said, before shaking his head.

"One second." he told her, taking out his phone.

He texted Angela, telling her that Izea was up and about, before looking back to the goblin.

"...the fact that you hurt is... well, understandable, and frankly, normal." he told her.

"How is your arm feeling?" he asked.

He figured it was the best way to bring up the subject in a... more natural way.
