Levi was silent, and hung his head a little.

"Well, it seems like the wheel of fate has decided that it's safe for you to be around me." he told her. "For now." he added. "...and however long THAT lasts..." he then mumbled.

"And am I okay?" he asked.

"Eh." he shrugged.

"The more important one here is YOU." he said.

"After all, it seems I have inadvertently caused you a lot of pain." he commented.

Levi looked to the door and sighed.

"Okay." he said.

"Might as well... get this over with." he muttered.

He then made his way over, grabbed the doorknob, and opened the door, stepping inside... to find Izea sitting in one of the chairs, drinking something out of a glass. When she turned and looked at him, he waved slightly.

"...hey." he greeted her.

He let out a heavy drawn-out sigh.

"I see." he said.

"I'll be right down." he told her.

"And yes." he then said. "They ARE shutting up." he confirmed.

"And I also have a decent ring of spirits." he continued.

"So I'll be right down." he finished.

With that, the call was ended, his paragraph was finished, and he made his way down to the medical wing, looking around until Angela approached him.

"Welp. Here I am." he said.

Levi was silent for a moment, before sighing quietly.

"Not really." he replied, his voice a little more lively than when last they spoke.

"I mean, I'm working on spinning a press release for the Unit, but that's not due for another couple of days, and I'm just about done the first draft for review." he told her.

"Why?" he asked.

"Need me to come down there?" he asked her.

"...and is this about Izea?"

Levi raised an eyebrow.

"Uh-huh..." he said.

"Well... I admit, that DOES make me feel better." he told her.

He then sighed quietly, as Nate approached them.

"She'll be fine, of course." he told them.

"Cool." Levi said.

"I should.. probably go now." he muttered, shaking his head head again.

"Well, as long as it was useful." Levi said.

"And now we know why Izea has been getting hurt." he went on.

"..." he was then silent, and looked VERY sad suddenly.

"....I was the cause of her falling down the steps and breaking her shoulder..." he mumbled.

"My stepping into the stairwell did that..."

Levi just shrugged.

"Seems like she's a person that creates a lot of questions about her." he said.

"But you'd know more about this than me." he went on.

"For most of my life, I didn't know about mana and just thought I was fucking insane." he told her further.

"Anyway, is there anything else?" he asked.

"Need me to stick around for anything more?" he asked further, as Nate checked to make sure Izea was all right.

"I don't know, either." Levi replied.

"But the ball's in Izea's court now." he told her.

"If she wants to try and be my friend, still, then I won't say no." he said. "If she decides that it's too risky, and doesn't want things to get worse, then that's understandable." he went on.

"But it seems that they now effectively control this potential friendship." he then growled.

"Oh well." he said with a defeated tone.

"...though, her reaction to them IS something I've never experienced or seen before." he then admitted, his tone more quizzical now.

"That's true." Ryker replied.

"And we have SO much fresh fish." he continued, looking at the carcass he was filleting.

"I'll bet it will even satisfy YOUR appetite!" he laughed.

"But seriously, you hungry?" he asked.

"Because there's a LOT of fish to cook up here."

Levi shook his head.

"There's nothing to make up for." he said.

"This is just... an unpleasant discovery in my life." he sighed.

"Just... tell her I'm sorry, okay?" he asked.

"I'm sorry that she hurts because of something that... is essentially my presence." he lamented further.

"I wish I could just turn this off." he then muttered further, some venom in his tone.

"I hate that they've just cost me a friend."

".......yeah." he replied after a moment.

"...no." he then said.

"I don't know." he admitted.

"I hate that this is a thing." he told her.

"I hate that their presence, which is practically synonymous with MY presence... causes her such pain." he continued.

"All right? I hate it. SO much."

"..." Levi was silent, before looking to the room again.

"Okay." he said.

He then made his way to the door, grabbed the handle, and stopped.

"...I'm sorry, Izea." he muttered quietly, before opening the door and stepping in.

Which resulted in the exact same result as last time.

Levi didn't even rush towards her this time, he just turned and left.

"The sooner I leave, the better for her, right?" he asked Angela.

After a few minutes, Levi showed up.

And he did not look impressed. He wasn't angry, but had much more of a resigned look to him now.

"Okay. I'm here." he said.

"Let's get this over with." he told her.

"Where's Izea?" he asked, looking around.

"...and yes, they're still not shutting up." he then told her further, letting out a heavy sigh.

"You do that." Hal responded.

"And Angela?" he said, as she made her way to the door.

"Thank you." he told her.

"I can see this is hard on you, and it's understandable." he continued.

"If there's any way I can help with helping you relax or anything, let me know." he told her.

"At the very least, you deserve some time off soon."
