@Vozzy:
I just click on the links in my sig or profile. That's all. Supposed to lead to my website but instead I get weirdness.

I quite like The Edge of Sleep. It's a sort of serialized horror/suspense/drama, and it's only like five or six episodes long if I recall correctly. It's currently being adapted into a tv series, I think for Netflix!

Also a neat retro/nostalgic one (if you're into the 80s and 90s) is The Purple Stuff Podcast, which has been a favorite of mine for years. It's basically a couple of dudes reminiscing about pop culture crap from their childhoods, and it's pretty fun. :)

Hey, you made the thread, cool! I'd love it if you'd consider one of my kids when you get time!

Maybe my web mascot aka "virtual Key"? (there's a whole wardrobe idea section on their profile if you want to change up their outfit.)

Or if you'd prefer a more dude-ly dude (Key's/I'm nonbinary 🤷‍♂) or simply something maybe a little more interesting, there's my recently adopted monster man, Aric? He's 24, prefers dudes, and is into loud Y2K fashions and belts/harnesses (which he incorporates into all his outfits). He doesn't have a wardrobe for ideas yet, but funky textures (faux fur, satin, that weird velvety stuff we wore in the oughties) and funky patterns/colors (especially cow print and/or orange flames) are big for him.

If neither of those interest you I've got a whole bunch more you're welcome to go through for inspiration!

Thank you so much for consideration and your preciously limited time!

@Starlight:
Korean and Russian, wow! I've been told Russia is one of the hardest languages to learn, and I can't imagine Korean is crazy easy either. That's really cool. I took three years of Spanish in high school (sadly didn't have options for other languages) and forgot pretty much everything. I swear I know more German through osmosis as a small child (and my baby brothers' Muzzy language learning videos lmao) than I know Spanish. Maybe I should look into one of those language-learning apps and work on my German more. At least I've got some childhood basis in that thanks to my mom studying it when I was small.

I wish I could concentrate better on reading. There have definitely been books that have caught my eye that I'd like to read, but it's very hard for me to stick with it for long, usually. I'm not really into the K-Pop scene (got nothing against it, it's just never really caught my attention much), but now I'm curious to look up Russian music! That's really neat to incorporate your language learning into your other hobbies; forces you to have more immersion in the language, I suppose!

What games are you into, if you don't mind my asking? o3o

@PoeticTorment:

Yeah, I'm hoping. I emailed the company to ask about it just in case. And while the only one of these kits I've done before is an official Sea Monkey one, these kits are generally pretty straight-forward and definitely easier than say, fish (certainly cheaper, lmao). You've got three packets; the 'water conditioner' (which usually contains eggs as well), the 'eggs' (lots more eggs) and the food (generally spirulina or powdered yeast or a mix). You're supposed to do packet one the first day, and packet two the second, and then you see the eggs 'instantly' hatch (when you're actually seeing the eggs that were in the conditioner you added the previous day lol). I've often cheated a bit and put both packets one and two in at the same time; doesn't seem to make much if any difference and it's a faster payoff! And then you feed a teeny bit of food every few days (most kits come with itty bitty feeding spoons).

They're simple creatures, but I find them great fun. Literal desktop pets, and I'm so fascinated with how different companies approach the concept--largely the same format, but in a different wrapper, lol. I guess I get a kick out of the novelty. :)

@Another Movie Addict: Oh no, water damage is so awful, mold can make you so sick! :((

@Another Movie Addict: Saaame with the one I spent my teen years in. I can't believe I walked barefoot on that carpeting.

@Another Movie Addict: Oh crap, I get that. And getting at the duct work means pulling away the sheeting around the bottom, too, I remember that from my old days. I'm sorry, that really sucks. :(

I mean the emojis on this site are in general really, really adorable.

Just a few of my favorites, hehe. :3

@Anarchist Beauty: Yeah, tell me about it.

Fortunately the general push seems to be for the better, even if there are a lot of shitty setbacks at the moment.

Unrelated, but I love your little 88x31's for your hangout and shops! Super cute. :3

@Another Movie Addict: Also, and I'm sorry if you saw this already but in case you didn't because I edited it in after the fact, my mom used that spray expanding foam to fill a bunch of the holes in our trailer when I was a teenager. It's around $5-10 a can depending on brand, and seemed to work pretty well! Even if you can only afford a can or two at a time it might be worth a shot. o3o

@Wildfire: Stepdad was pretty trigger happy. Frankly if he had the opportunity to shoot something, he was going to take it. I'm very glad he's out of my life, for that and many other reasons. :vanora_upsidedown:

@Another Movie Addict: Okay I will admit "Kim Possum" is pretty cute.

@Another Movie Addict: Oh nooo!

At least opossums are generally harmless (as long as you don't threaten them anyway).

Though in my case, the opossum in the house led to my then-stepfather running through the house in his tightie-whities aiming a shotgun at the gas stove the little guy had run behind.

My mom's ex is, uh, not a smart man. (thank god my mom was there to shout some sense into him!)

Another time, another opossum? He shot a hole in his shower. 🤦‍♂

EDIT: Oh! After one rifle adventure too many, my mom went through and filled the holes in the house with expanding foam! That stuff is relatively cheap, and might be a decent way to at the very least cut down on the critter entrances!
