Animaniacs, I want to watch the revival of it so bad! I don't have Hulu, though. ._.

I think the Invader Zim movie was on Netflix? Pretty sure that's where I watched it.

@Alchemists Fire: Well now I'm curious how far you got in the series, lol. Make sure you watch the movie that came out recently, too! It's a great follow-up to the series, even if it was made years later.

I know my dad sometimes put on old Warner Brothers cartoons via Netflix, but I don't know where you'd find Hanna-Barbera or like, Felix the Cat. Amazon, maybe?

@ArsenicAttitude: I don't think Lordi varies quite as widely in style, lol, but personally I do like their older stuff more than their recent. Dir en grey's videos so far might be a biiit much for me, lol, but I'm definitely liking some of what I'm hearing! I've never been real big on "unintelligible screaming" in metal, but I love melodic stuff (which you might pick up from some of Lordi's stuff, too, lol).

Oh good god the living room tv (my roommate has it on to sleep to) just aired an emergency alert test and scared the bejeezus out of me. x.x

@ArsenicAttitude: I'll have to check out their music. :)

Could be they were familiar because they really rose to fame and became a bit of a meme by winning Eurovision in 2006 in a fairly shocking victory. Not the kind of music that usually wins, after all!

@MoodyB: Geez, I'm sorry; you guys are really in a tough spot. I hope you're able to find someplace you can afford without putting your dad through too much!

Landlords taking advantage of poor tenants make me so angry. :(

@Koah: I don't mind being in bed--in fact because I don't have a good desk chair my laptop is set up on my bed lol--but having no choice sucks!

And yes, exactly, lol.

@Koah: Gosh, I'll bet. 12 days feels like a lifetime when you're sick! My day is uneventful, but sometimes that's a good thing. :)

@Another Movie Addict: Oh god, I'd be worried about that, too. :/ Hopefully you don't get in any kind of trouble, and if you do, it's definitely time to tattle on your manager!

@MoodyB: Oh I can give you one good reason they become landlords: money. Which is also why they often refuse to fix things, too.

I'm pretty sure lease agreements don't trump the actual law, though I totally get how sometimes it's more headache than it's worth. I'd be worried about that ceiling leak, though; leaks lead to mold and mold can cause all kinds of serious health problems.

@MoodyB:
Our fridge keeps freezing stuff lately but I think it's because my roommate keeps it turned down so cold. Ruined like half a bag of peaches I bought recently, I was so sad. :(

And oh god, I had a broken window in my bedroom in the old place, and when my then roommate replaced the ancient a/c window unit with a new one, the landlord, instead of taking the old one out as asked, merely nailed the damn thing in so it couldn't be removed. The only upside being the way the window was pushed up for the a/c unit meant the broken window didn't let in the weather--the downside being I couldn't open either window in my back bedroom. Thank god there was never a fire! 🙄

And yes, she DOES have a responsibility to fix it, I'm pretty sure most places that is explicitly in rental laws. Though I know reporting a landlord is never that simple since they can end up taking it out on you... :/

@Another Movie Addict: Well that just took it to a whole new level of illegal--doesn't that mean you worked an hour that you didn't get paid for?? And I'd be super careful letting them get away with that; sometimes they take it to mean they can get away with it in the future. :I

@Koah: Hello! Welcome back to the land of the living not-sick! XD

Another Movie Addict:
I had to work straight through my lunch break, because no one was there to cover for me to go take it.

That sounds like a violation of labor laws. :x That sucks.

@MoodyB: Oh geez, kinda reminds me of my landlord when I lived in California; among other things he--this little old man--did the wiring repairs himself. The breaker box, which I had to interact with many times while living there, was a terrifying cobbled-together mess that had loose bits and even sparked!! And my friend that I lived with ended up replacing multiple things herlsef, including the fridge and garbage disposal, over the years, because the landlord wouldn't or would have attempted a slapdash attempt at repairing.

I guess I should consider myself lucky he didn't live on the property with an annoying dog, though!

@ArsenicAttitude:
Oh I had to google them; they look pretty cool!

My first two concerts were a Finnish group called Lordi, which most people tend to have to google when I mention them, lol. But they put on a damn fun show!

@ArsenicAttitude: Aw, well it's not like you did it on purpose. And yeah, it was probably fine after being cooked, but I get it, it's still gross to think about. ^^;

@Wildfire:
Oh I'd just be making canned chili to go with my hot dogs, I don't have the stuff to make chili from scratch. Though I just might make the chili dogs today. o3o

@MoodyB:
Oh geez, so it's a plumbing leak? That's still pretty bad. :/
