@ArsenicAttitude:
Lol that's valid, I think that's been the case for most people for the past year and a half! I know when I got out lately it's like "must wear favorite clothes because who knows when I'll get another chance!" even if it's just like, running to Walgreens. XD

Yeah, I love the Sims, but whoo boy do I love to customize, and there just isn't enough options built into the base game! I do hate having to update the mods every time I decide to play, though.

I honestly haven't heard of any of those but I might just have to check them out! I know I binged the first 70 'episodes' of Acceptance when I first found it. I need to get back to it, actually.

Yeah, it's a rave thing. I never went to raves and it's not really my scene (loud noises and crowds are so exhausting for me), but I've had a fascination with kandi for years, and it looks like fun to make and collect even if I don't go partying. (I do have an OC who's all about raving, though; I kinda live vicariously through her, lol!)

@Wildfire: Lol no worries, I know Sea Monkeys are on the stranger side of the hobby spectrum. Most of my hobbies are, lol. (My dad once was encouraging me to basically fake other interests to make "real" [as opposed to online] friends. I explained that I don't wan people to be my friend on the basis of BS! And this was only about three years ago, when I was already in my 30s. Dad's gotta dad, I guess.)

Aw, thank you! And I wish, lol, I'd love to be that fit (within reason at least). But kinda? The hair is about as close as I could get to what I have normally (it's really grown out irl at the moment thanks to the pandemic) and I do actually want to dye it, though I think I want to go teal, not blue. The rest is sort of close-ish I guess. Usually my avatars aren't 'me' but the first one often is, or at least as close as I can get lol.

The art on my profile, though, is actually me, albeit at more my target weight than my current. It's even one of my favorite outfits, lol.

Also your current avatar is so pretty! Very sort of iridescent looking colors. o3o

@MoodyB: I have depression, bipolar, and a slew of anxiety disorders (and possibly ADHD). It is definitely exhausting. Here's to more 100% (or at least closer) days in the future!

@ArsenicAttitude: I haven't done everyday makeup (a full face anyway) since high school, lol. At some point I just decided it was more trouble than it was worth (to me at least). I'm always amazed by people who do their makeup all nice, especially when they do it every dang day! I'm just not patient enough I guess, lol.

I love Stardew Valley and Sims 4 (I have over 10GB of custom content for the latter >_>; ). I really want to play Animal Crossing sometime, it looks so fun and peaceful. I've only seen glimpses of Miitopia, though I used to play the Mii app, whatever it was called, when it was around (kinda miss that actually).

What webtoons do you read? I recently got into one called "Acceptance" that's super cute, and I also read "The Little Trashmaid," which is adorable, though a bit sad (with a good message on littering).

I know people incorporate perler bead 'pendants' in kandi jewelry, too, and I've been fascinated by and wanted to learn to make that for years too. Maybe perler beads will be my gateway into kandi, too! :vanora-celebrate:

@MoodyB: Oh gosh, as a chronic illness sufferer myself (invisible ones at that), I understand. What it must be like to be 100% regularly!

@ArsenicAttitude:
Hello! Do you mean like everyday makeup or do you do costume stuff? o3o (either is neat, I can't really do either so I'm always impressed by people who can lol.) Any particular games you enjoy or just gaming in general?

I feel you on the short attention span. I have a hard time reading for the same reason.

I tried crochet once, but didn't get very far before losing interest, lol. And perler beads look fun! I've never done it but I've been thinking of getting a mini craft iron for another project so maybe I'll give it a whirl.

@MoodyB: Oh gosh, that sounds like a pain. I suppose it's better than actually getting the illness though!

Glad to hear you're feeling better. :)

I wouldn't be opposed to one or two of a small species of snail in my terrarium eventually. I actually might look into that! And yeah, bettas are tricky when it comes to tankmates; some are more trouble than others, lol. I've had many, both males and females, and every single one has its own distinct personality!

I really really want a betta again; I miss them so much. I'd like to do a five gallon, maybe finally try my hand at a planted tank or even a blackwater tank, as bettas loooove those tannins in the water.

@MoodyB: On your first shot? That sucks; most people I've heard haven't had much in the way of side effects on their first shot, it's usually the second one that knocks people out for a day or so. I hope you feel better quickly!

@Juliette: Baking is totally therapeutic, though I think to some extent cooking can be too. At least I enjoy making enchiladas! And yay, glad to hear you figured out the oven, lol. Pizza sounds yummy. o3o

@Jessamine: Oh I feel ya; I had a bad experience years ago with some people in a group roleplay I was brought into by a friend, like really bad, and didn't roleplay again for years. Fortunately it happened kind of naturally with a current group of friends on discord and I found I could still do it (I thought that, like my creative writing, I had a sort of 'roleplaying block'). Sorry to hear you had a bad breakdown, though; that's actually what caused me to drop out of college, was a nervous breakdown. I know it's not a fun time. I wish you the best in recovery.

I'm super obsessed with rainbows in general, lol. I actually am pretty heartbroken that I accidentally got rid of my furry rainbow rave set when I had to get rid of most of my stuff a couple years ago. That's something I meant to hang onto. Hopefully I can find decent replacements eventually. And ooh, that sounds cool! I don't think I ever finished Tokyo Ghoul but what I saw was awesome, I do highly recommend it! I used to have a bunch of costume makeup, too, though I didn't experiment nearly as much as I should have (mostly at Halloween lol).

@Wildfire: I agree, partly because I want fun creative tanks to make a comeback!

Well good luck finding something that works for you. Maybe you need special insoles or something. o3o

@Aisukohi: Right? Fortunately being frozen I think it'll be pretty easy; just heat and eat. We have vanilla ice cream to go with it. :D

Oooh cookies. I last made cookies (oatmeal raisin chocolate chip) around Easter. I kinda wanna make 'em again but I gotta buy the ingredients first.

@Ava: Really? How weird! I lived in South Pasadena and both the Vons and Pavilions there, and the Walmart in Rosemead where we shopped regularly, as well as I think the Targets in Pasadena, carried it. I don't remember if the nearest Ralph's did. o3o But if nothing else maybe you can try around that area the next time you're that way?

Oddly enough the whole time I lived there (over 8 years) I don't think I went into a Jons once, lol. I didn't even know what it was tbh, but I remember seeing the sign.

I really miss L.A. :vanora_cry:

Posted in Cooking Mishaps Posted 3 years ago

@Ava: Maybe it depends on where in California you are? I was in Los Angeles, which has a big Asian population, so maybe that's why it was so easy to find. :o Never saw the shrimp or beef or miso, but regular and chicken was everywhere. I've done egg with ramen before but not in a really really long time. Kinda want to try that again. o3o

@Aisukohi: Not yet, but maybe later. I think we're baking our frozen peach cobbbler today though, so I might wait a couple days before doing the bread.

And...what the hell that's beyond disgusting. D: D: D:
