@Wildfire: I'm already dealing with a teen who thinks shampoo and conditioner are bad for your hair. lmao.
Anyhow,

Good morning. <3
@Wildfire: I really appreciate your offer. I may lean on you for advice sometimes. <3 The more advice, the better. It will keep my brain going with ideas on how to keep her entertained without technology. She got in trouble because of social media. So technology is cut off for now except for school. We are avid gamers and tv people, so she has to earn her time on it. Once the trust is established, she'll fit in beautifully in our house. lol. I'm just really hoping to get to that point eventually.
@Wildfire: I'm really appreciating the support and well wishes on taking in my teen niece. When I took in a toddler 5 years ago, I got a lot of negative reactions and bad advice. :<
Man, Life has changed like mad since then.
@Wildfire: She's 14 and hitting puberty pretty hard. Her hormones jump quickly, and her mom can't handle it anymore. Or at least needs distance/a break while those hormones settle a bit. The whole situation is a bit complicated. I'm basically the last resort card for her mom before she sends her daughter off to a teen facility again.
My primary job with her will be teaching her basic home habits and how to make friends.
@Wildfire: The variables make me nervous because I can see what can go wrong. I'm hoping for the best. Keep things calm and my husband can re-enforce rules if need be. She can be a spit fire sometimes.
@Wildfire: I'm getting my kids back on school tasks now that school is off winter break. I'm getting my niece adjusted to my house rules.
Today is good though. So far so good. <3
@Wildfire: I'm hoping there will be fun times. My niece is used to a lot of stimulating activities. My house is a calm environment.
@Wildfire: well I hope your new year will be calmer than mine. <3
On new year's day, my sister called and we agreed to send her daughter to my house, the next day- I picked her up from the airport. So I am now the guardian of my teenage niece.
@Wildfire: My new Year started strong. I want to say stressful, but that word doesn't quite fit.

Happy Monday morning of the new year. <3
Good Morning.
@Wildfire: I do not. I honestly lost track of time and didn't realize tomorrow is the first. lol.
Last night, I remembered I downloaded a 3D design program on my computer[a couple years ago]. So I woke up wanting to play with it. XD
It's been updated a lot since I last messed around with it.
Do you have anything planned for today?
@Purpsy: I'm good. I've recently discovered animal crossing on the switch, so I've been playing a bit of that. I see why it's the game of the year.

@Wildfire: So far so good. My coffee just got done brewing. I've turned on the switch to play some animal crossing for a bit. Life is good today. :p
@Wildfire: Yeah, I suppose. I have that yucky feeling that comes hand-in-hand with giving up. lol.
Today will bring new things though. How's your morning/afternoon?

@Purpsy: Good morning! :)
@Wildfire: My sister called me last night and didn't approve of my methods of the project. So I gave up and went grocery shopping.
She needed a colorful, line art to be expanded and traced, and re-colored in adobe illustrator. I'm not familiar with that program. I got it downloaded. It's the opposite of my own favored art program. :T
