There was silence on the other side for moment.

"...no!" she then heard.

And she heard a LOT in that word.

Specifically, she heard surprise, guilt, concern, outright worry...

It was clear Karivyn was feeling quite sorry for what had just happened.

Odds were that Sara wasn't too thrilled, either.

Ryker just entered the room and made his way over, taking Eke's hand.

"...sorry." he apologised.

"That was a mess." he said.

"You... all right?" he asked him.

"Starting to feel better?"

Ceth started to look as well, but kept checking up on Callie and co, to make sure they were all right.

'REALLY hope those seekers don't hurt them...' he thought.

Meanwhile, Xeri was checking rooms, until she stopped at a specific one.

She paused and opened it... which ended up being a mistake.

That was the room that Karivyn and Sara were hiding in.

And the centaur had taken that door opening to mean an enemy was coming... and so he let an arrow fly towards her chest.

Ceth nodded.

"Meet in our room." he agreed.

He then paused, and looked around.

"Should we find Sara and her guardian first?' he asked.

"And if so, who's searching for them?" he asked further.

"....yeah." Ceth whispered.

He then looked around.

"And I... don't know..." he admitted.

"Should one of us look for her?'' he asked.

Meanwhile, Karivyn and Sara were in one of the rooms... one they had randomly ducked into... with the former readying his bow and arrow.

"Just let them try and take you." he said.

"I've never killed a human before, but there's a first time for everything when you're a warrior."

Ceth was quiet, before looking at her.

"Oh?" he asked.

"Cool." he said.

"We should be able to slip by them, and perhaps use a room that they've already searched." he suggested.

"They won't think to look where they've already looked."

Adym's ears had heard the word as well.

'Damn it.' he cursed internally.

'What do we do now? Come on, THINK!' he barked at himself internally, as he wracked his brain for an answer.

Meanwhile, Ceth and Xeri had been hiding as best they could, but from where they were, they saw Callie, Adym and Kai being 'escorted' to the others.

"Crap." Ceth growled.

"That's not good." he said.

"Xeri, we need to do something, and fast." he told his sister.

The doctor just sighed heavily.

"All right, all right." he lamented.

"I will go and get your significant other." he told him.

With that, he left to do so... and Ryker poked his head up from above the window.

"...." he was silent, before gently opening it.

"....great." Kai muttered.

"Oh, wonderful." Adym mumbled.

They then stood up, making sure their hands were where the person could see them.

"All right, all right." Adym said.

"Easy, there. No need for people to get hurt." he went on.

"Just tell us what you want." he continued, trying to feign ignorance and make them think they were trying to cooperate.

People started to panic and drop to the floor when ordered, and Adym just sighed.

"We do, sadly." he said.

"Really wish we didn't." he muttered.

"Tell me about it." Kai growled.

"They're cowardly and cumbersome, and all they do is make people monsters." he said.

"They make monsters masquerading as people show their true selves." Adym corrected him.

"But that's neither here nor there." he quickly went on. "We need to do something before people start getting hurt." he suggested.

"No, it isn't." Adym agreed.

"It seems like they're going to try and search the entire ship." Kai commented.

"Looks like they may be heavily armed, as well. Everyone seems to be scared, but I can't see what they're doing, or what kind of weapons they're using." he said further.

"We may need to fall back." Adym suggested.

"We can't just rush into this half-cocked."

Adym just cursed in elven.

"None." he muttered.

"At least one...?" Kai mumbled.

"Yeah." Adym replied.

"They're referred to as 'Crux Seekers'." he said. "They hunt out and look for cruxes... and generally, they're paid by less-than-virtuous people to do it." he commented further.

"...not good." Kai said.

"To massively understate it." Adym agreed.

"Callie, you all right?" he then asked Callie, as Kai narrowed his eyes and started to scan the area to see if there was anything he could do.

"......" Karivyn was silent, before they heard screaming out from the desk.

"Definitely a commotion going on." he said.

"Come, let's see if we can't find a safe place to observe." he told her.

At that point, Callie and co. were making their way to where they heard the disturbance, when they heard orders being barked.

"We know at least ONE of them is onboard!" a harsh voice yelled.

"Bring her to us! BRING THE PRINCESS!"
