They only fall... a-part.
Can it be.. undone?

Ryker paused for a moment, and dug into his memories.

He thought for a good 10 seconds, before snapping his fingers.

"Ah!" he exclaimed.

"I remember that!" he told Eke.

"Yeah, sure, no problem." he said.

"I can definitely make that up for you when we get home." he finished with a light smile.

"It's as dangerous as it is pretty." Adym confirmed.

He then plucked the rose from the soil, and made his way to Xeri. Once he was close enough, he took one of the thorns, and jabbed it into the wound that had been seared closed.

As soon as he did that, Xeri felt an immense painful burning sensation spreading throughout her body. It was almost like there was a fire inside her, raging and burning, threatening to burst out from her.

Just when she felt she would be engulfed by it, it disappeared as quickly as it came.

And, sure enough, she felt the tingling sensation throughout her body... and she immediately realised it was easier to breathe.

"Give it a few days before you're back to 100%." Adym told her.

Ceth now looked panicked.

"That's not good!" he exclaimed.

"It's not." Adym replied. "In due time, she will be completely paralysed, and barely alive by the time we get to shore." he told the group. "That poison is very strong, and getting it with it has a very high mortality rate." he went on.

"How can you be so calm!?" Ceth asked him angrily.

"...because it's child's play to counteract." Adym responded simply, causing Ceth to freeze where he was.

"...excuse me?" he asked.

"Well, okay, it's child's play for me, because... well... I'm what I am." Adym clarified.

"Oh. Okay, yeah, that makes sense." Ceth admitted.

Adym then placed a finger in the potted plant that was still near him, and a gorgeous jade-coloured rose grew out from the earth... though it had some particularly nasty-looking thorns on the stem.

"I'm going to need to prick you with one of the thorns, where you sustained the initial injury." the wood elf told Xeri.

"I won't lie, it's going to hurt like buggery for about 10 seconds, but it should subside, and you'll feel a soothing tingle moving through your body." he warned her further.

"....." Ceth was now silent.

"Hmph." he muttered.

It seemed he still wasn't happy... but he was at least satisfied with that explanation.

"...so." Adym commented.

"If I were to wager a guess, you need some help." he told her.

"I can sense something in you." he went on.

"Something... well, not nice."

There was silence for a moment... before they all noticed a very dark aura around Ceth.

".....is that so..." he said heavily.

"Well, then." he said further.

"Looks like I may need to... pay a visit... to that horse." he commented.

"Have a... talk... with him..." he went on.

"Explain that there are consequences for attacking my sister."

"I got hit by a stray projectile." Adym responded.

Then, the three of them explained the situation that had happened, each giving their own accounts, but they all gelled together into a cohesive story.

"So... yeah." Adym muttered.

"Seems Kai needs to recharge, Callie and I got injured... and..." he went on, before pausing and trailing off, narrowing his eyes.

"Seems we're not the only ones who got hurt." he commented, looking at Xeri.

Karivyn and Sara watched as she left, and the former sighed heavily.

"I hope she finds the help she needs." he said.

Meanwhile, Adym was sitting with Callie and Ceth, who were looking him over.

"You gonna be all right?" Ceth asked.

"Yeah, I think so." Adym replied.

"The vine's already working its miracles." he assured therm.

"Oh." Ryker replied.

"All right." he said.

"Do you want something to drink?" Aly asked him.

"Even if for when you wake up, or for later?" she asked further.

"Just so you'll have something nice to wake up to." she reasoned with a smile.

"Allow me." Karivyn said.

"You really should not be up and about." he reasoned.

"...however, I DO recognise that there's nothing I can do to stop you, really." he then admitted.

"If you feel you must go, then go." he told her.

"If you can find help for yourself, all the better." he added.

They only fall... a-part.
Can it be.. undone?

Karivyn thought for a moment.

"It's derived from the Salanylus Plant." he told her.

Salanylus was a plant that grew only in select forests, and poisons made from it were considered to be very unique. They could range in effects from a slow death, to paralysis, to a burning sensation (mild to severe), and many others. It was very versatile.

"I should have had the paralysis mixture on them." he commented.

"But from what you've described, it may be the burning one..." he went on.

"Admittedly, I've never really spoken to anyone that has fallen victim to it before." he then admitted.

"Mostly because they either die, or really don't have the attitude or intelligence to talk to me." he added.

Karivyn was silent again, and just sighed.

"So no real help until we dock." he said.

"....as long as you'll be all right... relatively speaking, anyway." he commented.

He then looked towards the door, and shook his head.

"We were lucky." he told her.

"Those seekers had very strange devices with them."

Karivyn still looked guilty,

"Darn it." he cursed lightly.

"That poison..." he mumbled.

"I'm so sorry about this." he apologised.

"Is there anyone on board that might be able to help?' he asked her.

"That you know of, anyway?"

Karivyn had made his way to Sara, and they had embraced each other, before he paused and looked at her.

"Ah..." he stammered, before pausing.

"Oh my goodness, that hadn't occurred to me..." he said.

"Hold on!" he quickly said further.

"I should have something to help.' he told her.

"I believe I have a salve that may help neutralise the poison."

After a bit, there was a knock on the door.

"It is I!" Karivyn declared, before opening it.

"My apologies." he said.

"But my skills were needed in the battle up above." he told them.

"Is everything all right?" he asked.

"You both doing all right?"
