Azazel just sighed.

"Damn." he said.

"That's... impressive." he commented.

"I guess he REALLY doesn't want it known." he said further.

"I'm sure he'll open up soon enough, though." he went on.

"Hope so, anyway..." he mumbled.

"Other than that, how's he been?" he asked her.

Azazel thought for a moment.

"About that, yeah." he said.

"Maybe a little more." he commented.

"And yeah, seems you've done wonders for him." he went on.

"Now... have you learned anything more about him?" he asked.

"We can discuss other info later, but what about HIM?" he asked further.

"Any idea WHO he is?"

Ash shook his head.

"I know where it is." he said.

"I'll head up there now." he told her, before going behind the desk and grabbing the key to it.

"See you later!" he called to her, running off... just as Azazel appeared.

"Heh." he chuckled.

"Seems like the kid's getting bolder, more confident, and more comfortable." he said to Rylie.

Ash shook his head.

"You're nice, and that's all that matters." he told her.

He then paused and looked around again.

"Seems a bit crowded." he commented.

"I think I'll go up to the room." he said.

"Just be out of the way, maybe lay down for a bit." he continued.

"That all right?" he asked.

"Or... wait..." he mumbled.

"If I can't eat in the room, I'll sit and eat first." he corrected himself.

"I think we do." he responded.

"I'll go and get the chief." he told her.

He then disappeared, and Ash looked back to Rylie.

"Hey..." he said.

"ARE you like my Mom?" he asked.

"Which is to say... would you be my Mom, considering the circumstances and such?"

The man just laughed as well.

"No, silly." he said.

"YOU." he told her.

"After all, you took in Ash." he went on.

"You take care of him." he continued.

"You might as well be his Mom." he reasoned.

"And it's recent, so 'new'." he added with a shrug.

"The boss really hasn't shown ANY interest in anything like that." he finished.

"Hey, no problem." he replied.

He then smirked, and chuckled lightly.

"After all, have to keep the new Mom happy." he commented.

Ash, meanwhile, was looking around, sniffing the air, and paused when he heard that.

'...Mom?' he thought.

He then went silent, and just decided to look in one direction constantly.

"You know we always have room for you and Ash." the man responded.

"Come on in." he said.

With that, the three of them headed in, and towards the desk.

"I'll let the boss know you're here." he told her.

"There anything you want him to bring up?' he asked.

"Bear meat if he has it!" Ash piped up.

They sighed.

"Indeed." he told her.

"Not even alcohol to blame this time." he said.

"Just decided to up and be a nuisance." he lamented, shaking his head.

"Anyway, welcome back." he greeted them.

"How are things going?" he asked.

"Need a place to stay?"

Ash nodded and climbed up onto the horse.

"All right." he said.

"I'm ready." he told her, as she seated herself on the steed.

He then smiled, and held on.

She could see he was excited. He loved riding her horse.

He'd said it made him feel lighter than air.

Ash was silent again.

"Mm." he mumbled.

"...Walsh..." he then said under his breath.

"Ashley Walsh..." he repeated.

"Heh." he chuckled.

"I like it." he said further, before he perked up.

"Someone's coming this way." he told her, pointing west.

Ashley paused for a moment.

And she saw his eyes light up.

"R-really!?" he asked.

"You'll r-really let me u-use your family name???" he asked her.

She merely nodded.

And she saw immense relief and happiness in his expression.

Almost like he was now allowed to... hide from something.

Ash froze when she asked that.

And he shrunk away.

"...I'm nobody." he said.

"I have no family name." he told her.

"I'm just Ashley. Just Ashley." he repeated.

"Please... I'm just Ashley..." he said again, his voice quivering slightly.

"No family name." he said once more.

Inside, Ryker sat down and decided to watch TV.

He knew Eke would be back inside when he was ready.

"Hm." he mumbled.

"Guess I'll order in tonight."
