Hal was silent for a moment, before looking at her.

"I don't know if I can do that." he said.

"I'll try." he told her.

"If this works, you'll know." he finished.

He then extended his hand and snapped his fingers.

"......hope it works." he muttered.

"Or you get SOME kind of info to help..."

Hal followed her, shutting the door behind him.

"Yeah, I guess so." he said.

The two of them then made their way down to the medical wing, where Zeke had just finished briefing all the staff there about what was going on. He then turned and saw her there, along with Sharp.

"Hi, boss." he greeted him.

"Hello Zeke." Hal replied.

"What brings you here?" Zeke asked him.

"Angela's orders." Hal responded, citing her reasons and such... and making Zeke start to go pale in the face.

"....." Ryker was silent, before the demon took over.

"Eke." he said, addressing him by his name for the first time.

"Don't waste time lamenting what could have been." he told him.

"Focus on what's ahead, and push forward." he finished.

He then pointed a finger to the ground, and a laser-like beam of energy shot out, which he then started to 'drag' through the soil.

"I'll cut a hole in the ground for his bones." he went on, before closing his eyes and sighing.

"Although if it'll REALLY bother you... there's a chance I can get you a chat with him." he muttered.

"....what?" Hal asked.

"Angela, why?" he asked her.

However, before she had a chance answer, he just sighed heavily.

"Nevermind." he said.

"I know better than to argue with you." he commented.

"Plus, your authority technically supersedes mine when it comes to health matters." he then muttered.

"Or... I think that's how it goes." he added, shaking his head and stepping away from his desk.

"......yeah, sure." Hal responded.

"Not sure what's been happening." he said.

"I think the stress of all this is finally getting to me." he told her.

"I just haven't been able to focus or pay attention, and that's not good." he lamented.

As he spoke, Angela noticed something.

He was describing the symptoms of early onset of... whatever this was.

And he was UNAWARE of it.

"Huh?" Hal muttered.

"Oh, yes! Yes, that is good!" he said.

"Good. At least he's not getting worse." he reasoned.

He then sighed, and shook his head.

"Ow." he mumbled.

"Damn headache." he growled.

"Just won't go away."

Hal was silent as well, but his expression was a bit blank.

He then shook his head, and seemed to mentally bring himself back to reality.

"Then we need to think, and think fast." he said.

"Something needs to be done." he reasoned.

"Hmmm." he mumbled.

"I'll see if I can call any favours in from some friends of mine. They're good at problem-solving." he told her.

He then paused for a moment.

"Ah. Just need to remember my password." he muttered.

"...." Hal was silent for a moment.

"I... I see." he said.

"Uh, well... at least that's progress of some sort." he commented.

"At least there's that." he reasoned.

"I'm glad to hear it." he went on, before he paused for a moment.

"Uh... is something wrong?" he asked her.

"Well, I mean, you said you don't know how to counter it and such." he then said.

"I suppose that'd be a mood-killer." he admitted.

There was about 10 seconds of silence, before she heard Hal.

"Ah, come in." he said.

Something about the tone of his voice was... off... it sounded a little distracted, like he'd been concentrating on something else intently, or... like he wasn't paying attention at all.

She had little time for that now, though, and opened the door.

Hal looked over towards her, and smiled slightly.

"Ah, hello." he greeted her.

"How can I help you?" he asked.

"........" again, Ryker was silent for a moment.

"I'm not sure what he would have said." he admitted.

"Other than he's proud of you. That he's glad you have people that care about you, and people you care about in return. How you're doing something with your life, and how you're living it to the fullest." he continued.

"Know how I know?" he asked.

"Because it's how I feel." he told him.

"And if you want to bury the bones, we'll bury the bones." he added with a small smile.

Zeke nodded in response.

"Of course." he replied.

"I'll make sure everyone knows." he said.

"I'll call a small meeting and tell them all at once." he went on.

"Anyway, get going." he told her.

"Sharp needs to know about this." he continued.

"I would have gone to him first, but... uh, well... actually because of what I learned about Liv... the first thing that came to mind was to tell you." he then admitted, shaking his head a little.

Ryker didn't even seem to react to the snapping.

However, when he looked at the bones, he sighed.

"...damn." he muttered.

"Just... damn." he said.

He then got close to Eke, and placed a hand on his shoulder.

"At least it's over." he told him.

"It's over. For sure."

Zeke just sighed heavily.

"I wish I could say I was lying." he told her.

He then proceeded to tell her what happened when he went to their home. How he'd found Liv, how the fae had stopped him, what they had said, and what they had done to himself.

"They showed me everything." he went on.

He then told her the knowledge he had been given. Every last detail.

"So... I mean... yeah." he finished, not sure what to say at this point.

"...." Zeke was silent, before stepping in.

"It is." he said.

"I have two pieces of news." he told her.

"One good, one bad." he went on.

"...one is very bad." he then muttered.

"Regardless... the good one first." he said.

"I know what's happening to the Unit." he told her.

"Bad news... it's gotten to Olivia..." he then added at the end.
