Zeke looked ready to snap on them, but stopped himself.

"She'll not want to be disturbed for this." he told them.

"But she NEEDS to hear it." he continued.

"It's involving the health of her daughter." he went on.

There was more to it than that, yes, but he knew this would be the quickest way to see her... if this even worked.

"Fairly sure she'll do anything that involves Olivia."

He was frozen in place. Stunned. Shocked.

"Oh..." he said.

"Ohhhh no..." he mumbled.

"Thank you." he told the Fae.

"Thank you so much." he finished, before disappearing from where he was. He made his way to the Unit, and rushed down to the medical wing.

"Angela?" he said when he arrived.

"Angela, please, we need to speak!"

Zeke just sighed.

"Yeah, all right." he said.

"It's the quickest way." he reasoned.

"Let me sit, first." he then said further, making his way to the den, with the fae following. He stopped at one of the comfier chairs, sat down, massaged his temples a bit, and looked at the spite.

"All right then." he told her.

"I'm as ready as I'll ever be."

Ryker then shrugged, and summoned energy before him. The energy blasts Eke's wounds, sending pain shooting throughout his body, but the wounds were being closed at an amazingly quick rate, and it also seemed like Eke's blood production had increased temporarily, to try and combat the loss of blood.

"That should do it." Ryker said.

"Yer outta the woods." he told him.

"For now, anyway."

Again, Zeke was silent.

"....hm." he mumbled.

"I... I see." he said.

"Well... still. Something needs to be done." he told the fae.

"I need to take her to the U-" he started to say, before suddenly pausing.

"...would she be safe at the Unit...?" he wondered aloud.

"There's that weird virus there..." he muttered.

Zeke's eyes widened.

"Attacking the mana?" he asked.

"Oh no..." he mumbled.

"Ohhhh no, no, no." he said, shaking his head slightly.

"She needs help, and she needs it NOW." he told the sprite.

"When did this happen?" he asked.

"How long has she been like this?"

"........" Zeke was silent, before glancing at the fae.

"...not doing well?" he asked.

"How?" he asked them.

"What's going on?" he asked further.

"I want details." he half-demanded.

"If Liv is in trouble, then I need to help her."

"..." Zeke was silent as he saw Liv asleep in her bed.

'Fair enough.' he thought.

He then made his way downstairs, and started to work on some food for her.

A short while later, about an hour or so, the food was close to being ready.

"LIV!?" he called up.

"MAKIN' FOOD! IT'S ALMOST DONE!" he yelled further.

"I've given her enough time. She needs to eat now." he reasoned to himself.

"......" Ryker was silent, before looking over towards Eke.

He said nothing, and just silently crushed the man's throat, before leaving him to suffocate and choke, making his way over to Eke.

"Wow." he said.

"Daddy dearest did a number on ya." he commented.

"I can probably heal you." he then commented.

"It'll leave WICKED scars, though."

Hal stepped forward, and placed a hand on her shoulder.

"I know." he replied.

"I know." he repeated.

"Angela, all I can ask of you, is to do all you can." he said further.

"That's all." he went on.

"And I thank you for it. I know this can't be easy on you." he continued.

"I'm going to try and find out what's going on, as well." he then told her.

"Once we figure this out, perhaps we can start to help people."

"...........you may." Hal responded.

"Yes. You may." he confirmed.

"Jake... you know how close Jake and I are." he said.

"I just... it's safe to say I don't want anything to happen to him." he continued.

"To understate it." he muttered.

"But if it means Jake's life, I am a tool at your disposal." he told her, using phrasing that she had NEVER heard from him before.

Ever.

She could see that Hal didn't like hearing that.

His face was almost emotionless... but the colour had drained some.

"....I see." he said.

"At least he's stable." he said further.

"...do whatever you can for him." he went on.

Jake was one of his oldest friends.

And Angela knew that.

"....same as the others..." Hal mumbled.

"Oh dear." he said.

He then sighed, before snapping his fingers.

"Oh! Jake!" he exclaimed.

"How is he doing?" he asked.

"Given what happened to myself up there, I can only imagine what happened to Jake." he went on.

"How is he recovering?" he asked her.

"...will he even make it?"

Hal sighed.

"It's... complicated." he said.

He then proceeded to tell her what had happened, what she said, what she did, what HE did in response... everything.

"It was... frightening." he admitted.

"I'm concerned for her." he said further.

"It's just as though she's... mentally shut down." he went on.

"She's not responding to anything."
