"No, she's human." Jake replied. "My senses told me so, and you KNOW I'm accurate." he told her. "So there's no question about it, she's human... just... there is a sleeping power within her that is almost frightening." he went on.

"I'm not saying I don't trust her." he then quickly said. "But we need to keep an eye on HER, as well as the boy she was with." he went on.

"We'd be fools if we were to ignore our instincts." he finished.

Meanwhile, Levi looked around absently, before looking at Ally.

"...what'd you think of that security guard?" he asked her.

"He seemed... well... did he seem threatening to you?"

"Mmhmm." Jake muttered, pressing a button, causing them to hear a buzzing sound.

"In you go." he told them.

"Uh, thanks." Levi replied as they gathered their stuff and started to head inside.

As they were doing so, Jake took out his phone and sent a text to Kiah.

That girl. She's... powerful. was what the text said.

Levi put his passport down as well, and the guard put down his newspaper, looking at the passports. He then looked up at the two of them, and they saw his reptilian eyes.

"....mmhmm..." he mumbled.

"Hmmm..." he muttered further, before nodding.

"All right." he said. "You're clear." he told them, leaning back in his chair.

"Ah... woah..." Levi muttered, obviously more than a little shocked at the eyes.

"Eke..." Aly said quietly.

"You're not weak." she told him.

"Everybody has their limitations." she went on.

"But I can tell you want to talk to Ryker." she then said further. "And I won't stop you." she continued.

She then smiled weakly, and nodded.

"I'll be here if you need me."

"Names." the man said.

"Levi Hughes." Levi responded.

"Alyssa Duchannes." Ally chimed in.

"Ah yes, the boss told me to expect you two." the guard responded, before straightening up a little.

"I'm gonna need to take a look at them." he then warned Kiah.

"They know what they're getting into, I assume?" he asked.

"See ya." Illias replied, quickly disappearing into the building.

The three of them then approached the building, and when they stepped inside, Aly and Levi saw a security guard behind a circular desk, hidden behind a newspaper.

It was silent for a moment, before they heard some weird 'sst' sounds.

"...newcomers." he then said.

"I'm heading back to the lab." Illias replied.

"Need to make sure things are all still in one piece." he laughed.

"No, but seriously, I should go and check on some things." he then added.

"Ally, Levi, it was a pleasure to make your acquaintance." he told the two of them.

"Yeah, sure, no problem." Levi responded.

"Kiah, I'll see you in the lab?" Illias then asked Kiah.

Levi was hesitant as well, but extended his hand forward.

The one referred to as Desmond got closer to the hand, darted its tongue out a few times, before it rested its head in the palm of Levi's hand, allowing him to gently stroke it with his thumb.

"...heh." Levi chuckled.

"This... this is kinda cool." he said.

"Like I said, he's a sweetheart." Illias confirmed.

"Helena, behave." Illias said, as a few more snakes investigated them.

"See the one with the diamond-like mark on his nose?" he then asked.

"Yeah.....?" Levi replied quietly.

"That's Desmond. He's a sweetheart." Illias told him. "Feel free to touch him and pet him or whatever." he continued.

"It'll show the others you're okay, too." he added.

"It'll just be a bit jarring." Illias replied.

"Yeah... it... sure sounds it." Levi muttered.

"....." Illias was then silent, before sighing quietly and looking at Kiah.

"Kiah, I'm going to give them a little taste of it." he told Kiah.

Levi started to feel very nervous... just as a snake came out from beneath Illias' hair, and looked at the newcomers.

When they pulled out of the parking area, Levi looked out the window, and noticed the flame decal at work.

"Woah." he said.

"Pretty sweet job on the flames." he told her.

"Heh." Illias chuckled when he heard that.

"That's Kiah for you." he said. "She doesn't go all out all over, but she DOES go all out in what little she adds to her things." he told him.

"That's a good way to do it." Levi responded.

"Ryker's strong. And he loves you." Aly replied.

"I know he does. And you know it, too." she said.

"It's not your fault you're like this, and you know he doesn't blame you." she went on.

"And there's no time where you SHOULD be better." she then said. "This is something that is impossible to predict and tell, so there's no way for you to know if you should be better, or anything like that." she continued.

"So please... please don't beat yourself up for this... it'll hurt everyone, okay?" she asked him, holding him tight.

Illias shook his head.

"The lab is fine." he assured her.

"Seriously. I'm just here to greet you all." he went on.

"Levi. Ally." he then addressed the other two.

"Name's Illias." he introduced himself. "I'm Kiah's coworker and friend." he continued, pausing for a brief moment, blushing for a split-second, but shaking it off quickly.

"Hey." Levi responded in kind.

Levi was still stunned as they dismounted the plane, and he and Ally followed Kiah.

"Woah..." he said to his friend.

"I never knew first class was so relaxing and luxurious." he told her. "The legroom, the drinks, the snacks, it was... amazing." he went on.

"Just... holy hell, it was something else." he finished.

Meanwhile, as Kiah scanned the vehicles, she suddenly noticed a familiar male figure standing behind one in the distance, waving both his arms at her.

It was Illias, and it seemed he was getting her attention to show her where he... and her car... were.
