"Yuh-huh." Ryker muttered.

"Not gonna happen." he said.

"Aw." Aly replied. "Why not?" she asked.

Ryker just paused for a moment.

"...reasons." was all he said, an underlying darkness to his tone.

"Anyway, come and get food." he told them.

"Well, this is amazing stuff." Illias replied.

"I feel energized and ready to go." he told her.

He then sighed as he took another drink, and looked at the files again.

"....so... what first?" he asked.

"Where do we start with all this?" he asked her.

"Because... there's a good amount to sift through."

"....I noticed that." Illias replied.

"That... may present a problem." he told her.

"But I won't know until we perform some tests, to see just how important the venom is." he went on.

"Which means we should get to work." he reasoned with a small sigh, before drinking some of his coffee.

"...wow." he said.

"Better than it usually is." he commented.

"We get a new kind in or something?" he asked her.

Aly returned the smile.

"You do, too." she said.

"I can see it in your eyes. You're so handsome, and I can almost see into the depths of your soul when I look into them." she told him.

"All right, all right, enough mush." Ryker then interrupted them.

"Food's done." he said.

"So come and get it while it's hot!"

Aly nodded.

"He was that sort of man." she said.

"Everyone loved him." she told him.

"Even though he was an elder dragon, he never acted like one. He insisted on being treated like everyone else." she continued.

"...you look a bit like him, too." she added with a soft smile, before she hugged him in response to his kiss.

Illias sat down at the table when she handed him the folder, and started to look through the contents.

"....oh wow..." he said.

"Woah..." he mumbled further.

"Oh, holy crap..." he then commented, stunned.

"Is.. is this...?" he said further, before shaking his head.

"Is... this for real?" he asked. "Because this is AMAZING work." he said. "This looks to be the work of a veritable genius." he commented further.

"But this could make all the difference." he told her.

"This is the break we've been looking for, Kiah!"

"Naw, there's plenty." Illias replied.

"I literally just made a fresh pot, so there's enough for a giant mug for both of us." he told her.

He then looked about to say something more, before he froze.

"Ah..." he stammered.

"You did!?" he exclaimed.

"That's great!"

A few seconds later, she heard a door being opened, and when she looked down a small hallway, she saw Illias poking his head out of the coffee break room.

He looked over towards her and waved.

"Hello!" he called back.

"I'm making some coffee!" he told her.

"It's almost done if you want me to come see something!" he then added.

Aly paused for a moment, and then withdrew her head.

"...yes." she replied.

"Yes, I did." she said.

"Why?" she asked, before pausing and thinking about it.

"Wait..." she mumbled, seeming to realise something.

"Was that you that was there!?" she asked him.

"I hope so, too." Sharp replied.

"Again, good luck." he said.

He then hung up the phone, and sighed.

"Please let this be what works." he whispered quietly.

"Please... just... let this be what they need." he finished, before sitting back in his chair.

"Dr. Remmington." Sharp replied, remembering how she preferred to be referred to.

"It's Agent Sharp. I have just sent you an email containing information that will be crucial to your research." he told her.

"I just wanted to let you know, so you could read it post-haste." he then said.

"I'll leave you be, now. Good luck in your research." he finished.

As she sent the email, she was immediately greeted by a myriad of aromas wafting around her... and they all smelled wonderful. She could easily identify them all as the makings for the sandwich that Ash had mentioned before, as well as spiced fries.

She also noticed that a big black feline seemed to be eyeing her suspiciously and confusedly, like it didn't know what to make of her.

And meanwhile, Sharp had received the email. He skimmed it over, and nodded to himself.

"This is it." he said.

He then forwarded the email to Kiah, before picking up his desk phone and calling her down in the lab.

"....." there was silence on the other side, before she heard a sigh.

"I would prefer it if you got back ASAP." Sharp told her.

"Every moment is precious." he said.

"We cannot afford any more deaths caused by these monstrosities." he reasoned.

"That being said, if you can give me ANY information to relay to Kiah and Illias here, then I might be a little more forgiving in you being an hour late or so." he then told her.

"So it all depends on whether the info can be given over the phone, or needs to be done in person."

"Oh, cool." Ash replied.

"I'm making up lunch for everyone." he said.

"Want to stick around for some?" he asked Aedan.

"I'm making philly cheesesteak sandwiches."
