Ryker thought for a moment.

"A walk sounds good." he said.

"And... something sweet?" he asked.

"Hmmm." he mumbled.

"I think I know what to do." he told him.

"Feeling like brownies?"

Hal nodded in response.

"I understand." he said.

"Hmmm..." he then mumbled, thinking about it.

"I'll do some digging, myself." he told her. "See if I can't find any info on how to destroy them." he said further.

"But this is already amazingly helpful." he continued.

"Thank you for your hard work on this."

"........." Hal was silent for a moment, before sighing.

"Well, at least it's progress." he said.

"This is still extremely helpful." he commented.

"That is odd... I thought for sure that info would have it." he said further with another sigh.

"Also, you didn't find a way to stop them?" he asked.

Ryker just smiled at him.

"Hungry?" he asked.

"Cool." he said.

"What do you want?" he asked. "Anything in specific?" he asked further.

"Or... you know, any preferences?"

"Yeah!" he heard Ryker call back.

Ryker was in the den, sitting on the couch, and sighed.

"Hm." he muttered.

"He slept late." he said.

"Well, means he slept WELL, at least." he added with a shrug, as he waited for Eke to find him.

"I'll be down there in a few minutes." Sharp replied, before hanging up.

Sure enough, he did. It was only a few minutes later, before he entered her office.

"Kiah." he said.

"PLEASE tell me you have good news." he told her.

"Please tell me you found the way to destroy these things."

"...we do?" Illias asked.

"....oh, right! Yeah, we do!" he remembered.

He then sighed as he reached into his hair and roused his snakes, the serpents emerging and looking groggy and tired.

"Sorry." he apologized to them. "We need you guys." he said.

One of them, a temperamental and sassy female, looked around, before yawning widely, and looking like she was ready to just go back to bed.

"Ohhhhh no." Illias said.

"YOU'RE first." he told her, gently grabbing her by the base of her head.

"....hm." Illias muttered.

"All right, see you in a bit." he told her as she left.

Sure enough, about 5 minutes later, Illias made his way to the lab where Kiah was, and sighed.

"Right then." he said.

"I know you're going to need my help as a gorgon." he commented.

"Do you want me to go straight to milking one of my snakes of its venom?" he asked her.

Aly and Ryker watched him go, before they followed.

Ryker got Eke's shoes off of him, and Aly tucked him in comfortably.

The two of them then looked at each other, nodded, and left the room, allowing Eke to sleep.

Aly left the house, saying she needed to get home, and Ryker saw her off, before going and sitting down on the couch.

"Well, seems things have improved for him." he commented.

"Good."

Aly had noticed this, and looked at him.

"Hey Eke?" she said.

"Are you all right?" she asked.

"Hm?" Ryker muttered, looking at Eke.

"Holy crap, you look tired." he said.

"Yeah, you okay?" he asked, echoing Aly's question.

"I'll be there in 5 minutes or so." Illias replied.

"I'm going to clean up a bit of the mess here, and then make my way to you." he said.

"Make things a LITTLE easier for the janitorial staff." he added.

"But yeah, I'll make it as quick as possible." he then assured her.

"Is there anything you want me to bring to the lab when I head out to join you?" he asked.

"A lot seemed... missing, too." Illias replied.

"Almost a bit... disjointed?" he said further.

"I'm not sure how to put it." he admitted.

"But yes, this is strange." he agreed.

"We suddenly get this influx of information. How?" he wondered.

"This seems amazing, even for him."

"Oh." Illias replied.

He then handed the folder back to her, and sighed.

"Maybe take a look." he said.

"There's some revolutionary stuff in there." he told her.

"Some of those things could have changed the course of science and alchemy as we know it." he went on.

"...that might be a bit of an exaggeration." he then admitted.

"But you get my drift."

Ryker just waved his hand flippantly.

"It's already forgotten." he said.

"Seriously. Forget about it." he told him, as Aly got food as well.

"I'm sorry, too." she apologized.

"Think nothing of it." Ryker said.

"If anything, because of circumstances, I need to wait for a bit before I even start considering it."' he then told her.
