Ryker had gotten up in the intervening time, and was looking out the window at the morning sun.

"Morning." he said.

"Sleep well?" he asked.

"And feel good after that shower?" he asked him.

"It can make one feel like a new man." he then commented.

"....mmm..." Ryker mumbled.

"I guess that's true..." he said, as his eyes closed and he drifted off to sleep as well.

The thing about Ryker was that he was a light sleeper. So when the sun was just rising, and the rays peeked in through the curtains, he was the first one to wake up.

And he noticed that Eke was still asleep, beside him.

"......." he was silent for a moment, before sighing lightly, and looking at the ceiling.

'Poor thing probably needed this.' he thought, deciding to wait for Eke to wake up on his own.

Ryker didn't seem to mind Eke playing his hair. In fact, it seemed to relax him.

"Mmm... good question." he responded.

"I remember this town has some touristy stuff to see." he said.

"We might stay and check them out." he said further.

"Or... we'll see..." he finished with a yawn.

"Mm." Ryker mumbled.

"Yeah... yeah, I should." he agreed.

"You're right, I AM feeling pretty tired." he then admitted further, stretching out a little bit.

"I feel like I could sleep for days, actually." he told Eke.

"...doubt I will, though." he then laughed, as he kicked off his shoes against the nearby wall.

Ryker didn't do anything for another moment, before he lightly placed his own hands atop Eke's.

"...I'd rather you not owe me anything." he said.

"I'd... I'd like it if we could just... not worry about owing or anything like that." he said further.

"But... but yeah, I suppose they deserved it." he then admitted, referring to the gang from earlier.

"And you didn't even wake up during that scuffle, so I suppose it's all good." he then said with a light chuckle.

"Oh, it's still night?" Ryker asked.

"Guess I lost track of time." he said.

"......" he was then silent, biting his lip a little.

"...tends to happen when I lose control of myself." he admitted quietly.

"Pretty sure I beat 3 guys half to death earlier." he then said, before explaining the situation that had happened while Eke was asleep. How they had been attacked, but the shard took over, and how he'd literally kicked them into submission... and then some.

"........." Ryker was silent for a moment as he felt Eke's arms around his shoulders.

"Hey." he finally said, removing his hands from his face.

"Good morning." he greeted him, his voice a little on the hoarse side.

"Sleep well?" he asked him.

"Any issues or anything?" he asked further.

Alyssa's 'Vacation' from (and to) Hell

"Where... where ARE they!?" he exclaimed, as he checked his pockets again for the 5th time... only to not find what he was looking for. Again.

"Damn it!" he cursed loudly, as he felt the panic starting to rise within him.

He was Azazel. A demon from hell. But not your typical demon. Even though he was considered to be an upper mid-tier demon in terms of abilities and power, he hated the stigma that came with being a demon, and didn't like what he was 'supposed' to do, as such. As a result, he was an unofficial 'outcast' from Hell, but was still on good terms with a number of entities down there... notably, Elizabeth Xeccan, the head honcho. The Devil, herself. Hence why he could come and go as he pleased between Earth and Hell... for the most part.

But right now, he was panicking. He had lost something extremely important, and needed to find what he had lost.

"Where did I have them last?" he asked himself. "Come on, Azazel, think! THINK!" he ordered himself, his voice rising with each syllable.

Meanwhile, in another part of the Unit HQ, but relatively close to Azazel, a young female was making her way down one of the corridors of the building, when she suddenly heard someone close to her chuckling to themselves... and she swore she also heard the slight sound of something metallic jangling.

"Meh-heh-heh-heh." the one close to her chuckles.

"Priceless." he mumbled to himself under his breath, though the female managed to JUST hear him.

Ryker tried to pick up the pace even more, but their pursuers were catching up... and he swore he noticed gleans of metal in their hands.

Sharp metal.

As they got even closer, he felt the pain in his chest flare up once more.

"No... no, please..." he muttered.

When Eke awoke, he was in the bed in the room, but Ryker wasn't sleeping in his own bed. Instead, he was sitting on the edge of it, facing away from Eke, with his face buried in his hands.

He also seemed to remember having a bit of a nightmare that involved a monster trying to kidnap him... but it went away soon enough while he had slept earlier.

• Alyssa's 'Vacation' from (and to) Hell [You're here now]

"........" Ryker remained silent as he felt Eke's soft and rhythmic breathing.

He then paused for a moment, as he noticed some figures slowly following them.

'...damn it.' he cursed mentally.

'Not here. Not now.' he thought.

He then picked up the pace, trying to out-walk their stalkers, hoping to get away without conflict.

"......" Ryker was silent as Eke regaled his story, before sighing quietly.

"Yeah?" he asked.

"I see, I see." he said.

The next thing Eke knew, he was picked up by Ryker, and positioned on his back so that he was more easily carried.

"So." he said.

"What music did you listen to?" he asked.

Azazel nodded and smirked.

"Sure thing." he replied.

"Vacation sounds good." he told her.

"I'm going to have a vacation at home." Tyson said.

"That's all I need." he muttered.

"That, and make sure Miki doesn't come into physical contact with me, as her experiencing what I just did would be... not good, to say the least." he reasoned.

"....to say the least." Azazel agreed.

"He's coming in, too!" they heard Sharp call out from within the office.

"...either these walls are thin, or his hearing is stupidly good." Azazel said.

"Little here, little there." Tyson replied.

"Come on." he then said, as they entered the office.

"All right." Sharp said.

"Tell me everything." he told them, which caused the trio to launch into their explanation, essentially filling in each others blanks, and picking up where other stories left off.

"....at least it was solved." Hal commented when they were done.

"I'm instating a mandatory 3 days off for each of you, to recover from that experience." he told them.
