"That's fair enough." Tyson replied.

"Was worth a shot." he shrugged.

"But we need to be ready for anything." he warned her.

"We have NO idea what's happening, but we really should prepare for death." he sighed.

"Over and over again." he muttered.

"This won't be fun. At all."

After a couple of seconds, he heard Ryker's voice from behind him.

"...you wanna look?" he asked.

"We have the money." he said.

"Plenty of it, thanks to the scales." he told him further.

"Go on, take a look inside." he went on.

"Find something you'll like."

Tyson sighed as they pulled out of the parking lot.

"Usually." he said.

"We have some... unique challenges." he told her.

"But we just have to deal with them, day to day." he said further.

"Regardless, any ideas on what's doing this?" he asked, referring to the case.

"Anything familiar?"

Ty was silent for a moment, before he laughed out loud.

"Yep." he said as they got into the vehicle.

"That's true." he admitted.

"Good on ya, kid." he then said, starting up the car.

"Glad ya found someone." he told her.

"Always makes life nicer to have someone." he reasoned.

As they walked, Ty sent a similar text to Miki.

"Poor kid." he said.

"Every so often, things just pile up on her, and she needs that mental health break." he muttered.

"I wish I could help." he said further.

"But I can't. Her abilities are something I just can't help with." he lamented.

"So how are things with you and demon boy?" he asked Aedan as they reached the car.

"You two finally makin' things serious?"

"I'll drive." Tyson responded.

"There anything else we should know?" he asked Sharp.

"All we know is what's in the file." Sharp replied.

"Well then, I suppose we're off." Ty said.

"According to the file, the deaths are starting to quickly rack up." he commented.

"We'd better get to the bottom of this, quick."

"..........." Ryker didn't know what to say here, and just sighed.

"He'll probably be fine." he said.

"...damn it." he then cursed.

He then got up, and slowly followed, wanting to make sure nothing happened.

He didn't trust fate to not be cruel right now.

"Yes, something did." Sharp responded, as Tyson sat down as well.

"Here." he said, sliding a folder towards them.

"Reports of students dying." he told them, as Ty opened the folder.

"...college students." he said. "...and they're finding actual skeletons." he muttered.

"See why you two are fit for this job?" Hal asked.

"...I do." Tyson muttered.

He looked up at the female that had spoken, and sighed.

"Send them in." he said.

"The sooner they're sent out, the better." he reasoned.

The woman nodded and disappeared from the door... and a few seconds later, a pair of people walked through the door. They were Tyson and Aedan, Unit members.

"Sharp." Tyson said.

"King." Hal responded, before they both smirked.

"Please, sit." he then offered them.

"You look however you want to look." Ryker told him.

"We'll find you some new clothes later." he said.

He was glad that Eke seemed to genuinely be feeling better now, and that he was actually eating, but he thought it best to not comment on it right now.

"...." he was silent, and then yawned widely.

"For now, let's relax."

Chronos looked to be about to snap at her for the nickname, but when she kissed him, it seemed to be quelled, and disappear entirely.

He returned it, and as the two of them embraced each other, Vincent noticed this from the window, having gone to get himself something to drink.

"......." he was silent as he saw this, before raising an eyebrow.

'Well.' he thought. 'Even with all that's been happening, and all that's happened, I can honestly say that I had expected this the LEAST.' he told himself.

He then sighed, and smirked.

"Well. Good for you, Syraene." was all he mumbled, as he got himself the drink he wanted.

Ryker had to agree... the smile WAS effective.

"I... I see, yes." he said.

"That... that IS very persuasive." he admitted.

"You're quite talented at that." he complimented him.

"Though more and more, your mother sounds like a real piece of work..." he then muttered.

Ryker paused for a moment when Eke said that.

"Eh?" he asked.

"You could have?" he asked him.

"Well... admittedly, that WOULD have been handy..." he said.

"But how would you have accomplished this?" he then asked.

Ryker smirked when he heard that.

"Well, all right then." he said.

He then looked out the window, and sighed quietly.

"Been a while since I slept indoors." he commented.

"It'll definitely be a change." he chuckled, as he went and grabbed some bread for himself.
