"Very well." Sharp replied.

"We will need a small sample of your mana, though." he told her.

"But we'll make sure to collect it in a very safe and discreet manner, before you leave." he assured her.

"Other than that, here." he said, pushing a piece of paper towards her.

"Employment agreement." he told her.

"Fill it out, and once we mail the transport item to you, you will officially be an employee." he said.

"But feel free to read through that." he then added.

Sharp's smile widened.

"Excellent." he replied.

"Now... you will be a full-time agent." he told her.

"And the chances of you being called in here to interrogate someone are high." he went on.

"However, we have many workarounds for you to deal with." he continued.

"If you cannot secure a reliable mana transport here, we will be more than happy to provide you with an item personally crafted for you, so that you can be here at a moment's notice." he explained.

"Would that be something you would be interested in?" he then asked.

"Whatever would work best for you." Sharp responded.

"I have agents working all over the world, stationed all over the world." he told her.

"Granted, it's handier to have them closer to HQ, but it's not mandatory." he continued.

"Feel free to be stationed back where you live, however long you like." he said further.

"How does that influence your decision?" he asked with a smile.

"I was." Sharp replied.

"Thankfully." he said.

"Now." he then said further.

"I can only assume you've come to me in regards towards your decision to work here or no." he commented.

"Have you made a decision?" he asked her.

She was waiting for a few hours, before the secretary smiled at her.

"He'll see you now, Miss Calder." she told her.

Erica then made her way inside, where she saw Sharp take a quick shot of some spirits, before he pinched his forehead.

"Some people REALLY know how to push my buttons..." he muttered, before sighing.

"Hello again, Miss Calder." he then greeted her with a smile.

"Please have a seat."

As she headed off, she noticed the weather was clouding up even more, and it was clearly going to rain soon.

But thanks to Rene, she didn't mind getting soaked. In fact, she rather liked it. But that was a side-effect of being raised by a mythical water being.

Regardless, she now had a week's free stay at the hotel, and the concierge was gone.

Rene had truly pulled through on this.

The man then handed her a business card.

"If there's anything else we can do for you, let us know." he told her.

"Anything at all." he said.

"Thank you for choosing to stay with us." he continued.

"And apologies again for this unpleasantness."

"Here is fine." he replied.

"I'm a representative of the hotel." he told her.

"We would just like to apologize for the inexcusable behaviour of the concierge." he said. "Rest assured, he has been relieved of his duty, and a replacement is being brought in." he continued.

"And to apologize, the rest of your stay is on the house." he then said.

"As well as anything from the minibar, and any room service." he added.

"We do hope this makes up for the negative experience." he finished.

Talk to you later. Rene responded.

"Excuse me!" she then heard shouted in her direction.

When she looked over towards the sound, she saw one of the suited men making his way over towards her.

"Miss Calder?" he asked.

Erica just nodded.

"May I have a word with you, please?" he asked.

Good. Rene replied.

They'll see to it that he does not work there ever again. he told her.

There is NO reason for him to treat you as he has been. And that's that. he then sent further.

At any rate, enjoy the rest of your stay in San Fran. he then finished.

As she left, she heard the heavy tone the conversation was taking, which pleased her.

When she stepped outside, she saw that the weather was still nice, but it was starting to cloud over... and the clouds themselves looked to be dark.

Which meant that it was probably going to rain sometime soon.

And then she received a text from Rene.

The problem should be taken care of soon.' it read.

After about a minute, she received a reply from Rene, stating 'duly noted'.

And that was all she heard for a bit. She spent the next while in her room, not wanting to go out of it, and see the concierge again. But, eventually, the growling of her stomach made it so that she HAD to go. She needed food.

So, she left her room and made her way down to the ground floor, hoping that she could avoid the conciege... but it seemed that she wasn't so lucky.

Mere moments after she started to make her way to the door, she heard his snide voice.

"Going out? Do be sure to take your time, and don't feel the need to hurry back." he told her.

However, before she could respond, she noticed some people in business suits walk in, which caused the man to be on alert. They made their way over towards him, and stopped when they reached him.

"We need to discuss some things." one of them told him.

"I shall, indeed." Rene replied.

"Talk to you later, sweetie." he said.

"Love you." he finished, before she heard Felix mewl into the phone.

"And I'm sure you heard that." Rene chuckled.

With that, the call was over, and they hung up.

"It's entirely possible that your passive mana can be used for transport." Rene responded.

"For example, filling an object with mana, and then making it so you can use the object to transport yourself." he told her.

"But, like I said, it's your decision." he said further.

"Regardless, I have some calls to make." he went on.

"To see about improving your experience there."
