"Hmmm." Hal mumbled.

He thought for a moment, before raising an eyebrow.

"Go to the lab when you can." he told her.

"I'll let them know you're coming." he said.

"Help them with what they're doing." he continued.

It was a long shot, but he had to try it.

Hal just sighed.

"I doubt it." he said.

"Not unless you have soul-manipulation mana in you, or know a lot about advanced alchemical equations." he told her.

"Either of those would help." he said further.

"Otherwise... no." he sighed.

Hal's realisation came to him instantly.

"...because of what I was complaining about months ago..." he mumbled.

"Of course." he said, pinching the bridge of his nose again.

"That girl, I swear." he muttered.

"Well, that is going to have to wait." he told her.

"As it stands, we're in a crisis involving the shocks, and the soul separation."

Hal paused as well.

"Hm." he muttered. "Well, we're having an issue where people's souls are being separated from their bodies, and we have yet to find a way to bring them back together." he told her. "THAT'S a siseable thing we're dealing with." he informed her.

"But this begs a question first." he then told her.

"You were not originally sent here to help with this, you say." he commented.

She nodded in response.

"What IS your original purpose?" he asked. "Why did my daughter send you here?" he asked further.

He was wondering that ever since Chloe showed up. WHY was she here? What purpose was she to serve while here?

Hal was again silent for a moment, before groaning slightly.

"I swear, her being introduced to that movie started an obsession." he mumbled.

He then sighed and made sure that Chloe had the access she needed, and shook his head.

"Now go." he told her.

"...maybe this damn barrier can come down a lot sooner than anticipated." he went on.

".....and the damn insect can be removed from this building permanently." he added quietly.

"...." Hal was silent for a moment.

"In order to gain access to the main electrical hub, answer me this question." he told her.

"What do your eyes see?" he asked.

"They see the code." Chloe responded.

"...I'll need to have a word with my daughter about this." Hal then commented, before thinking about it.

"Ah!" he said.

"Are you, per chance, the project that her and Leonard have been working on for the past while?" he asked her.

Hal was stunned for a moment, unable to say anything.

"This entire thing was caused by... that insect?" he asked.

He paused once more, before shaking his head.

"I do know of someone that can relocate it, yes." he told her. "It's just a matter of getting them here to do it." he went on.

"And... I admit, checking for more would... be comforting." he then told her.

"I don't want another one of these to cause another incident."

Ryker and Savra sat down as well, and Ryker smirked.

"We'll have to see." he replied, as the server approached them.

"Just so you know how it works, you can go up and get food whenever you want, put the dirty plates on the designated table, and pay afterwards." she explained.

"Cool." Ryker said.

"What can I get you three to drink?" she asked.

"An OJ and some coffee." Ryker responded.

"Ah... chocolate milk, please." Savra told her.

Savra and Ryker looked at each other, before following Eke.

Inside, they all found themselves surrounded by an almost heavenly aroma of breakfast. Meat, pancakes, waffles, syrup, everything.

"Wow." Ryker muttered.

"Nice place." he said, as a server approached.

"Buffet for three?" they asked.

"Yeah." Ryker said.

"Take a seat anywhere, and I'll be right with you." the server responded.

Hal was... amazed, to say the least.

"That's... impressive." he said.

"...wait." he then said.

"Wait, wait, hold on." he said further.

"Australia?" he asked. "Did you say Australia?" he asked her.

"I did." Chloe confirmed.

"...are you saying this attack originated all the way from AUSTRALIA!?" he exclaimed.

"A... container?" Hal asked in response, still amazed by what he saw.

"I... yes, I should." he responded.

He then started digging through a cabinet in the office, before pulling out a large glass container.

"Will this work?" he asked, showing her.

"It's meant to specifically contain mana, but there might be something rubber I can put it in if this isn't enough."

Hal raised an eyebrow when he heard her 'name'.

And already he was starting to suspect something.

".........fine." he said.

"Do what you will." he told her.

'Not like things can get much worse.' he then thought, shaking his head.

'...so let's see if this Chloe can help us.' he went on.

"....Chloe?" Hal asked.

"You're here to help me?" he then asked her.

"Wait, security?" he then wondered aloud, before shaking his head.

"I am getting tired of vagueness." he told her pointedly.

"How about you give me some details, hm?" he asked.

"How are you going to help, and who are you to be able to help us?"

Jake just watched her go, and groaned.

"Well, one MORE thing to compound upon what's happening." he said.

"If this helps, then good. It'd better." he muttered. "Otherwise Hal is NOT going to be happy." he added.

Chloe seemed to know the quickest and most direct way to Hal's office... and she took it. She was there in a matter of minutes, and went to the door, knocking on it.

"...enter." Hal responded, which she did.

When Hal saw her, he looked confused and a bit irritated. But mostly confused.

"Can... I help you...?" he asked, wondering who she was.
