Azari nodded in response.

"Of course, Madam." he replied.

"It will be done post-haste." he assured her, before looking to the other woman.

"Come." he said.

"We have plans to make." he told her, before looking back to the first woman.

"By the way, it seems my sister's spirit is finally starting to fully break." he informed her. "It will only be a matter of time before she is completely and utterly devoted to your will."

He stepped though the door, past the woman, and made his way to the one that had addressed him.

"Unit information update." he said. "Seems they're in a crisis." he told her.

With that, he proceeded to inform her about what he had been told, what had been happening, and everything. He was quick, but spared no details. She would want to hear ALL of this.

"I know you don't actively target the Unit, but they have been a thorn in your side at times." he reasoned.

"Perhaps you can captialise on this, and find a way to cripple them even further... or turn this into a more direct benefit for yourself." he added.

Ryker just chuckled.

"We'll find a place with large portions. Or a buffet." he replied.

"Then we'll be on the road again." he went on.

"Anyway, at least last night's over and done with." he then mumbled.

"...and we have a new traveling companion."

Savra followed Eke inside, and plopped down by his feet, curling into themselves.

Ryker followed the two of them, making sure they left nothing behind, before shutting the door to the RV and getting ready. Once things were secured, he got into the driver's seat and turned the ignition.

"And we're off." he said.

He then looked at Eke and Savra, before smiling at the former.

"Sleep well last night?" he asked, pulling away from the campsite.

"...." Ryker was just silent, as Savra jumped down off the roof of the RV.

"No scratchmarks up there?" he asked.

"No." Savra replied, shaking their fur a little and stretching again.

"All right, guess we're a party of three now." Ryker commented.

"Where to next, you think?" he asked Eke.

"Drive until we find another place to camp, find a place to eat, whatcha want?"

Savra woke up from sleeping, and looked down at Eke as they called out.

A few seconds later, Ryker stepped out of the RV.

"Oh yeah?" he asked.

"Think so, eh?" he asked further, as Savra got up and stretched their body out.

"Well, then let's pack up and get a move on." he told Eke.

"......" Savra was silent as they heard that.

They weren't sure it was good for Eke to be keeping such a secret. But it was not their place to say. Not yet, anyway.

As such, they laid down in a bit of a circular way, and allowed Eke to get comfortable, using them as a pillow, and their fur as a blanket of sorts.

Ryker came out looking for them, saw what was going on atop the roof, met eyes with Savra, and then went back into the RV.

"Hm." he mumbled.

"Well, whatever." he said, wondering about Eke.

Savra just continued to let Eke hug them, and gently licked some of the tears off of his face.

They said nothing, and just let Eke release the pent-up wellspring of emotion that he had kept back.

As they did so, they took a more proud and dignified stance... but this meant one thing.

They were now committed to protecting Eke. They were now a guardian.

And they were being there for Eke, as well as watching out for danger. Their mind was made up.

"...." Savra looked back and was silent for a moment.

There was a puff of smoke around them suddenly, and they were suddenly in the form of a large (bigger than Eke) wolf with bluish-grey fur, and gorgeous sky-blue eyes.

They walked over and nuzzled Eke softly with their nose, trying to lay their head into Eke's lap.

This was something Savra defaulted to when they wanted to comfort someone. They hoped that having a 'dog' to hug and pet would help. Plus, it was their natural form, too.

This did not seem to reassure them.

"...that's not good..." he said.

"What if what I did made it worse!?" they then exclaimed.

"What if I just made things worse for you!?" they asked, turning away and huddling in on themselves.

"I'm sorry, I'm sorry!" they said further, sounding ready to cry.

"Well, I wish you the best of luck in that." Nate responded. "The sooner we can find out any information on this, the better." he sighed.

"..." he was then silent, before shaking his head.

"And be careful." he told her. "We don't want anything to happen to anyone else." he reasoned. "So try and say safe." he finished.

He made his way down the corridor, scratching his chin as he did so. He made his way to a closed door, pausing at it for a moment. The one behind it did NOT like to be interrupted, but this was something different.

This was important. She needed to hear this, and he'd be in very big trouble if he didn't report this.

So he just shook his head and knocked on the door.

"Madam Encrae?" he called through it.

"Hm." Nate muttered.

"I see." he said.

"That's... well, that's both good AND bad." he said further.

"It makes me wonder if this is an attack to steal or leak our data and identities, or if this is just meant to harm us and shut the Unit down." he went on.

"And if it's the latter, are we in danger because of the lockdown?" he asked further.

"Also, where did this originate from? If it's an inside job, the lockdown makes sense, but... argh, this is infuriating." he then growled.

"....great." Nate muttered.

"Well, the cafeteria isn't safe any longer." he said.

"I'll have to tell Dr. Edwards that." he went on.

"And he died right away?" he asked.

She nodded in response.

"While that's nothing too alarming, considering it's agent King, it means we have another to add to the death count for this." he said, unimpressed.

"...and it means that we're running out of places in this building that could be considered 'safe'." he added quietly.

Savra immediately responded to this with concern.

"Eke, what's wrong!?" they asked.

"Can I help!?" they exclaimed further.

"Oh no, oh no..." they mumbled.

"Sh-should I get your friend!?" they then asked him.
