As a former librarian, I loved this thread so much. lol
Thank you for the giggles. <33
Posted in Thanksgiving and Christmas Posted 3 years ago
My favorite Thanksgiving food is Polt... lol, it's a family dish. super basic and pretty much flavorless. XD I'm the only one in my family that's kept this tradition of making and eating it on Thanksgiving.

I'm not sure what I want for Christmas, I'm just hoping my family makes it safely to my house, so we can all enjoy Christmas together. :3
I actually love Applebees, but when it comes to boomers, I think 'after church'. lol. :3

A couple years ago, I'd go to applebees just for their lunchtime beverages with a side of fries. OTL That was a weird time of life for me. Day drinking, potatoes, and moving a lot.
@Another Movie Addict: lol!
I hung out with boomers last night. They definitely had the ol' fashion, 'Boomer' vibes. lol. I had fun. They had fun. It was a good time.
I'm a millennial. So watching them interact with teenagers and other peeps my age last night was hilarious.

I honestly tried to imagine a boomer in a fursuit and giggled a bit.
I always think of applebees as the 'after church' place. XD
@Another Movie Addict: LOL! I was guessing that one! HAH! I feel like I have super powers. llol
That's awesome! I wanna ask which suit you're in, but i feel like it takes away from the group collective vibe. :3
I watched a friend make a suit, it looks difficult to me! But she turned it into a living. So I'm happy for her. She's based out of WA somewhere.
OMG! What amazing Suits! <333
You all look amazing!!
@Another Movie Addict: Oh totally! my kids [and myself] love seeing the fursuits. :3
My friends from back in the day are still a part of the community.
@Another Movie Addict: omgosh! Yes! you and your group are my favorite kind of people. :3
I saw a handful of teenagers when I was out with my kiddos, I didn't see any college kids.
Good Morning!
I had a hard time waking up this morning.
We did a lot of walking and trick-or-treated a good area of our neighbor town.
The last few days have been so busy.
@Wildfire: lol! Well, I admire your son for doing that! lol. That's amazing! and he's in a good working field. I respect people who can be around horses and understand their body language. :)
@Wildfire: Okay, Well, I'm going to need the story on the black horse! lol !

I'm glad your neighborhood is still active during Halloween/holidays even with the pandemic. Being a mom of smaller kids, finding things for them to be excited about has been super tough. My kids are only now feeling the effects of shut down. lol, And around here, everything is re-opened. XD
@Wildfire: I was such a MILD child growing up. I had female friends, but when it came to boy-talk and painting nails, I always opted out. I'm not a 'loud' female or 'girlie'. lol.
Raising a girl has been so difficult for me. Oof. She loves attention, she's loud and aggressively touchy. XD

That's a nice thing about living in apartments, the neighbors are amazing on holidays. <3 We lived in Denver a few years ago in an apartment and Halloween, Easter and the 4th were so fun. Free beers, everyone bought enough food to share... Kids playing and going between apartments. :3

Do you have weekend plans? Will you stay home and hand out candy?
@Wildfire: I'm glad too. My daughter loves attention. So this is perfect for her. She gets to show off her costume.
Well, I have a new neighbor that's ambitiously trying to meet everyone on the block. So they're throwing a party. We'll go over there tomorrow and get to know the new family.
I've seen their girls, and they have the same loud energy as my daughter. So I've been putting off meeting them. XD lol. Our kids will be fence-to-fence neighbors and chaotically loud once they get to know each other.
Halloween, We'll go to the neighborhood town and trick or treat with close friends of ours.
Our neighborhood is too spread out for any decent trick or treating.
