@Wildfire: I'm happy your friend has what you want and she'll be knowledgeable.
I'll need to set up big pots close to the house and wrap chicken wire around the edge of the dirt or outside of the pot. It'll help the raspberries grow straight up and keep large wildlife out. Deer.

Alrighty, I'm going to poof. I gotta try and get some stuff done today.
I had a successful strawberry plant, but the planter I put it in didn't help keep it alive longer. So I've learned my lesson on that.

Next year I'll be making netted pots [to keep the deer out] and grow blueberries and raspberries. My raspberries were flowering and the deer came ALL the way up to my front door just to eat my plant down to stubs. >:c

@Wildfire: oh my gosh, the plants on that side of the US are so different than the ones at our plant nurseries. lol!
What are goji berries?! what can you make with them? :d
I've looked into banana plants. :3 not something I can do around here, that's for sure.

I'm hopefully going to get dressed and do some errands. I have 2 veterans in my house that deserve some hamburgers or brats for dinner. :d

@Wildfire: I had a very "i wish I could drink more coffee" kind of days. It was a bed rest day. The only productive thing I did was make dinner. X)

@Wildfire: Oh Sugarcane! That would be cool. I've always been curious about sugarcane, but never ambitious enough to really look into it.
I know grapes do well in the heat.
I'm actually going to replace some vine plants this spring and put grapes in their place in my yard.

I should've known you already had aloe. lol. :) My knowledge is not useful for sunny condition plants. I know berries, and potatoes, not sunny things.

@Wildfire: well, my mom hasn't called me yet. My husband said she sounded shocked and concerned, rightfully so. I lived with her my last pregnancy. [it's not much of a secret anymore]. My husband said he had to reassure her that I've got my appointments and clinics all sorted out.

Could you plant Aloe on the south side of the house? Those are sun plants and aren't picky about the ground conditions.

@Wildfire: The weekend was busy. Saturday we drove 3 hours each way, Hit a blizzard both ways. lol. Folks around here were not ready. There was a lot of cars in the snowbanks.
My friend's babyshower was .. an experience [I don't like baby showers XD ]. I was more excited to see old friends from our hometown. They drove WAY longer than we did to be there.
Yesterday a couple of our local friends invited themselves over to help with home projects. Which helped so much. omgosh! I have amazing friends.
