@Anarchist Beauty: that is also true.
If you don't voice what you didn't like how will the person who created/written it know what to improve on.
I think i mean when you get constructive criticism when not asked.

Like a lot of times with art people will see a piece, and there is nothing wrong with it
and just receive criticism that makes...no sense.
I remember this one time i did receive criticism because the knees were not perfectly round.
and knees aren't...perfectly round to begin with XD so i found that odd lol
that's more so a stylistic choice.

so true. tho my ex boyfriend was someone who made my passion for writing pretty much disintegrated.
so I don't even know when or if i'd write again.
Back in 2017 and before then I use to write a lot but now i kinda lost that passion from just
an overall bad relationship and one bad experience after another with it.

@Anarchist Beauty: for real. And especially when some people online
can be very harsh or want to give critiques but without asking.
Some people don't mind criticism. But i usually don't just because I know
there is a lot i need to work on XDD

I don't think inkitt is very popular.
i just liked the layout but now i am rethinking my life choices realizing
people read it this year when i uploaded it back in 2017.

I was terrible at writing.
But i am slightly better at drawing. But I also can barely draw. lol.
So i ended up buying some books to help me out.

My art i have not been happy or proud of lately
So maybe after i study on them i'll feel better.

@Anarchist Beauty: Gosh i feel you.
I often post my art on social media
but every now and then i still feel the panic of "oh gosh...do people like my stuff"
or "wait...what if someone i admire...actually likes it...."

and because of this post i remember i had old writing stories up on a site called inkitt
and forgot to take them down but apparently in this year 18 people read it XDD

I am ashamed.
*quit writing and mostly just an artist now*

that's awesome congrats! :vivi-celebrate:
there's something so personal and scary about posting something you've made or worked on and posting it online.

@GoblinsAndTea: since im going towards a more realistic approach in my art i'm going much deeper than proportions so like muscle and bone structure as i just hate my art so much i cant even make art anymore.

im mostly a digital artist but my laptop has so many restrictions it makes it even harder to do basic studies

@Ark: for me i just had such bad stuff come up in September but even before then, anytime i post online i feel im not trying hard enough or being taken seriously as my income is from commissions.

and when i study photos i get such bad imposter syndrome that i just decided i need to study and not post online for the time being.

morpho book series is very detailed and even goes in depth with muscle and bone structure.

Lately I have been avoiding art, for more than one reason but one main reason is I feel I need to do better to improve.
As i don't enjoy my art where it is right now.
So i decided to get some art books!

This series has been suggested a lot so i decided to get two of the books.
My dad got me the hands and feet of the Morpho books and I bought just yesterday the simplified shapes for anatomy and very excited
to practice on my art.

I'll have to update with the pictures lately as i have an extremely low quality phone.
so I have to ask my sister to help me take pictures.

@Wildfire: yeah and saves me money as i do not make much so amazon takes huge chunk of my savings lol

but my book should be here tomorrow

@Wildfire: i basically am only good at portraits. but only facing forward lol.
but a lot say that's one of the hardest angles as some prefer to do like side angles.
but i cannot lol.

I def want to get better with torsos too. i am terrible at torsos lol

So def ordering it today.
and amazon keeps offering me free shipping....so i'll allow it.
even tho i won't use the free prime trial for 30 days but just once since i rarely buy stuff XD

@Wildfire: i think it depends on skill level and study.
like gesture drawing is quick. but studies normally take at the least 1-5 hours but can be even 12-24 hours.
for me it just takes months since idk what im doing lol so i take extra long.

im planning to read it all first and then go back and take notes for a deeper understanding as it talks about bone and muscle strycture which i know nothing about. so i'll have to do a lot of research to understand it better.

@Wildfire: I don't think their supposed to be quick. XD
at least not from what i learned doing art for a few years.
you just have to get something out of it. And i am by far no means..quick at all...
*takes months to finish a single piece*

It's another book from the collection i am slowly getting.
I'm planning to get the entire morpho set.
my dad bought me the hands and feet one so next month I'll buy the simplified shapes one
since it's something i struggle with.

@Wildfire: i tend to go over the top with studies so i try to make them into finished paintings since it can teach you a lot and im very lost at art lately lol

tho made me realize i really need to work on my drawing skills.
i may end up buying my second art book after all. maybe as a birthday gift lol
Moody Says. . .

▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅

@Wildfire: yeah and am just not an outdoor person for that reason.
and often had gotten made fun of i was not "athletic" due to i have some breathing issues.

haha yeah. I might try a new approach for it. Like start with shapes instead of lineart.
but then i'm going to do a different study until i can return to that one.
but it made me realize i really need to do more studies even if it's just sketching lol so i at least got something out of it.
Moody Says. . .

@Wildfire: it was mostly the fact it was like a camp-like thing i went to
and...i hated every second of it. didn't have fun at all and just wanted to go home lol.

im okay, deciding if i should scrap or continue a study im working on
which came out terrible and making me have identity crisis with my art
