Allen had made one mistake, he had trusted the other male to honor his request. After he had slipped out, Zero had silently slipped inside the front door and hid himself from Kaneko's sight. He couldn't reason with someone who didn't trust anyone, so he'd try the girl. He couldn't smell any hunters, so he wasn't really worried about Allen.

He knew however, Allen would return shortly so he didn't have much time.

Kaito coughed some into the mask once he was back at the house and hooked up to the oxygen mask. So, whatever Fijore was giving him had only suppressed it.. Is that what he meant? "How?" He asked, noticing the worry on his adorable face, and it made it feel bad for not noticing something was wrong with himself. "This isn't so bad.. I'll be alright." Kaito said quietly, lowering his gaze.

"Who knows.." Gaito murmured to his question. He glanced at his brother as he stood with the good doctor's help. "I will be back. Just hang in there okay?" He said.

Kaito smirked. "Don't worry so much." He murmured, holding Fijore's hand. He knew he would be alright until the other returned, Fijore would see to it.

Gaito nodded some then took flight.

Kaito watched his brother like a hawk as the male approached, and knelt before him. Gaito slowly raised a hand and placed it on Kaito's chest as he faintly listened to his breathing, feeling if he was wheezing at all. He could feel an elevated heart rate, and raspy breathing. "You been on anything to help your breathing?" He asked, and Kaito nodded.

"Woke up wearing and oxygen mask.. I stopped breathing last night, woke up unable to breathe in my own without choking on pain." He murmured. "Sounds like an infection. You need to get home and back on that oxygen before you shut down again." Gaito said, then glanced at Fijore. "I can get the antidote, but I'll need a few days. It's not just an ordinary infection, it's a specific infection like virus, airborn. He could've gotten it flying around." He explained.

Kaito glanced at his brother briefly, taking a slow breath. "I don't know.." He murmured. "Hey, how much do you know about us? Our kind?" He asked the slightly older male.

Gaito slowly approached them. "May I take a look at him?" He asked Fijore, knowing how protective he was.

Kaito sat down and smirked lightly. "I'm not going to die that easily." He murmured quietly. "Let me sit here a moment." He murmured.

Soon, the older male was landing from a flight nearby, keeping a safe distance from the pair.

Kaito chuckled and followed Fijore as they began walking again, gently holding his hand.

After a few more minutes or walking he paused and coughed into his arm roughly, causing his chest to tighten and found it hard to steady his breathing afterwards.

Kaito felt his cheeks heat and he gently kissed the top of his head, hoping it wouldn't scare him off. "I'm not going anywhere, unless you want me to." He promised softly.

Kaito smiled a bit more as he held his hand. "Don't stress, we don't need labels Fi.." He said calmly. "The only thing that matters is what we have. If it turns into more, just.. go with it." He murmured quietly, feeling his chest begin to tighten slightly.

Kaito slowly inhaled the fresh air, allowing his wings to stretch while he was out, breifly. He made sure not to hit Fijore while he did so, then folded his wings back. Kaito blinked and glanced at him when he spoke, a small smile coming to his lips. "We can be whatever you want us to be, we're taking this slow remember?" He said, holding out his hand to the other. "You are in control of what direction we're moving in." He said with a smile, offering to hold hands.

Kaito blinked and glanced at Fijore, nodding. "Finally." He semi-joked with a small smirk. He carefully removed the nose piece and slowly got up from the bed to join him.

Early the next morning, with how early he went to bed, Allen slowly woke. He smiled lazily at feeling Kaneko's warmth next to him and he gently kissed the top of her head. He felt better. He wasn't burning up or feeling like someone tied a weight around him, not at the moment anyway. He was hungry though. So, he slowly slid out of the bed, careful not to wake Kaneko. He slowly and silently found a shirt after listening to Kaneko get him one from the closet enough times, then made his way to the living room and quietly opened the door to go outside.

He quietly closed the door behind himself, the cool winter breeze feeling good against his clothes and face. Maybe he still had a fever after all? He couldn't tell. Allen caught the scent of a rabbit and followed it.

Kaito nodded lightly and watched him briefly, then looked up at the ceiling. Hopefully he wouldn't cause more trouble for himself or Fijore.. Now for the real question, how was he going to meet him? He'd have to probably go outside and look for him. Neither of them had a phone. If they did, he could use the phonebook.

Kaito hesitated to answer that. What was worse, being uncomfortable about talking someone you weren't sure of.. Or being sick without knowing what was making you sick? He weighed his options, not really liking either choice, then he sighed some and glanced at Fijore. "If it means getting some answers, I'd rather deal with it and meet with him." He answered honestly.
