Ah true, but it's an accounting class and I'm crying on the inside.
Ps: Love your avatar.

Pain killers? D:
Are you sick?

I'm alright. Well...pretty bored admittedly but mostly freaking out because of school starting up in a few days for me. Sure it's just one day a week..but still. D:

@xnovax: (Well college starts in less than a week so that's freaking me out. ; u ; )

Allen said he was alright and Kaneko had to believe him. If something was wrong then he would certainly tell her about it. So get to the bank. Withdraw as much as you can. Clean out the rest later. Go get Allen a few outfits of clothes. Visit his manor before leaving. Call a taxi. When at new destination, get rid of your phone. Kaneko repeated over and over in her head.

Kaneko held on to Allen's hand gently while they walked towards the bank a few blocks down. If her father had left her the car, this would be a lot easier. Maybe it was for the best though, that way she had nothing connecting her to her father. It was in newspapers about his crime in assaulting another male. Of course, there were no pictures thankfully but that was another reason she needed to leave. "The bank is just a few blocks away, but we'll get there easily. We can enjoy the warmth from the sun in the meantime." Kaneko informed to Allen with a cheerful laugh that sounded very genuine. Like she was genuinely happy.

"Yes, well I can imagine that a bed is much comfier than the streets." She had a migraine, he had pills for that which he'd gladly bring to her. Before he could get up to leave however, she started to tell him her story. Clint sat on the edge of the bed and listened to her the way any good friend would. She had such a troubled past and never once did she get any form of help it seemed. Instead she ran away and this is where she was now because of that choice. "Oh Maddie.." Clint sighed and shook his head. "I'm very sorry you had to live through that. I can't imagine why any parent would do such a thing. I'm not sure I would have run away, but that does sound like it was your only way out." He explained and politely smiled at her. "Hey now, it's not their fault they were better at kicking the ball than I was." He commented. "Now, now Maddie, don't cry. It's okay. It's in the past, and none of that makes you a bad person for doing what you did. You ran away because that was your only option. Maybe you had no one else to turn to that would understand you. Shame really...had I known I would have asked my parents to take you in. You would have been safe at home with us. But...well you're here now and that's what matters right?" He asked, running his fingers through his hair.

"Acting tough is never easy, but there is nothing wrong with trying to be strong in your weakest moments. It shows great character, I think so anyway. Being strong is the reason you're still here. You're alive, you've survived so much because of it. You've gone through something that I don't think any child should ever have to go through. You were tough from the very beginning though." He said and left only to come back with some warm tea and some pills. "Here, these are for your migraine. They should help. Are you hungry?" He asked. She needed to eat something eventually. Especially after taking any sort of medicine.

@xnovax: (Sorry, sorry. I've been preoccupied with stuff at home and dealing with anxiety.)

Allen wanted to carry something? Well he could carry his things since she was afraid she might misplace them. So she handed him the small bag with his things required for his remedies. "I'm sorry for all the noise." She told him quietly. Looking around, she smiled warmly. She would miss this place even though the shifts were long and left her exhausted. Already she could tell people were looking their way, it wasn't their fault for being curious. They just had never seen Allen around here before. The woman returned after quite some time, holding out a check for Kaneko. "Thanks." Kaneko said softly. "Well you deserve it and more. I'm sorry you're leaving though, you'll be missed." The woman said then looked at Allen. "Take good care of her for me, okay?" She asked him with a chuckle.

"Well then, I won't keep you here longer than you have to be. I'm sure you're running on a timer and I wouldn't want to make you late for anything." the woman said. She would miss having Kaneko around but she wasn't going to force her to stay either. "Y-yeah..I need to go now, I have much to do. Have to go settle down at my new place and well...unpack and stuff. Busy day." Kaneko answered with a smile. "Sounds exciting. Have fun!" The woman answered. Kaneko chuckled and nodded then led Allen out of there. She hoped he wasn't uncomfortable from all of that.

Allen wanted to accompany her, even saying please. He must have really been worried for her safety. It was good though, she'd be worried the entire time if she left him alone in her house. "Okay Allen, you can come with me and when I'm all done with what I must do we will go visit your manor one last time. I promise." It would also serve as a way for him to grab any clothes he wanted to bring with him.

"Come along then Allen." Kaneko made sure to grab her purse and then looked at their things. They might as well take their things with them since they weren't going to return. With her free hand, she picked up their things, grabbed her purse and the house keys. Walking to the front door she looked around, making sure she wasn't forgetting anything. This was the last time she would see this house. Kaneko walked out of the house with Allen out into the bright and warm sun.

The keys were placed under the mat after the door had been locked and closed. "Let's go." Her voice was soft as she led them away from the house and towards her workplace which was slightly busy when she arrived. She hoped that Allen would be fine with the noise. "Ah Kaneko, you're here for your check right?" A woman asked. Kaneko smiled and nodded. The woman noticed the things and Allen and gave Kaneko a questioning look. "Who's your friend? Going somewhere?" Kaneko looked at Allen then at the woman. "I'm just moving out and I wanted to have my friend move in with me is all." she answered quickly. The woman only nodded and left to get the check.

The Sacrament Of Sin (full album) by Powerwolf

That morning, Clint snuck into Maddie's room and replaced the rag with a fresh one then left to let her continue sleeping. He busied himself with making breakfast and called his work to inform the boss that he wouldn't be able to make it today. "Something came up. It's personal but I'll be there tomorrow for sure." Clint didn't like missing a work day, that was one less pay day. Money was important, needed to pay for bills and other things. He wasn't rich like other people around.

He had enjoyed his breakfast and around lunch time, went to check in on Maddie again. "Oh, you're awake now. How'd you sleep?" Clint asked her. Approaching her, he rested his hand on her forehead and sighed. "Well it's gone down quite a bit but it's still lingering there. This is quite a serious fever but you'll be better in no time. "How are you feeling, have any pain anywhere?" He asked her quietly. Friends or strangers, he was going to look out for her. "I don't have work today, so I'm all ears if you want to talk."

Kaneko nodded, no credit cards. Okay that sounded easy enough. Anything they needed, she'd just have to pay with actual paper money. "Okay then, I'll do that." When he mentioned getting a new phone, her dark eyes widened. "I hadn't even thought about getting a new phone. Great idea, thank you Allen." She told him. Getting a new phone could wait, first she had to get the money and then buy Allen a few pieces of clothes. "I need to go pick up my last check from work and cash it in. "Would you like to accompany me? Or will you be alright waiting until I return?" She asked him. It shouldn't take much time, she'd be in and out. The bank might take more time if there was a line. If not then she'd be in and out quickly too.

"After the bank visit, I'll get you some clothes then come back so that we can leave. I'll also call and cancel my phone service before we leave. I can always get a new phone when we arrive at our destination." Wherever that might be. Her father hadn't even called her yet, he probably called a friend instead. Perhaps Allen was still being hunted and they didn't even know it.

A way to help. Surely there had to be a way that Allen could help out with this situation. Kaneko was silent as she thought long and hard about this. "Allen, I'll need you to trust me and just go along with what I say. You see, I'm afraid using my credit card might tell people where we are and I don't what that. So my plan is to put my card under a different name. That way maybe my father and his friends won't know it's us." She explained, hoping he understood what she was trying to do. "I could just carry cash around though, that would be much harder to trace but I'd still need to go to the bank and make a withdrawal. What do you think I should do?" She asked him. His advice would be helpful.

Maybe if she withdrew money, she could only take out a small sum. Just enough to buy Allen some new clothes. What kind of clothes did he like though? The clothes he had been wearing looked to be comfortable, maybe she should stick to that theme. Of course she was going to get him the best clothing she could buy.

Maddie was out like a light, and Clint didn't want to disturb her. Hopefully she'd feel better the next day. To keep himself busy, Clint put away her leftovers then washed the dishes and then went back to finishing up folding the laundry. Anything really to kill time since he wasn't exactly tired. Every so often, he'd go check on Maddie to make sure she was fine. She still felt warm but at least she wasn't shivering anymore. So many questions, she was a mysterious girl but she had told him that he used to talk to her back when they were much younger. Had they been friends before? Was that why he was helping her subconsciously? Because he knew who she was?

As it got later, the laundry was folded and put away. Doors were locked, lights were turned off and Maddie was carried off to the guest bedroom where she was laid in bed and tucked in. The wet rag was placed on her forehead after more rubbing alcohol had been rubbed on her forehead. "Sleep well Maddie." Clint closed her door behind him and headed to his own room then to get some needed sleep.
