"You'll probably get used to it eventually. It was your first time out in a public place like that." Clint said to her, closing the door and walking around to his door. He set the bags down on the back seat then hopped on and buckled up. Closing his door, Clint started the ignition and backed out of there to head back home. He heard her mention dinner and nodded. "I'll make us some dinner when we get home. Unless you want to stop somewhere for dinner instead?" He teased and looked at her but could tell she wasn't having it. "I'm just teasing, don't worry. We'll get home, have some dinner and then I'm going to look through my books to lend you a few." He promised. What would be a good dinner idea? He wasn't picky and he liked to think that she wasn't either.

@Saeyra: Rice is amazing!
We love red rice and white rice. We don't eat it much though and right now, it doesn't sound too appetizing. D:
We are hungry though so we might try some soup in a bit. Something warm sounds like a good idea.

Kaneko was asleep for half an hour before she slowly woke back up. Turning to face Allen, she saw he was sleeping now. She smiled. He needed his rest. Resting was the only way anyone would ever get better. While he was sleeping, she figured she'd use this time to gather some books and get ready to leave. After he woke up of course. Carefully, she slipped out of bed and yawned quietly. Her wrist hurt a little, nothing she couldn't handle though. The puncture marks were there, they were small though; she thought no one would even really notice them unless they looked close enough. Yawning softly, Kaneko tip toed her way out of his bedroom and walked to the study to pick up a few books. Which ones to get? Kaneko entered the dusty study and walked to the bookshelf. She picked up one of the many books and blew the dust off the cover then opened it up to a random page and began to read quietly to herself. Blood Root flowers can be spotted for their bright blood red color. The root itself has magical properties if boiled at the right temperature. The petals add color to the water, making it seem like blood. "Okay great, but where do you find it?" She asked herself, reading a little more, trying to figure out where one could find it. If they could find it, they could plant it and then Allen wouldn't have to go very far to get it whenever he needed it.

"Well...you survived." Clint spoke up, unlocking her door and opening it for her. Maddie had survived a day at the grocery store. Didn't sound so scary really, but it was an uncomfortable experience for the two of them. Maybe over time it wouldn't be so awkward. What mattered was that it had been done and now they could go home and just take it easy. He could hand over some books for her to read while he wasn't around. Or just for whenever she wanted to be alone. "And thankfully we didn't run into anyone, so that's also good." Clint pointed out, trying to keep a positive mindset. "That was everything right? Anywhere else we need to go?"

Kaneko was already fast asleep not too long after he spoke. She was very tired, maybe some rest was really what she needed and it helped her sleep easier knowing that he was probably feeling a little better. There was still so much to do. Where would they stay? An inn? For how long? They would need to rent an apartment at some point, but maybe that wouldn't be safe. What if the neighbors somehow found out about Allen? A house was expensive though. She wished she had the car, but her father had taken it with him and who knows where he had left it. Wouldn't work anyway since she never had the keys.

Kaneko watched him and smiled weakly. He was fine. Good. What about her? "Just lightheaded. But...that's okay and it's normal whenever there's blood loss. You were right though..it didn't hurt." She told him, closing her eyes and turning her head to face the ceiling. "At least you're okay. I'll just get some books and then we can go. But maybe I'll take a little nap first." She was tired, probably a side effect from being bitten. She didn't know, but she didn't mind. A short nap wouldn't hurt anyone and once she was rested, then they could get their things and leave.

At least the cashier was female. Maybe it would make buying all this stuff less awkward. Thankfully there were no questions asked. Perhaps a look was given but Clint didn't return it. He only slipped the card along the reader to pay the total. It wasn't too much money so that was good. "Thanks." He muttered, taking the receipt and the bags, he motioned for Maddie to follow him out of there. Out into the fresh air where they could finally breathe.

@Saeyra: Gummi worms are good.
We prefer DOTS. That is a good candy.
Oh, and cookies and cream chocolate.

Well this was very embarrassing for him. He could only imagine how Maddie felt though. Having a guy with her while she looked through the brands and sizes of the bags. His eyes momentarily flitted across the various different names of the brands before he tore his gaze away for respect to her privacy. Instead, he focused on the laminate flooring that the store was sporting. Hideous, but it was clean at least. Clint looked back at her and noticed she was done. "Let's go. I know you don't want to be here any longer than we already have. We'll pay, and then we'll go home and you can just...you know...relax. The hard part has already been done." Clint told her, walking off to the checkout, glancing over his shoulder to make sure that Maddie was following him. This was something he wasn't sure he'd ever get used to doing. Shopping alone was easy, shopping with a girl was strange.

It wasn't difficult to see that this was all difficult for Maddie. Difficult, annoying, tiresome. Shopping was annoying no matter who you were. Unless you actually liked it. "Alright, one more thing off the list. What's next?" Clint asked, unaware of what she was going to tell him. When he heard what they were looking for, he blushed and averted his gaze. "O-oh...right...that." He started, rocking back and forth on his heels. This wasn't awkward at all. Except, it was super awkward. At least this was the last thing before they headed back home. "Saved the best for last huh?" He joked, trying to lighten the mood and failing miserably. "Come on, they're probably over here somewhere." He said, motioning towards the next isle. They were almost at the end of the store so they had to be nearby right?
Posted in Blood in Roses Posted 6 years ago
Her eyes opened momentarily, her vision blurred. Probably due to the blood loss. How much time had passed? A few minutes? Certainly not hours, but he was still feeding, she felt light headed. This was to be expected though, and he needed this. He needed to feed, she couldn't just let him tough it out. Vampire or not, no one deserved to go hungry or go thirsty. Kaneko blinked her eyes many times in an attempt to focus again but her vision was still blurred no matter how wide she opened her eyes. Then, he stopped and she leaned back against the bed's headboard. Relaxing her tired body. Her head turned to look at him, she could hear his breathing was hard. Was something wrong? "A-allen? Is everything okay?" She asked him, scooting closer.

Deodorant, where would that be? He looked around, wondering if it was here or in the last isle they were just in. As much as splitting up would help in this situation, he was too paranoid to ask for it. "Hmm, doesn't seem to be here. Was probably in the previous isle. We just didn't see it because we weren't looking for that at that moment. Come on, let's go back and check. It has to be there. If we see razors then the deodorant should be nearby since they go hand in hand." Clint explained to her, his eyes still searching the shelves of this current isle in case he had just missed it probably. "Ah no, here we go! It's right here. All the feminine ones anyway." He motioned for her to follow him to a section of the isle where the different feminine deodorants were located.
