I suck at riddles but here are my guesses.
You throw the ball at the wall so that it bounces back towards you. You grab the bat and swing. Three strikes you're out.
A butterfly landed on the real flower?
Is it maybe Money?
Is it maybe H2O?
I honestly have no idea with this one.
I honestly have no idea with this one.
The answer is Eye.

@kiwi: We are still kinda sick. I mean kinda because I literally hate everything I eat.
I had a beef and broccoli taco yesterday and gagged. D: I love beef and broccoli tacos though!
So I'm kinda light headed right now and nauseous. Aside from that, we are good. :D
How are you?

Man, Clint was really missing out on important information. He was going to have to start paying closer attention to the information out there. Especially now if he really wanted to help Maddie out with this situation. He seemed to relax a bit when she said she was fine with just reading a good book. Good, he could easily buy her some or lend her some of his own books. "W-well...what kinds of books do you enjoy reading?" He asked. Clothes were a big thing. Clothes and feminine products. Oh boy, that was going to be a fun trip wasn't it? No. Embarrassing more like. But for Maddie, he'd suck it up and get her things. Even if it meant going to Victoria's Secret her her undergarments. Shite. Nope..I can't do that. I'd look like a freakin' creep looking at that stuff. She'd have to come with me for all that. Yes, but what if someone saw her? "Clothes are going to be tricky. Only you know your uhh...sizes in everything. And umm...I think it would be best if you just came with me to get you some clothes and all that other stuff you girls use. You can umm...wear like my clothes as a disguise I guess. And some sunglasses. You know, the classic." He grinned once he said that. Maybe it actually would be pretty fun now if they actually did that.

Kaneko smiled at his comment. "Thank-you. I try my best." She should have gone on to medical school and become an actual doctor, but her father.. Her life growing up was okay. She couldn't say it was terrible. She had been spoiled rotten and moreso after her mother left. Instead of going to medical school, she just went to get a regular job. Nothing fancy. Straight out of high school and into a waitress job. It was a good job, the tips were really what made the difference of a good day and a bad day. "I'll see if I can find you a clean shirt and I'll pack up your clothes as well. Your job will be to lay down and get some much needed rest. We can leave tomorrow if you don't want to stay here too long. Or later today. I prefer leaving tomorrow though. It would give you a chance to take it easy."
He was being too sweet, he had nothing to apologize for. What had happened was not his fault. He was the victim, not the culprit. Her hand gently caressed Allen's cool cheek, the warmth of her hand passing on to his cheek. "Allen, this was not your fault. You shouldn't apologize. You didn't do any of this on purpose. It was all that man's fault." She blushed when he kissed her hand. "He's gone and you're okay. I'm okay. We are okay and we are going to start a life of our own where hopefully no one can find us and bother us again. That sounds nice doesn't it?" Kaneko leaned over and placed a soft kiss on his cheek. "You too are very precious to me, Allen." She whispered quietly.

Insanity Plea... Ah yes, this was sadly true. "Don't they have to go through a few tests though in order to see if they really are insane? And wouldn't they be sent away to an asylum if that were the case?" Yeah, Clint wasn't very smart. He knew some things, but when it came to the court system, he was pretty clueless. Clint was getting the sense that she still wasn't too convinced about what he was saying. That was okay. Like he had assumed, trust would be gained overtime. So this was to be expected. "Well, for the time being, you're just going to have to chill out here. Make yourself comfortable. I apologize if it's boring here but umm..if you ever want anything you just need to tell me and I'll get it for you. If you like games, I have video games you can play to keep yourself entertained. I know it's what I would do. Or read a book...or something." He really wanted her to feel welcome here in his house and he wanted her to be comfortable since she would be staying here for a long while.

"Sorry, sorry.." Kaneko whispered, glancing upwards at Allen. He seemed so calm and collected despite what had happened. Maybe they could talk a bit to distract themselves from the events that took place outside. "You're a very good patient Allen." She said and smiled slightly. "Once I am done with this, I will step outside to retrieve your things alright? And you will wait right here until I get back. Then maybe I'll have you get some rest before we even think about going anywhere. Your health is my priority." Kaneko commented honestly. The blood was all cleaned up, and then the damp cloth was set on her thigh while her purse was opened. She rummaged through her things until she pulled out some hair tweezers. These would hopefully come in handy when re-tying the loose ends of the strings. This would probably hurt too. Probably. She used the tweezers to carefully grab on to a strand and gently pulled it, then the other, and she tied the ends together making a nice little knot. She did this to every stitch, it was a slow process but it would be worth it. Once they got to the new place, they could go to a hospital and get them properly fixed but this would have to do for now. "I'll have to buy a first aid kit when we arrive at our new....home." She said nervously. When she was done, Kaneko took the gauze and began to patch up the wound again. "There we go. Good as new. It's...it's not perfect but well...I did the best with what I had." She offered a weak smile then sighed. "I'm sorry f-for what happened Allen but I'm just glad you're okay. That you're safe from that man now." Kaneko said to him.

"Ohh okay, hmm that's still pretty cool though. And your mother was right. It is a gift Mads. I know with everything you've been through, it probably doesn't seem like it huh?" Clint fell silent, deep in thought. Where did they go from here? "I can't make you change your mind Maddie. You have your reasons for seeing this the way you do. That being said... these people who are after you...they can't chase you forever. At some point they're going to have to give up Maddie. I know that sounds like it's never going to happen, but they're people and I like to think that they have other things to do in their lives. They can't devote all their time to chasing you. And if one of them does get here, we can have them arrested for stalking you. I think so anyway. Can people get arrested for stalking? I'm not sure." He muttered to himself and shook his head. "I'm rambling, sorry. Look, what I'm trying to say is that we'll figure this out together. One way or another. This is going to have to end at some point."

Okay well this could prove to be a big problem. Unless she ran all the way home and back. No, what if there were other vampires out there looking for her? What if they wanted to kill her or turn her into one of them? Kaneko shuddered at the thought. "The stitches..." She said quietly. "I'll be right back." She stood up and quickly ran up the old stairs to the study that acted as his bedroom as well. She remembered when she first was allowed into his home. Parts of the house were off limits, she still knew that. The study was just as he had last left it. Filled with all sorts of things. Things that he would probably need in the future. But first, the gauze. Her eyes darted around every little nook and cranny until she located it. Her hand grasped at it and she ran back downstairs to where Allen remained waiting. The stitched had to be redone, but she could probably just tie the ends of the strings together for a temporary fix. It was all she could do right now. She had no needle and thread of her own. "Okay...umm..." She tore off a bit of her shirt and walked to the kitchen sink. She turned the knob and wasn't surprised when hardly any water came out. What little water had wet the cloth, would have to do. Kaneko turned the knob back, shutting the water off and walked to Allen. "I apologize if it hurts." She told him as she knelt before him and carefully dabbed the wet cloth onto the bloody wound, carefully cleaning off the blood.

Clint looked her way, hearing her say his name. She was thanking him? He didn't help her in hopes of being thanked or getting anything in return, but it was always nice to hear someone thank you for something no matter how small it was. "Maddie..you don't have to tell me anything if you're not comfortable telling me. It's not going to change the fact that I'm going to try to help you in any way I can." Did she really think he'd just ask her to leave? What kind of guy did she think he was? No. He was not upset or offended, because he could understand. She didn't fully trust him and that was okay, it was smart not to trust someone right away. You had to watch them carefully. Trust was something you earned over time. Not over night. "Go ahead and tell me what you want to. I promise I will listen and I won't kick you out. My house, is your house too. What's mine, is yours."
And so he listened. Clint listened to the explanation given to him by Maddie about these strange people. A cult?! Those things still existed? He had heard of them yeah, but Clint never imagined that it was an actual real life thing. Aurelie... He wondered if anything came up if he searched for that name. Perhaps looking her up wasn't a bright idea. What if that lady found out somehow and like...cursed him or something? Relax Clint. No one is going to curse you. You're overreacting. This was probably true. "Okay hold on. Let me get this straight. You do palm readings, and because of that, you've been labeled as a witch by this Aurelie person and so her twisted followers are tracking you down to kill you?" He asked her, taking a seat across from her. "Jeez, sounds like my auntie. She believes all those gypsy ladies and fortune tellers are the devil's work. It's why I don't talk to her. about that stuff anymore. Hey Mads, don't think of it as a curse. It's a gift. Not everyone can read palms or tarot cards. It takes a special kind of person to be able to do that stuff." Clint frowned, she was abused growing up? Well Shite.. he thought to himself.

Kaneko didn't dare step on the clothes laying on the ground. The thought alone was frightening. She only walked with Allen in silence, quietly thanking him for holding the door for her then stepped inside. "We can grab some clothes for you here a-and then walk to the park where I can call a cab." She said quietly. That was her plan, until she saw Allen that is. He was bleeding! "The cab can wait. Umm...h-here why don't you have a seat first." She suggested and pulled up a single wooden chair then helped him sit down. Kaneko quickly shut the front door and frowned. "Do you have any medical supplies here?" She asked him. It didn't really matter though, she just needed to stop the bleeding. "I'm going to take a look at the wound now, please remain still." Kaneko suggested quietly and carefully unbuttoned his shirt so that she could see how serious it was. It was very serious.

There was no sound, no scream. No signs of a struggle like she thought there would be. Slowly, she looked back down and let out a gasp. She had killed him! He was gone, only his clothes remained there on the ground. Her trembling hands dropped the branch onto the ground, she had done it. She had killed someone in order to protect Allen. She never thought she would ever kill a person for someone she cared about. She momentarily thought if this was what her father did when he was away from home.
Hot tears of fear threatened to spill down her cheeks but she held them back. She had to keep herself calm or else she would probably scream and she didn't need anyone coming to check what was the matter. Although she doubted anyone knew about this place. Allen's voice calmed her a little, the feeling of his hand on top of hers was so familiar, it slowed her breathing and helped her remain calm when she would normally be panicking. "It's...it's okay. He's gone now. He's never going to hurt you again Allen. Now....l-let's get you inside so we can grab some clothes before calling a cab." She replied, her voice just a tremble away from making her calm demeanor crumble away to show how truly scared she was. Her eyes were on the older man's clothes the entire time she spoke, then they looked towards Allen. "You're s-safe now."
