@Saeyra: Very smart.
stares at candy bag
We want to eat our candy already but we sort of want to save it for tomorrow just so that we have more candy to eat.
Hopefully someone gives us chocolate tomorrow when we trick or treat. Hopefully no Almond Joys because there is nothing joyful about those. D:

Kaneko had to really search every nook and cranny of the house that she had been exposed to for some boxes to put these books away. Hmm, they really were going to need a cab to be able to take all this stuff with them. Setting the boxes down near their things, Kaneko dusted herself off and looked at Allen. "Sir Allen, are you awake?" She asked, walking around and sitting on her section of the bed. Her hand reached out and lightly brushed his hair away from his face. "I may have gathered more books than I had planned but...but in my defense, I wasn't sure which would be helpful so I sort of just umm...grabbed them all." She smiled nervously and stretched out happily. "We're all packed up though. We can leave whenever you're ready." She said to him.
Kaneko tilted her head to the side, watching Allen closely. He looked like he was still sleeping and she didn't want to disturb him but she had heard movement before. Maybe it was just him getting comfortable. She tended to move in her sleep sometimes so she wouldn't be surprised if Allen was the same way. "I umm...I read a bit on blood root flowers but I don't think we'll be getting them any time soon. Shame really. I would have enjoyed having them in our garden. I know having them would have been very helpful to you. B-but it's okay because you'll be all better in no time a-and then you can go hunting like you normally do." Kaneko informed quietly, tucking some hair behind her ear.

The ride home was quiet. The only sounds were those of the cars passing them by. Glancing up at the sky, it looked cloudy off in the distance. Perhaps it would rain soon, that would be nice. It didn't always rain here but it wasn't rare either. As they drove, Clint kept his eyes focused on the road ahead of him. A few minutes of being on the road, they arrived at his place once again. He parked on the driveway and killed the engine then stepped out, grabbed the bags from the back seat and went around to open her door for her. "Come on mads, let's get some dinner in us." He suggested. His voice was quiet, his eyes glanced around to see if anyone was watching them.

"In the mountains?" Kaneko whined. Well there was no way they'd be getting that now. They couldn't possibly go to the mountains, they'd need to find a ride there and a ride back. Hiking would just take too long. Well at least she had tried, and it was fine because Allen normally hunted anyway so he didn't really need the flower. Kaneko pouted a bit and closed the book. She would be taking that one for sure. She set it down on the desk and looked at the books again, her dark eyes skimming the titles. All of which were unfamiliar to her, but anything with herbs it it was pulled off the shelf. Anything with remedies, astrology, stories. Would Allen like the idea of her reading to him sometimes? No...he was not a child and she wasn't going to treat him like one. The astrology one just sounded interesting and she always liked looking at the stars. It was how she and Allen had first met. The stories book...well, she would read it herself eventually.
The books were stacked neatly in a pile and carried off towards his bedroom once more. She would have to find a place for them since maybe she had picked up a little more than she thought she would. But it was okay. These were antiques! All of the things she could probably learn reading them! Maybe she would learn more about the house, more about the people who lived there before Allen and the older man. Maybe she could even learn more about them. She didn't know but the possibilities were endless. Boxes, she could use small empty boxes to put the books away.

@Saeyra: Really? How interesting. :)
Oh, they're still bad. Very bad. But not as bad as yesterday. We were in tears last night.
Today they're a little more far apart if that makes sense.

"You'll probably get used to it eventually. It was your first time out in a public place like that." Clint said to her, closing the door and walking around to his door. He set the bags down on the back seat then hopped on and buckled up. Closing his door, Clint started the ignition and backed out of there to head back home. He heard her mention dinner and nodded. "I'll make us some dinner when we get home. Unless you want to stop somewhere for dinner instead?" He teased and looked at her but could tell she wasn't having it. "I'm just teasing, don't worry. We'll get home, have some dinner and then I'm going to look through my books to lend you a few." He promised. What would be a good dinner idea? He wasn't picky and he liked to think that she wasn't either.

@Saeyra: Rice is amazing!
We love red rice and white rice. We don't eat it much though and right now, it doesn't sound too appetizing. D:
We are hungry though so we might try some soup in a bit. Something warm sounds like a good idea.

Kaneko was asleep for half an hour before she slowly woke back up. Turning to face Allen, she saw he was sleeping now. She smiled. He needed his rest. Resting was the only way anyone would ever get better. While he was sleeping, she figured she'd use this time to gather some books and get ready to leave. After he woke up of course. Carefully, she slipped out of bed and yawned quietly. Her wrist hurt a little, nothing she couldn't handle though. The puncture marks were there, they were small though; she thought no one would even really notice them unless they looked close enough. Yawning softly, Kaneko tip toed her way out of his bedroom and walked to the study to pick up a few books. Which ones to get? Kaneko entered the dusty study and walked to the bookshelf. She picked up one of the many books and blew the dust off the cover then opened it up to a random page and began to read quietly to herself. Blood Root flowers can be spotted for their bright blood red color. The root itself has magical properties if boiled at the right temperature. The petals add color to the water, making it seem like blood. "Okay great, but where do you find it?" She asked herself, reading a little more, trying to figure out where one could find it. If they could find it, they could plant it and then Allen wouldn't have to go very far to get it whenever he needed it.

"Well...you survived." Clint spoke up, unlocking her door and opening it for her. Maddie had survived a day at the grocery store. Didn't sound so scary really, but it was an uncomfortable experience for the two of them. Maybe over time it wouldn't be so awkward. What mattered was that it had been done and now they could go home and just take it easy. He could hand over some books for her to read while he wasn't around. Or just for whenever she wanted to be alone. "And thankfully we didn't run into anyone, so that's also good." Clint pointed out, trying to keep a positive mindset. "That was everything right? Anywhere else we need to go?"

Kaneko was already fast asleep not too long after he spoke. She was very tired, maybe some rest was really what she needed and it helped her sleep easier knowing that he was probably feeling a little better. There was still so much to do. Where would they stay? An inn? For how long? They would need to rent an apartment at some point, but maybe that wouldn't be safe. What if the neighbors somehow found out about Allen? A house was expensive though. She wished she had the car, but her father had taken it with him and who knows where he had left it. Wouldn't work anyway since she never had the keys.

Kaneko watched him and smiled weakly. He was fine. Good. What about her? "Just lightheaded. But...that's okay and it's normal whenever there's blood loss. You were right though..it didn't hurt." She told him, closing her eyes and turning her head to face the ceiling. "At least you're okay. I'll just get some books and then we can go. But maybe I'll take a little nap first." She was tired, probably a side effect from being bitten. She didn't know, but she didn't mind. A short nap wouldn't hurt anyone and once she was rested, then they could get their things and leave.
