Adym seemed to be... almost stunned for a moment.

"You honour us with your words and praise." he said.

"Thank you." he responded, bowing to him.

"I can only hope and pray the renewal is swift." he continued.

"And... two things for us?" he asked.

"What are they?" he asked further.

He was also wondering who the 'old friend' was, but he would ask that later.

The reached the place where the Prefect resided in due time, and the one that escorted them there stepped inside, telling them to wait for a moment. About 30 seconds later, they stepped back outside.

"The Prefect will see you now." they told them.

Adym nodded slowly, before looking at Callie.

"Here we go." he said quietly.

The two of them then entered, and Callie saw that the place was decorated with many things that evoked a love of the planet, and nature. Plants and flowers were everywhere, the colours in the place were earthy and natural, it truly was almost like stepping into the forest once more.

"Um... excuse me?" Adym said into the place.

"We... we were summoned here?"

"I don't know, either." Adym admitted.

"It could be good, it could be bad. I just... I don't know." he said.

"And it's only proper etiquette to not ask for any more information, from anyone other than then prefect." he added, wondering if that was something that had come back to her or not.

"Regardless, it's... best not to stress about it beforehand." he reasoned.

"All we can do is go along and see what happens." he sighed.

"...though I can say I am pretty sure that we're probably not in any trouble." he added with a slight laugh.

"....hm." Adym muttered.

"Fashion one?" he asked.

"I think I can do that, yeah." he said.

He then put his hand on the floor and concentrated, slowly raising his hand up from the floor. As he did so, several very thin trees grew from the spot, and started to twist around each other in a spiral fashion, curving down into a ball-shape at the top.

"There." he commented, removing the stick from the floor.

"Will that do?" he asked her, handing it over.

"Good." Ryker responded.

"Makes this quicker." he said.

As they walked, Ryker placed a hand on Eke's shoulder.

"Hey." he said to him.

"Not to make this sound ominous, or put up red flags, but thanks." he said further.

"Thanks for helping me find my will to live."

Adym was stunned for a moment.

"Ah... y-yes, of course." he responded.

"I'll get her immediately." he told them.

He then quickly went back into the house, and towards Callie.

"We need to go." he said.

"Prefect Mervyn himself has summoned us." he told her.

"He's the head of the entire city, the one most respected by all... we shouldn't keep him waiting." he continued.

"That, and it seems he has some information from us." he then added.

".....guess so." Adym mumbled.

He then made his way to the door and opened it, revealing an elf from his home.

"Ah." he said.

"Yes?" he addressed them.

"How can I help you?" he asked.

"And yes, Callie IS still here." he added, in case that was what they were visiting him about.

Adym shook his head.

"No." he replied.

"This world and the other world are connected." he told her.

"Essentially, they're close enough that a crux's influence can still be felt in this world, if they're in the other one." he continued.

"But, in theory, if there are other realms out there... ones further away... it could mess with things here, yes." he then admitted.

"Just not... the Earth realm." he finished.

"....if that makes sense." he added at the end.

"Well, just the one, so far." Adym responded.

"On our way to the forest, you wore your quiver on your back." he said.

"Ever since we met our impromptu guide at that cabin, you've been wearing it at your waist." he told her.

"It's a sign of respect and honour amongst us wood elves." he continued.

"And I don't see you changing that suddenly for no reason." he then added.

Adym just smiled.

"Glad you like it." he said.

"Should give you some energy as well." he commented.

"...also, I've noticed something." he then said further.

"I think the lock on your memories is cracking." he told her.

"You've been understanding and speaking the elven language... and you're aware of some of our customs." he went on.

"When I haven't outright said anything about that."

"....refreshing..." Adym mumbled.

"I'll bet I can make up something." he told her.

"Something nice and citrusy." he went on.

"One moment." he said, disappearing from the room.

About 5 minutes later, he returned with a pitcher of what looked to be punch, and a pair of glasses.

"Freshly made." he said with a chuckle.

"Try it." he told her, pouring her a glass and offering it.

Adym just sighed... before it turned into laughter.

Outright laughter.

"Yes, I suppose that WOULD be a harder pill to swallow." he declared, shaking his head slightly.

"Regardless, sorry for dumping that on you." he apologised.

"Anyway, you hungry or thirsty?" he asked.

"I can make something up for you." he offered.

"You feel like anything in specific?" he asked. "I'm sure I can find it, make it up, grow it, or at least the equivalent of what you're used to."

Adym just chuckled in response.

"Yeah..." he muttered.

"What to expect? Not much, actually." he told her.

"Just... don't be SO surprised if people treat you with more respect than anyone else." he said.

He then paused for a moment, thinking about it.

"...of course, that'll just be for the people that know who you are." he muttered.

"Your father did a very good job of making sure you didn't have the 'spoiled' lifestyle." he admitted.

"Look, all I'm saying is that there may come a time when people treat you... well... as royalty. I'm just saying this so it doesn't come as a complete shock." he explained to her.

"We don't need it being public knowledge, spread all around, that your memories have been taken away."

Aly was silent as she watched Eke.

"All right." she replied.

"I'll hold you to that." she told him.

"You just take care of her." Ryker said. "She's helped us for so long, it's time we helped her." he reasoned.

"I agree." Aly said in response.

Ryker then looked at Eke, and cracked his knuckles.

"Let's do this, bro." he said, making his way to the door.
