"......." again, Hal was silent.

He then sighed, and pinched the bridge of his nose.

"No, no." he said.

"Just... stay there." he told her.

He then walked to the doorway, cleared his throat, and poked his head out.

"....LUNET!!!!" he bellowed.

"MY BEDROOM!!! NOW!!!"

"....hello." Hal responded.

'Right then.' he thought.

"I have questions." he told her.

"First one: Who are you?" he asked.

"Second one: WHAT are you?" he asked further.

"And the third one: What are you doing here, in my house, on my bed?" he then asked her.

".........button....?" Hal mumbled.

He then sighed, before hesitantly removing the piece of paper, revealing a small, but noticeable, button.

"..." again, he was silent, before narrowing his eyes.

"I have a suspect in mind for this..." he muttered to himself.

"Perhaps more than one..." he went on.

'But all right, let's humour her.' he then thought, before taking a deep breath, holding it for a moment, and exhaling.

He then gently placed his finger on the button... and pushed it.

Ryker stopped and was silent for a moment, before sighing heavily.

"Very well." he said.

"Destroy the crystal." he repeated.

"Goooot it." he said further.

"So... what do you want me to do in the meantime?" he then asked.

"Hide, or something?"

Leo just sighed heavily.

"For the record, I am ABSOLUTELY unsure about this method of reveal that you've chosen." he said. "Just what to on the record, officially, state that." he clarified.

"...OFF the record..." he then said, trailing off a bit and turning to stifle a laugh.

"Regardless, I am in agreement with you. Cyber-attacks have been on the rise, lately. It's unreal." he lamented. "But, if we've done this right, this should give the Unit a MASSIVE boost in defense against them." he finished.

Sure enough, about 10 minutes later, Hal returned home.

"LUNET, I'M BACK!" he called inside, before shaking his head.

"First things first, to my room to change." he muttered, making his way to his room, and freezing in the doorway. It was dark inside, but enough light shone in to show a figure sitting on the bed.

One he didn't recognise.

"Who are you!?" he demanded.

No answer.

"Answer me!" he commanded.

Again, no answer.

Hal then readied himself, making sure he was on the defensive... before slowing reaching to the lightswitch that was nearby... and flicking it on.

"....all right, I'm done asking questions." Cain replied.

"I'm going to just get a headache." he muttered.

"Just lemme know when you need to stash the evidence." he said.

The call was then ended, and Leo laughed.

"Right then." he said.

"Shall we?" he asked.

"We have plans to draw up."

"......." there was a long bout of silence.

"You know what?" Cain asked.

"Sure." he said.

"I admit, it sounds like you're doing something absolutely HORRIBLE, but... whatever." he went on.

"Wouldn't be much of a boyfriend if I didn't help you hide a body every so often." he reasoned.

"So sure, bring her here whenever. Can't promise her brain'll be intact." he added with a snicker.

Leo just hung back and waited for her to finished the call.

Cain, meanwhile, on the other end, was confused.

"Uh... maybe...?" he muttered.

"Depends." he said.

"Seriously. Depends on what it is." he told her.

"Pretty sure they'd have an issue with weapons and shit." he went on.

"I'll need more info than 'something'..."

Leo was silent for a moment, and thought about it.

"Hmmm." he mumbled.

"I'll get that soon, then." he told her.

"We'll worry about that later." he said.

"In the meantime, let's discuss a more... immediate... concern." he continued.

"As in, WHERE is this going to be stored?" he asked.

"It's going to take months and months of work to even get to a workable state. And something like this isn't easily hideable."

Sure enough, about 30 seconds later, there was a knock on the door.

And when she answered it, she saw the person she had been texting... Leo.

"Yo." he greeted her.

"All right, I'm here." he said.

"What we doing?" he asked.

"And how we doing this?" he asked further.

Hal nodded in response.

"All right." he replied.

"Bye, sweetheart!" he called to her as he made his way to the edge of the driveway. Once he was there, he got into the waiting taxi (which he ordered for paper trail reasons, and because he wanted to leave his car in the garage), and it drove away.

He waved to her as he left, and she watched until the vehicle was out of sight.

Completely.

He was gone, and she was alone now.

Hal paused for a moment, before sighing heavily.

"No, no." he said.

"You're right, you're almost 17, and you're almost an adult now." he said further.

"I need to be able to trust you to look after yourself, and I know you or someone else will let me know if something happens." he continued, talking himself down from being too smothering and extra-doting.

He then got closer and kissed her forehead.

"Have fun having the run of the place." he told her with a chuckle.

"Love you, sweetie." he finished.

Hal nodded in response.

"I am." he replied.

"I've been wanting and needing this for a while." he told her.

"Cain knows you'll be here alone, so he'll be checking up on you from time to time." he then said.

"And you know that if something goes wrong, or if something happens, do not hesitate to call me." he went on. "I can be back in a fraction of a second, and you know it." he added.

This always happened when he was about to be away from here for any extended time period. 'Extra-dote' mode seemed to engage.

"......" Ryker was silent as he regarded the cave.

"All right." he said, cracking his knuckles.

"Looks like this is it." he told Eke.

"Here we go." he finished, before starting to march towards the cave, rolling up his sleeves.

"Upstart mortal, I'll show HIM what Hell magic can do." he added, though his voice was more like the demon's now.
