"......." the man was silent, and sighed again.

"I can help you." he told her.

"Which is to say, I can do some emergency work here, make sure you're not in critical condition, and then we can get you to a hospital." he said.

"Let me help you inside." he offered.

"You need to be tended to. Some of your injuries look pretty grievous." he commented further.

"....phone?" the man asked.

"Yeah... yeah, I suppose so..." he admitted.

"But you look like you are in serious need of medical attention." he commented as he stepped out of the way so she could enter the townhouse.

"Is there anything I can do to help?" he asked her.

"I AM a doctor, after all."

He sighed as he sat in his chair, looking at the papers in his hand.

"....ugh." he muttered, as he ran a hand through his short green hair.

"Yet another of these crackpots trying to have an easy cash-in." he growled, as he threw the papers back down on the table that was beside him.

"Guess all there is to do is have Seth look at it and make the person drop it." he mumbled further, before hearing a knock on his door.

"Oh, that must be the food." he said to himself, grabbing a pair of glasses and placing them over his eyes. He then stood up and made his way to the door, opening it... to not what he was expecting.

"Good heavens." he said, upon seeing who was there.

"Are you all right?" he asked, his tall thin form seeming to tower over the girl standing there... but that might also have been because she was hunched over, as well.

"Of course." Lindsay responded.

"You do that." he told her.

"Love you." he finished, before giving her another hug, and then leaving her room.

As he walked down the hallway, he suddenly paused and thought about things.

'...she's taking this amazingly well...' he thought.

'Is this Ash's influence? Or Casey's?' he wondered.

Lindsay nodded in response.

"All right." he replied.

"But we'll get working on what happened to you." he told her.

"Bring those to justice that need to be." he said further.

"And if this goes how it's looking it will, you'll be back on the track team, as well." he assured her.

"Because this all this is starting to reek of corruption and backseat politics."

Lindsay shook his head in response.

"It's not your fault." he told her.

"Your mother and I are just glad you're okay." he said further, smiling again.

"Anyway, it seems I have some phone calls to make." he commented.

"There anything I can do for you?" he asked.

"Anything you'd like?"

Lindsay just smiled.

"You're a smart girl, you'll figure it out." he told her.

"Or ask your brother." he went on.

"He's friends with him." he reminded her.

"Speaking of Evan, odds are you'll get a visit from him at some point." he continued.

"Seeing as you're home and safe an all."

Lindsay just smiled as Sammy said what she did and looked at him.

He then made his way closer towards her, and leaned in, giving her a hug.

"We were so worried about you." he said.

"We didn't know what had happened, and nothing we were trying was working." he went on.

"Seems we owe Darrel a massive debt of gratitude as well." he then added.

"Looks as though he saved your life."

Lindsay listened to all she had to say, before nodding at the end.

"I agree." he said.

"She may be targeted as well." he said further.

"Also, looks like the wings aren't the only way you take after me." he then commented.

"Though it seems yours is... not as potent. Or perhaps just different." he went on.

"Regardless, it seems like injuries are something you don't need to be as concerned about as others."

Lindsay narrowed his eyes when he heard that.

"I see...." he said, trailing off.

"Samantha, what did they do to you?" he asked, stepping forward.

Sammy just sighed, before regaling the information, which visibly angered him.

"Your aunt will need to hear of this." he commented.

"This sounds a lot like manipulation was happening behind the scenes."

Lindsay blinked a couple of times when she said the last part, naming a name.

"Troy Tavis?" he asked.

"As in... Gina Tavis's son?" he asked further.

Sammy just nodded.

"...but why?" he asked in response. "Why would he attack you?"

"Well... uh..." Lindsay muttered, thinking about it.

"Not yet, sadly." he said.

"Well... nothing conclusive." he told her.

"Your aunt's looking into anything that might come to light. She's digging for information." he went on.

"Are you all right?" he then asked.

Lindsay nodded as well.

"All right." he replied.

"I'll go and see Samantha." he told her.

With that, they each went to talk to who they said they would, with Linsday lightly knocking on the wall when he got close to Sammy's room.

"Sammy?" he asked, noticing the door was open and peering in.

"No need to apologize." Rene assured her.

"As I said, it's my job." he said.

"Anyway, let me know if anything else crops up." he told them.

"We will." Lindsay said further.

"Oh yeah, she's awake and you can go and talk to her if you like." Rene then added, before seeing himself out.

"Perhaps I should speak with her." Lindsay said to Casey.
