".............." Ash was silent for a moment, before taking out his phone and sending a text.

"I see." he said.

"Firey... wings." he muttered.

"Yeah, this is something you need to discuss this with your Dad." he told her.

"Sounds like this is HIS DNA at work." he commented further.

Ash was silent for a moment, processing this in.

"....I'm sorry?" he asked.

"What?" he asked further.

"Kicked off the track team!? Why!?" he asked her.

"Seriously, you were the best they had. Their star athlete!" he exclaimed.

"Why did they kick you off so suddenly?"

The heat in the house was noticed by all those that were inside. Including her father and uncle. However, her uncle was already on his way upstairs when she arrived, and he raised an eyebrow when he felt this.

"Eh?" he muttered, looking around slightly.

He then continued on his way, making his way towards Sammy.

"....uhhh, hey, Sammy." he greeted her.

"Something up?" he asked.

"You seem a bit... peeved." he commented, understating it.

Evan was silent again, before thinking for a moment.

"Actually... yeah. I do." he replied.

"I feel like I DO have a lot of energy suddenly." he admitted.

"....can you wait for a couple of minutes?" he asked.

"I should be properly dressed to run..."

Evan just nodded quietly.

"Okay." he responded.

"I know." he said.

"I'll stop it. Or try to, anyway." he muttered.

"It's... gonna be hard, though." he mumbled.

"I'm... fighting instincts, now." he told her.

"Like, play instincts and such."

Evan blinked a couple of times, as what Sammy said sunk in.

".....huh." he muttered.

"Yeah, that's... that's true." he admitted.

"Fair enough." he said.

"...." he was then silent, before it got closer, and gave Sammy a hug. As he did, his tail wrapped around her waist, holding her closer than before.

"Thanks." he said quietly.

"......." Evan was silent as Sammy said all she did.

He then sighed, and looked around slowly.

"So... I mean... you're okay with this?" he asked.

"You're not bothered or anything?" he asked further.

Sammy could tell that Evan was worried. He loved his sister dearly, and he wasn't sure how she would react to this sudden change.

".....I know." Evan replied.

"I'll have to switch to earbuds." he said.

"You want my old headset?" he asked.

"Otherwise it'll never get used again." he said.

"...and yeah, this is me. Your brother." he commented.

"Seems that itchiness and pain was these ears and tail wanting to sprout out." he muttered.

"Okay, thank you." Evan responded.

With that, he left the kitchen, and followed Sammy's sounds.

"Sammy?" he called out quietly.

"Sammy, where are you?" he asked.

"I need to talk to you." he said further.

'...wonder how she'll react...' he thought anxiously, as he continued to try and find his sister.

"Hm. I see." Evan replied.

"That makes sense." he said further.

"...I'm REALLY craving fish..." he mumbled.

"I guess I should go and see Sammy." he then said. "Let her see what's happened to me." he reasoned.

"Unless you want me to do something else."

"...........okay." Evan said quietly.

"I'm going to go... um... I don't know." he admitted.

"I don't know what to do now." he said.

"How do I control my tail?" he asked.

"I feel like it won't do what my head tells it to."

"............" Evan was silent for a moment, and sighed.

"I'll wait." he said.

"I don't know if I want to go back." he admitted, sounding uneasy.

"And more control over these is good." he said further, referring to his ears and tail.

"Does this explain why I was always wanting to pounce on Sammy?" he then asked his mother.

Evan nodded again.

"Okay." he replied.

"......." he was then silent, before sniffing the air and twitching his ears.

"Is Sammy home?" he asked.

He had no idea what the time was, but he heard someone moving about elsewhere in the house, and he could smell Sammy's familiar scent.

"...and when am I going back to school?" he asked further.

"....oh right, you did say that." Evan remembered.

"...I'm glad I don't itch or hurt anymore." he then said.

"But will they make fun of me in school?" he asked.

"I mean, ears, and the tail, and all..." he went on, trailing off some.

"Oh, and will I get sharp kitty teeth? Or whiskers?" he asked her.

"Or are the ears and tail it?"
