Jackson looked where Ana motioned, and nodded.

"Right then." he said.

"Let us be off." he told her, as he stretched his arms out for a moment, and started to walk.

"Already, I like the atmosphere here." he commented.

"It feels like... well... I don't have to hide anything, if that makes sense." he told her further.

"Like, my eyes are now clear for all to see, but... I'm okay with that." he continued.

"Again, if that makes sense."

"I think they ARE slightly tinted." Jackson responded.

"But the colour screen seems to be pretty damn good." he told her.

"I can make out colours pretty clearly, and differentiate between shades, too." he said, before pointing to a couple of posters that were nearby.

"For example, I can tell that the red on THAT one is slightly lighter than the one beside it." he commented.

"I assume that's correct?" he then asked.

"Heh, good to know." Jackson responded.

"...love these goggles." he then said.

"Feels good to not look at the world through those damned black glasses." he told her.

"Seriously, my colour perception was WAY outta whack, borderline nonexistent." he said further.

"Hopefully these won't draw as much attention, too." he went on, before pausing.

"...well... aside for when people see my eyes for the first time, anyway." he clarified.

"...I love Italian." Jackson replied.

"Sounds like it'll be awesome." he told her.

"Sure, let's go." he said further, as his stomach growled.

"..........." he was silent, and then chuckled lightly, sheepishly.

"Eh-heh. Guess I'm hungry." he said.

"Don't think I've eaten yet today." he admitted.

Jackson looked at Ana, and then back to Scott.

"Thank you once again." he said.

"See you in class." Scott replied.

Jackson then turned and left out the door, waiting for Ana to follow. When she did, he sighed.

"Wow. Two famous men, and I just got here." he commented.

"Anyway, what's our first stop?" he asked.

Jackson nodded in response.

"Works for me." he said.

"Yeah, it'll be best if I know where the big places are." he reasoned.

"I'll let you get to it, then." Scott told them.

"I hope you enjoy it here, Jackson." he then said to the young male.

"Thank you, sir." Jackson replied.

"Ana, do try to stay out of... TOO much trouble." Scott then said to Ana.

"You know you give Hank a migraine sometimes." he chuckled.

"That sounds like a plan." Scott responded.

"We'll need to speak of this later." he said.

"For now, Jackson needs to learn where everything is here on campus." he told her.

"Ah... yeah." Jackson said.

"Right, I AM still new here." he chuckled lightly.

"The goggles comfortable?" Scott asked.

"Very much so, thank you." Jackson replied.

"Good. Glad to hear it." Scott responded with a nod and a smile.

Scott was silent for a moment, and thought about what she said.

"Hmmmmm..." he mumbled.

"That's... entirely possible." he said.

"And, I admit, that IS an interesting concept to ponder." he admitted further, scratching at his chin.

"....." Jackson wasn't sure what to say here, so he just bit his lip slightly.

"This... this sounds like some really dangerous talk." he then commented.

"........" Jackson was silent, not knowing what to say.

Scott was silent as well, before he sighed and chuckled.

"Oh, Ana." he said.

"Your thirst for knowledge is as admirable as it is reckless." he told her.

"This is common?" Jackson asked.

"In general, yeah." Scott replied.

"Of course, her unique power allows her to be more reckless as well." he added.

Jackson thought for a moment about the questions.

"Well, as I said, if I look through glasses, then the people I look at are fine. If the person looks at ME through lenses, then they're fine as well." he told her.

"Basically, my naked gaze needs to meet their naked gaze." he clarified.

"I suppose that's technically a weird hybrid of a gorgon and a basilisk." he then said, thinking about it a little more.

"That's about it, yes." Scott confirmed.

"What do you wish to do with the sunglasses?" he then asked Jackson.

"They can go to the trash. I hate them, and never want to see them again." Jackson responded definitively.

"Yeah, stone." Jackson replied.

"I wasn't kidding when I said I was a gorgon, for all intents and purposes." he told her.

He then looked at the goggles again, before turning away from her and Scott. He took off his shades and set them down on the desk beside him, before putting the goggles on over his eyes. He made sure they were straight, and tightened them to a point that they would stay on, but he was comfortable with them.

"Now, close your eyes and turn towards us." Scott told him.

Jackson responded by turning around, his eyes closed.

"Open them when you're comfortable." Scott said.

Jackson waited for a moment or two, nodded, and then slowly opened his eyes. When he did, Ana saw that his eyes fit the label of 'gorgon', as the pupils were reptilian slits. Also, because the lenses weren't tinted, she saw that the irises were a deep and pure gold colour as well.

"...you're not turning to stone..." Jackson said quietly, a small smile forming on his face.

"You're not turning to stone." he repeated, tears welling up in his eyes now.

Scott just laughed out loud when he heard that.

"I suppose so." he agreed.

"Anyway, you're Jackson?" he asked the young male.

"Yes, sir." Jackson responded.

"I'm willing to bet you're tired of wearing those sunglasses all the time." Scott then commented.

"...well... yeah... a bit." Jackson admitted.

"Then here you go." Scott replied, gesturing to the box.

Jackson nodded, and opened the box, pulling out a pair of goggles.

"Woah." he said.

"And these'll help with my power?" he asked.

"The lenses will neutralize the petrifying powers of your gaze." Scott assured him.

Jackson just shook his head.

"It's just amazing!" he said.

"Scott Summers is a hero of mine." he told her.

"I had no idea he was a teacher here!" he went on, before the man returned, and Jackson clammed up.

"All right." he said, carrying a box with him.

"Come on over here." he told them, which caused Jackson to hesitate for a moment, before slowly moving forward.

"Hey, Ana." Scott responded.

"And no need to apologize." he said.

"I was just working on some notes." he told them, before pausing and nodded slightly.

"And ah yes, of course." he then said, remembering it.

"One moment." he told them, before getting up and heading into another room.

"Y... Y... You're on a first-name basis with Scott Summers!?" Jackson exclaimed to her.
