When she looked around, she saw a tall male in a white lab coat. He had short thick brown hair, but the most noticeable thing about him was the visor around his eyes, that seemed to glow red.

"..." he seemed to be silent, before he looked and noticed Ana and Jackson.

"Ah!" he said, standing up from what he was doing.

"Welcome." he greeted them.

"D... D... Doctor Scott Summers!?" Jackson exclaimed in a whisper.

Jackson was silent as she said all that, before thinking a moment.

"Dr. Summers..." he mumbled.

"That sounds familiar." he said.

"Ohhh, that name... it's ringing bells in my head!" he exclaimed lightly.

"Like, I know I've heard it before." he continued.

"I remember reading about that name in some scientific journals."

"....wow." Jackson mumbled.

"That's... pretty heavy." he said.

"At least he cares about his sister, seemingly pretty deeply." he went on.

"...but self-imposed solitary confinement? That's harsh." he then commented. "Is it not controllable, even with special tools or lenses?" he asked.

"If not, that royally sucks..." he said quietly.

"If so, it's a shame she feels she needs to be isolated..." he then added.

Alex gnashed his teeth at her, before simply whirling around.

"You leave Dianne out of this." he told her.

He then started to walk away, though he was grumbling as he did so.

"....nice guy..." Jackson mumbled.

"Seems hypocritical, as well." he continued.

"And his sister has an eye mutation? Or... well, a gaze-based one?" he asked her.

Alex just growled, but it was clear he was scared.

"He said he was going to kill me!" he said.

"I said that the shades stop me from killing you. As well as anyone ELSE I look at." Jackson clarified.

"...so you're just a danger to everyone in this school." Alex said.

"Nice to know that the staff here care SO much about us." he grumbled.

The student, Alex, just huffed in response.

"Always the snitch." he said to Ana, as Jackson quickly slipped the shades back over his eyes.

"I'm not wearing these to be cool." he said to Alex. "If you must know, they're to stop me from killing you." he told him further.

"Was that a threat!?" Alex exclaimed.

"It was the truth." Jackson muttered... and Ana could see that Alex looked ready to brawl now.

Jackson followed her, and they continued their way through the halls, but if they hoped that it would be uneventful, that wasn't to happen, sadly.

As they walked, a larger student was walking past, and looked at Jackson. He sneered, before smacking the shades off of his eyes.

"You're not cool, y'know." they spat.

Jackson, however, didn't respond vocally. Not right away, anyway. Instead, he clamped his eyes shut, and put a hand over them.

"Yeah, yeah, I know." he muttered in response.

Jackson rose to his feet, and nodded.

"All right." he said.

"Let's go." he said further.

"...everything okay?" he then asked her.

"I mean, it seemed pretty serious when the headmaster said he wanted to talk to you." he commented.

"You in trouble or anything?"

"No, there is not." the headmaster replied.

"That is all for now." he told her.

"I may wish to speak with you and Jackson later about the earlier incident today, but that can wait." he said.

"For now, focus on Jackson's orientation." he finished.

"..." Jackson was silent, before sighing quietly.

'Seems it went okay...' he thought.

Jackson nodded when she said what she did.

"All right." he responded.

He was then silent, before stepping out of the room, closing the door behind him, and then making his way to the chairs. He sat down in one of them... and waited.

He was waiting for an unknown amount of time later, before the door opened again. He saw Ana come out of it, and sighed quietly.

"...wonder how it went..." he mumbled.

He then remained quiet, and waited for Ana to finish up the lingering conversation she was having with the headmaster.

"...so make sure Jackson sees Dr. Summers to get them." he heard.

"Hm?" the headmaster replied.

"Before you arrived here?" he asked.

Jackson was silent, and sighed.

"A group of thugs from the Asphalt Aces were harassing her, so I stepped in, and-" he started to say, before he was interrupted.

"I'll get the full story from the two of you later." he said.

"I'm referring to an incident that happened last week." he informed them.

".....oh." Jackson muttered, remembered what Ana had said before they entered his office.

"Ah, well, I-" Jackson stammered, which cause the headmaster to raise a hand.

"We can talk on a more personal basis later." he told him.

"For now, I'll trust Anastasia here to streamline the process of getting you integrated." he said.

"All right." Jackson responded.

"Now, would you mind waiting out with my secretary?" he then asked.

"Anastasia and I have a more... serious matter to discuss." he told him, levelling a look at the female.

"Good, good." Professor McCoy responded, before looking at Jackson.

"Is that all right with you?" he asked.

"Y-yeah. Of course." Jackson stammered, causing the headmaster to laugh.

"You see a bit nervous, my boy." he commented. "Everything all right?" he asked.

"Yes! Yes, of course!" Jackson responded.

"If I didn't know any better, I'd say you were... starstruck." the headmaster then said with a smile.
