"Well, then!" Jack exclaimed.

"That is the Desiree McCormick spirit and generosity we know you for!" he commented.

"Remember that, listeners." he said into the mic.

"One week. Harris Park. Free if you're accompanied by one that is 7 or under!" he went on.

"Now, then..." he went on, before they continued with the interview. They spoke for the better part of the hour, before a signal was given by someone on the other side of the glass.

"And it looks like we need to wrap this up." Jack commented.

"Thanks for being with us, Desiree!" he told her.

"And good luck on your upcoming shows!"

"Well, your interview seemed so... genuine." Jaden responded.

"Like, I dunno, it seemed like your heart was so into it, and it stuck out." he told her.

"Excellent!" Jack interjected.

"Jaden, stay on the line, and we'll work out the details on picking up your prize!" he said, before transferring Jaden to the proper people, and looking at Desiree.

"Did you think anyone would get the answer?" he asked her.

"You heard the lady, folks!" Jack responded.

"What is Desiree McCormick's natural hair colour?" he echoed.

"Caller number... let's say... 7. Lucky number 7! You call in with the correct answer, and the pass is yours!" he told them.

"And the lines are now OPEN!" he announced.

Within seconds, they had a call, and it went through.

"And we're live with... Jaden?" Jack said.

"Yeah." the caller responded.

"All right then, Jaden! What is Desiree's natural hair colour!?" Jack asked.

"If I recall correctly, Up-and-Coming Magazine did an article on her, and under the 'statistics' section for the piece, it mentioned her natural hair colour was... Strawberry Blonde, right?" he answered.

Jack chuckled in response.

"So true, so true." he replied.

"However, to celebrate your return to Canada, you're putting on a show in this very city!" he then said further. "And this show sold out within hours of the tickets being on sale." he continued.

"But guess what, folks!?" he then said, addressing the listeners.

"Desiree here has been kind enough to give me a VIP pass to her show, to give out to one lucky listener today!" he told them.

"But there's a catch." he warned them.

"You gotta be a true blue Desiree fan to get THIS prize, isn't that right, Desiree?" he asked her.

"I always have plenty of questions!" Jack replied.

"After all, I speak for our listeners, and they want to know all about you!" he told her.

"Firstly, let's talk about your touring." he said.

"You've recently returned from a tour across Europe." he went on. "ALL of Europe." he said.

"That must have been tiring, eh?" he asked.

"Did you have fun?" he asked further.

Pierre just rolled his eyes.

"Dramatics." he said.

"Uh-huh." he muttered.

"Anyway, let's be off." he said, as they all parted ways to do whatever they needed to do.

-Years later-

"And welcome back to the Jack Attack Power Hour!" the radio DJ said into the microphone before him.

"Hope you enjoyed that block of today's greatest hits!" he said further.

"Now, as promised, I said I would be here with a very special guest!" he then went on, before turning to the other person that was in the DJ booth with him.

"Beloved celebrity magician extraordinaire, Desiree McCormick!" he announced.

"Welcome to the show, Desiree." he greeted her.

Pokemon GO has finally gotten a little closer to being as social as people first thought it would be!

"......uhhhh..." Jaden muttered, looking at the flower.

"Sure." he said.

"How... do I go about doing that, might I ask?" he then asked them.

"Like... do I need to do anything special?" he asked further.

Pierre just chuckled lightly.

"Just touch it with your finger, and channel your mana into it" he told Jaden.

"...and prepare to go through hell, kid." he finished.

"Er... all right..." Jaden responded, before touching the flower and starting to direct his mana into it.

As he did so, he felt like his entire life essence was being drained from him, and even though it only took a few seconds, it was sheer terror and agony.

When the flower had had enough, he almost collapsed to the floor.

"Told you." Pierre said.

"I'll be fine, I'll walk it off." Jaden countered.

Jaden nodded in response.

"I understand." he replied.

He then thought for a moment, considering his options.

"Hmmm..." he mumbled.

"A pendant might get in the way... a bracelet might be too obvious for stealth... I suppose a ring might be the best choice here." he reasoned.

"All righty then." Pierre responded.

"Let's get on that right now." he said.

"Sydney, will you be the one getting the sample?" he then asked the vampire.

Pierre looked over at Sydney.

"Your son?" he asked.

"Her son." Jaden responded.

"Jaden Sherwood, at your service." he said fully.

'..." Pierre was silent for a moment, before laughing heartily.

"Fair enough!" he exclaimed.

"And I just don't really want to be a hunter." Jaden said, more to his mother. "Whether this world knows and/or accepts it, dark things need to be done in the shadows to keep it running." he went on. "I feel I am capable of keeping this world moving, by doing what others can not, or WILL not." he explained.

"Bravo." Pierre responded, clapping.

"Couldn't have said it better, myself." he commented.

"Congrats, kid." Pierre then said to Jaden.

"You're in." he told him.

"You're an official assassin for the Triad." he said further.

"An in-house go-to hitman for those causing trouble for others, that fall under our jurisdiction." he went on.

"Sweet." Jaden replied with a confident smirk.

Pierre raised an eyebrow.

"I see." he said.

"Well, Lee." he then said to the Dryad. "Looks like it's down to us." he told her.

"So what say you?" he asked her.

"As for me?" he went on, pausing.

"It's obvious, but..." he said, trailing off some, and raising his thumb upwards.

Pierre nodded in response.

"Yep. I am." he replied.

"Back to our seats." he said.

With that, they returned to their original seating plan, with the three Triad heads facing Jaden.

"We all put our fists out, ready to give a thumbs-up or down." Pierre explained.

"And then... if the ups have the majority, you're in. If not, you're rejected." he explained.

"Ready ladies?" he asked Sydney and Lee, extending his fist out.

They both accepted the petals, and Pierre immediately gulped his down, while Jaden did the same.

"Ahhhh." the lycan exhaled.

"Thanks, Lee!" he said.

"Yes, thank you." Jaden echoed.

"Kid, you're all right." Pierre then said.

"Been a while since I had such a rough go of a scrap like that."
