Jaden was silent for a moment, frozen in place when he heard Racquel call to him.

He then shook his head, and poked his head out from where he was.

"S-sorry!" he called back.

"I didn't mean to interrupt anything!" he said further.

"I was j-just going for a walk and happened to come in this direction!"

....wait....

Jaden had not expected anyone to be there, let alone Racquel.

And he had DEFINITELY not expected her to be stark naked.

When he saw her emerge from the pond, his eyes widened considerably, and his normally pale face turned a noticeable shade of red.

He stared at her for close to 5 full seconds, before he shook his head rapidly, and looked around for a place to hide. He settled on a nearby large tree, and darted behind it.

'Holy cow!' he exclaimed mentally.

He knew that Racquel was quite in shape, but he hadn't known just how shapely and attractive she really was, underneath her clothing.

Jaden nodded and watched her go, before getting up and making his way to the window that was in the den. He looked out the glass, and watched the snow lightly falling to the ground.

He then noticed some glowing eyes in the woods in the distance, and narrowed his own.

"...deer." he mumbled.

"...fox." he said further, looking at another pair.

".........another deer." he went on, seeming to be trying to identify what was out there.

Jaden nodded quickly.

"Yes, please." he said.

"That sounds like a good idea." he told her.

"I should know what's around, at any rate." he reasoned.

"Which... might not be much, seeing as it's winter." he went on.

"But I don't really know where this is, so... I don't know."

Jaden shook his head.

"I'm fine with continuing to help with the wood." he told her.

"I'm just saying that... well, if you need meat, I can get it." he said.

"Just... it's an option." he continued.

"Plus... I don't know what's around here, to be honest." he then admitted.

Jaden smiled brightly.

"Yeah! I'm hungry." he told her.

"Food sounds good." he said, before pausing.

"...speaking of which..." he then went on.

"Are you going to need someone to... well... go and get meat?" he asked.

"When I'm not running for my life, I DO know how to get prey."

Jaden paused when he heard that.

"We... we did?" he asked.

"Wow..." he said after she nodded.

"I... had no idea." he admitted.

"That's... just... yeah, wow." he repeated.

"I'm glad I can help you." he told her.

Jaden just shook his head quickly.

"I want to get taller." he said.

"Getting taller would be nice." he told her.

He then was silent, before yawning widely, inadvertently showing his fangs again.

"I feel tired. And hungry." he said.

"Guess I worked pretty hard out there."

"All right." Jaden replied.

"But that's not necessary." he said.

"I mean, sleeping on the couch has worked for me." he told her.

"..,unless I've been in the way by doing that..." he then said further.

"...actually, if you say your bed is fine, then it's fine."' he continued.

"I just don't want to impose."

Jaden nodded.

"Sure thing." he replied.

"I can do that, no problem." he told her.

"...I guess... just keep doing it until we're told to stop?" he then asked.

"I mean, I probably won't get too much done in a day, but still." he said further.

"I'll keep piling it up until I'm told it's enough."

Jaden shook his head again.

"No, no, no. It's fine, it's fine." he said.

"That works for me." he told her.

"How much more are you going to need?" he then asked.

"Like... the trees and wood and stuff." he clarified.

Jaden shook his head.

"No, no, no." he said.

"This looks to be just fine." he told her.

"...hm." he then mumbled, looking at the designs.

"Where is it going to be?" he asked her.

"As in, where is it going to connect to?"

Jaden looked at Racquel, and accepted what she held out to him.

He then looked at it, and his eyes widened some.

"Oh..." he said.

"Oh, wow..." he muttered.

"This... this looks like it'll be quite the decent size." he commented.

"Is... this the addition meant to be my room?" he then asked her.
