Jaden paused.

"Wait... what?" he asked.

"Sydney?" he asked her.

He then paused for a moment, and thought about it.

"Well... that might explain why we've never actually met again until now." he said.

"I always remembered you as Csilla." he told her.

"........" Jaden was silent as he heard what she said.

"Yeah..." he muttered.

"Right. Anyway..." he mumbled further.

"Yeah. She did bring me here." he told her. "Said there was someone here I needed to meet." he went on.

"Suppose that'd be you." he added with a small smile.

Jaden just sighed, and shook his head.

"I don't... I don't know." he said.

"I can't really remember what they looked like." he told her.

"All I remember is their leader telling me something." he went on.

"He told me his eye had judged me to be a sin upon the world."

Jaden's eyes widened when he felt the mana, and heard the string of curses, before he put his shirt down and looked back over towards his mother.

"Anya, rendben van. Ezzel megegyeztem."* he said, before pausing.

"....huh." he then mumbled.

"I thought I'd forgotten how to speak that." he admitted, switching back to English.

"But seriously, though. It's fine. I've come to terms with it, and now I've made it a source of... pride... I guess you could say." he said further.

*Mother, it's all right. I've come to terms with this.

"I... yeah..." Jaden muttered.

"I'm alive... well... because of an act of cruelty from some hunters." he told her.

"Which... admittedly, makes no sense." he sighed.

"Look, just... yeah, look." he told her further, turning around and lifting his shirt, allowing his mother to see the cruel mark left from the encounter, as well as all the minor scars.

"I guess they thought either humans or vampires would kill me." he said.

"........." Jaden was silent as Demi said what she did.

"Uh... right." he said.

"I guess... here goes?" he muttered.

He then placed his hand on the door, and pushed it open, stepping inside.

Which caused him to immediately freeze when he saw the woman before him.

"........................Mom?"

Jaden was silent as he looked around.

"Wait..." he said.

"This place..." he muttered.

"Is this... the guild you work for?" he asked her.

"Candentus Lux, was it?"

"Yeah, sure." Jaden replied.

"Sounds... like a plan." he said.

She heard some hesitation in his tone, but that could be primarily chalked up to him being confused as to what was happening, and what she meant about him needing to meet someone.

"Let's go." he told her, taking her hand.

"I admit, I AM wondering who this person is..." he muttered.

Jaden looked over at Demi, and raised an eyebrow.

"Eh?" he muttered.

"Uh... all right..." he said.

"Yeah, sure." he told her.

"Should I tell Miss Racquel?" he asked.

"Let her know I'm going with you?"

Before Jaden could say anything in response, Demitra was gone.

"....uh...." he stammered.

"All... right..." he said.

He then made his way to the house, and stepped inside.

"Miss Racquel!" he called into the home.

"I'm back from solo training!" he announced, shutting the door behind him.

Vincent went back to gathering his mana, before he disappeared in a small whirlwind, a lingering light breeze being the only remnants and evidence of him being there.

As he left, she noticed the clouds above, gathering and darkening some...

...just as she heard hurried footsteps approaching.

A few seconds later, Jaden appeared out of the surrounding forest, having finished some solo training.

"Seems like it's gonna storm!" he called to Demi.

Vincent held her for a few moments, before breaking the embrace, and nodded.

"You are welcome." he replied.

"....am I to assume your mother doesn't know of this?" he asked.

"Or does she?" he asked further.

"Just so I do not create a potentially awkward situation if I were to speak with her again."

Vincent nodded in response.

"Indeed." he replied.

"I would give you the exact location and/or coordinates, but finding one's way there is part of the initiation." he told her.

"If you cannot at least make it there on your own, you have no business applying, is their line of reasoning." he went on.

"I wish you luck, Demitra." he then said, pausing for a moment, and then giving her a hug.

"And it was wonderful to finally see you again."

Vincent thought for a moment.

"Candentus Lux." he told her.

"The leaders there are always looking for good people." he said.

"You'll need to get inside, though." he went on.

"Hmmm..." he mumbled.

"Ah, when you are addressed at the door, give them a special code phrase." he told her.

"Tell them Vincent sent you to help maintain balance." he finished.
