Azazel just sighed.

"Fair point." he replied.

With that, they made their way back to the police barrier, and Azazel... using his silver demon tongue... managed to convince the chief there that this was all because of the drug gang and the effects of what they were peddling. He also told them where they were, and how they had seemed to be trying to kill each other.

Once info was exchanged, they parted ways, and Azazel and Rylie made their way to his car, where he laid Aedan down in the back seat, and buckled her in appropriately, making sure there was a pillow and blanket there.

"All right, get it." he told Rylie.

"We've got a bit of a drive ahead of us."

Azazel nodded.

"Yep. I do." he told her.

"Just need to sneak you past the police, and we can get on our way." he said.

"Relax, I'll have a story for them." he then assured her.

"...should get them to the drug den, too." he mumbled further.

"God, this city's a mess." he then commented.

"....this is true." Azazel admitted.

"Listen, do you want to come back to the Unit with me?" he asked.

"Let my boss know what happened?" he said.

"You'd be safe for a while, at least." he told her. "Plus, they might be able to help with your bike being busted and all." he then added.

"How about it?"

"Yeah." Azazel responded.

"I did." he said.

"Er... thanks." he told her.

"Question, though." he said. "What did you DO!?" he exclaimed.

"Seriously, what did you do to get this to happen?" he asked her.

"...and what was with that grin when I stepped out here?"

"......" Azazel was silent as he witnessed this.

"What the...?" he wondered, as he checked her.

"Aedan?" he asked, though he got no answer.

"The hell did you do, Rylie...?" he mumbled, before getting to his feet and hefting Aedan onto his back.

"Need to bolt." he mumbled.

With that, he started to make his way back outside, with questions for Rylie when he got to her.

To say she had taken Azazel by surprise would be a massive understatement.

He was on his back, Aedan atop him, and it was clear what she wanted.

His brain. His flesh. She wanted to consume him.

And he knew that if she consumed his demon flesh... it would be nothing but bad for the BOTH of them.

"God DAMN it!" he cursed, as he held her back and stopped her from getting her teeth and nails close to him.

"She's too far gone." he growled, as he started to push back and attempted to overpower her physically.

Azazel just sighed as the mob charged him. They were effortlessly tossed aside by him, but they weren't the problem here.

It was Aedan.

"Daaaamn it all." he cursed.

"Aedan, calm down!" he said.

"It's me, Azazel!" he told her.

"Pull yourself together! Come on!" he continued.

"We need to get you help!" he finished, as he readied himself to possibly attack her, or defend against her.

"....son of a..." Azazel growled, shaking his head.

"As if things weren't bad enough already." he said.

"All right, everyone, LISTEN UP!" he yelled.

"The girl's with ME!" he declared.

"And if you all got something to say about it, you say it to ME!" he told them.

He then prepared himself for an attack, as the odds were strong that the ones that were hopped up would have no hesitation or compunction about going after him.

"Holy hell!" Azazel exclaimed as the body landed close to them.

".....well, shit." he cursed.

"Right, need to stop this." he said.

He then stepped into the building, and raced upwards.

"AEDAN!" he yelled.

"AEDAN, CALM DOWN!" he called to her, as he continued to rush to where he heard signs of a scuffle.

Azazel looked at Rylie and the horse, before nodding.

"Right." he said.

He then took her hand, and was swung up onto the horse, behind her.

"...heh." he chuckled.

"Forgot about this girl." he said.

"I see your equestrian skills have not dwindled any."

Azazel's eyes widened as he put the pieces together in his mind.

"Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhh crap." he said.

"Crap, crap, CRAP." he cursed, as he picked up his pace, and started to race in the direction she had gone.

"Rylie, where is she!?" he asked.

"Where can you sense here!?" he asked further.

"We need to get to her, and FAST."

"Yeeeeeah..." Azazel mumbled.

"Your bike was totalled, eh?" he asked.

"That's... really going to crimp your style even more." he said further.

He then paused for a moment, before taking out his cell phone, and dialling Aedan again.

He needed to see how well she was doing, or... to see if the unthinkable had happened, and she needed backup.

Azazel nodded.

"Yep, she'd be the one." he said.

"And yeah, I've moved up in the world." he agreed.

"In many different ways." he muttered with a sigh.

"Yeah, it's... well, I finally feel like I'm somewhere I belong." he told her candidly.

"Walk and talk." Azazel responded, as they started to walk.

"And yeah, partner." he told her.

"I'm a member of Special Unit 3." he said. "And I came here with my partner." he said.

"She went the opposite direction, and odds are, she ran afoul of that drug ring in this city." he explained further.

"And yeah, SHE'D make the mess." he confirmed.

"She's... well, she's not human, either, and would be bad news for them."
