Jaden blinked a couple of times, and was silent for a moment.

"Uh..." he stammered.

"Yeah. Yeah, I am." he said. "As ready as I'll ever be, anyway." he clarified.

"I... have a question, though." he then said.

"I've not seen THAT blade before." he commented, gesturing to the one that Demi was holding.

"Why are you using IT, instead of the one that you gave me?" he asked. "I mean, it's clear it hasn't been used in a while, as it needs to be sharpened as badly as it does." he went on.

"So why did you stop using it?" he inquired.

Jaden nodded and smiled.

"Yeah!" he said.

"Sounds good." he told her.

"I'm really hungry." he admitted.

"And... I feel like I should eat a good amount, anyway." he went on. "Something tells me that today's going to be one of hard lessons." he muttered.

"Hard and intense lessons." he then added.

Jaden looked at Racquel, and smiled.

"Really?" he asked.

"Heh." he chuckled.

"Makes me feel accomplished." he said quietly.

"Again, thank you." he repeated.

"Hopefully I can get some nice sleep in here, and I don't have to impose on you." he told her.

"Wow!" Jaden exclaimed.

"This is awesome!" he said.

He was then silent, and stepped inside further, looking around at it.

His mind returned to the room he'd had before. The life he'd had before. And a few tears streamed down his face. He sniffled quietly, before wiping his eyes with his arm.

"Thank you." he said.

"Thank you so much."

Jaden was silent as Racquel said what she did.

"Right." he said.

He then looked at the door, and grabbed the knob of it.

'Wonder what it looks like...' he thought.

'Only one way to find out...' he realized.

With that, he opened the door... and looked inside.

Jaden nodded.

"Yeah!" he replied.

"I do." he said.

"That'd be nice." he told them further.

He then looked at the box, and bit his lip some.

He wasn't going to tell them about the nightmare. Not yet, anyway. It could have just been a random nightmare, for all he knew.

Jaden looked over at the room, and his eyes widened.

"Wow..." he said.

"It's... it's seamless." he commented.

"It's impossible to know that that's new." he told her.

"Seriously. It's... it's truly amazing."

"...." Jaden was silent as he witnessed this, before thinking for a moment.

"One second!" he called to her.

He then made his way back into the house, made a grab for the box that had the sword in it, before freezing momentarily. He then quickly grabbed the box, and made his way back outside, over to where Demitra and Racquel were.

"Good morning." he replied politely.

"How are you?" he asked them.

-loads a sniper rifle and fires a 10k volt bid, hoping to snipe the auction-

Meanwhile, inside, Jaden was tossing and turning in his sleep.

He was trapped in a nightmare that seemed to go all over the place, but it always seemed to include the sword that Demitra had given him.

There were parts where the blade was trying to cut him in half, parts where the blade seemed to pierce through his soul, parts where he found himself trapped in the box that housed the blade, but he always heard laughter.

Mocking laughter that seemed to have a condescending tone to it... an always... always, the word 'soul' echoed around him.

He then finally was jolted awake with a loud yelp, before sitting up and breathing heavily.

He looked over to the closed box that contained the blade, and could only stare at it in silence.

"........" Jaden was silent, before making his way to Demitra.

"Well, let's go." he said.

"We need to go chop wood." he said further.

"Oh." he then muttered, before looking at Racquel.

"What IS for dinner?" he asked.

Jaden nodded.

"All right." he replied.

"Yeah, that makes sense." he said.

He then sighed, and set the box back down.

"Well... guess it's time to chop wood." he commented.

"And anticipate what will happen tomorrow."
