@captain crackers: I R scatterbrain sometimes.

"Better." Aly responded.

"That beasting-out has slowed down considerably" she said.

"I think he'll be back to normal by late evening." she added.

"Well, that's good." Ryker replied.

"You look super-tired as well." Aly commented, looking at the bags under Ryker's eyes.

"Thankfully this 'prep-work' will be finished soon." was all Ryker said in response.

"If you mean the staff, then they'll be individually assessed, and action will be taken upon those that need it." Azazel told her. "However, if they are innocent and/or ignorant to all this, they'll be found new places to work, and be rehomed if need be." he continued.

"That, or this place will be converted to a kind of home if need be. Seeing as Ed's forfeited his rights to it and the properly." he added with a schadenfreude snigger.

"As for his victims down below, we'll try our best to find out who they are and bring closure to those that will need it." he then said.

"I mean, well... it depends on what they're like, too." he suddenly said further. "Who knows if their souls are trapped in those stone bodies, or if they've moved on." he went on.

"Oh no, they're long-gone." Zeke said, stepping into the room and having overheard the last part of that. "I sensed NO souls in there, and Roxie was unable to feel anything from them, either. So at the very least, their souls have moved on to a better place." he continued. "For whatever that's worth." he added.

"Meaning family and friends will be contacted as far back as we can go, so closure can be given." Azazel confirmed.

"Anyway, I'll be sending this young woman to the Medical Wing." Zeke then told Azazel. "I assume you'll be following? Or, actually, you go ahead and tell them about this, make sure they have Ilias at the ready, too." he added.

"That makes sense." Azazel replied, before looking at the woman again.

"See you in a few minutes." he said, before disappearing in a demonic hole in the floor, the opening staying there for merely a moment, before disappearing.

"...yeah you wouldn't have liked that..." Zeke said to her.

"Ezekiel Leblanc." he introduced himself. "Now... just close your eyes and when you feel the sensation of warmth start to dissipate, open them again." he instructed her.

For that entire week, Savra never left his side. Aly would continuously be in and out, getting what Eke needed and trying her best to soothe Eke's misery.

Ryker visited often, but oftentimes, Eke was too delirious or distracted to notice.

However, when he finally started to calm, Aly made her way down to where Ryker and Arissa were.

"He's finally improving." she said.

"Good." Ryker responded.

"SOME good news from him, at least."

"...this is horrifying." Zeke chimed in. "So many lives, just... gone. Missing. Who knows how many people are fraught over not knowing what happened to them..." he went on, the anger in his voice becoming more evident as he went on.

"Calm." Azazel said to him.

"Anya's giving him what he deserves, and after that, Ebraxis will have his way with him for all eternity." he went on.

"For now, I'm going to concentrate on getting this woman help, the rest of you either deal with the rest of the staff here, or call in reinforcements from the Unit." he told them further.

"Already done." Roxie said. "Take her back, and the rest of this place will be dealt with accordingly." she promised him.

"All right." Azazel replied, before breaking communications and looking at the woman.

"Hmmm." he mumbled, before Zeke spoke to him.

"Gimme a second and I'll be there. Your demonic teleporting probably won't do her any favours." he reasoned.

"Was just thinking that." Azazel responded, before hanging up again.

"Someone'll be here momentarily to help you get somewhere you can get help." he told her.

Azazel just shook his head as he quickly made his way over towards her.

"Yes. If this is the work of the demon I think it is, those statues were all, at one point, alive." he confirmed. "But we're going to try and stop YOU from sharing that fate." he promised her.

"And the staff we need to be dealt with accordingly, whatever their individual circumstances dictate." he added.

"For now, we need to get YOU someplace where you can get help." he finished, taking out his communicator.

"This is Agent Az." he said into it, speaking to Anya, Zeke, and Roxie. "I've found the girl. She's alive, but we'll need to reverse the process ASAP. Think Ilias might be able to help?" he asked.

Azazel was thankful to see that she wasn't too far gone yet. There was still time.

"My name's Azazel." he told her.

"And I'm here to help you." he then said further.

"My 3 friends are dealing with that asshole 'master', Edward, and finding his sordid 'collection'." he went on.

"I'M here to find people that can still be saved. And I know I just found ONE."

Azazel paused when he heard that.

He then narrowed his eyes as he heard the panic, but vague hope in the tone of voice.

"I'm coming in!" he called to her.

With that, he concentrated some of his mana into his hand, and slammed his palm onto the area around the doorknob. After a jarring shake, the handle seemed to just fall to pieces, and he swung the door open.

And he saw that the woman was getting a lot worse with the petrification progression.

"I'll go with you to the basement." Zeke told her.

"I'm not staying here." Azazel commented.

"I'm going to look for that woman we may still be able to help." he said.

"As well as anyone else that might need it."

He exclaimed as he tried to get away, but his feet ended up tangled in more silk.

He scrambled on the floor until the spiders reached him and were crawling on him.

"Basement! Basement!" he yelled.

"They're in the basement!"

He growled in response.

"You can't do this." he said.

"Guess the answer is no." Zeke told her.

"Go on. I know you want to." Azazel then said.

"The quicker the better." he added.

"Damn it." he cursed.

He then turned and ran, but tripped over some silk that was on the floor.

"Of course they try and run." Zeke said.

"You can't touch me." the man told them.

"I am immune. I have a contract."

"I don't know." Azazel said.

"Guess because we're connected by mana." Zeke said.

"Let's just do this." Azazel said.

They approached the manor and barged in and used their connection to find the room that the two were in, and the man was shocked when he saw them.

"Who are you?" he asked.

"What's going on?" he asked.

Anya, Azazel, and Zeke each received the call, and nodded to each other.

"All right." Zeke said.

"Here we go." he told them, as the three approached the barrier they could feel... and then found themselves slipping right through it. Though they all DID feel some discomfort in doing so.

"Eesh." Azazel muttered.

"That barrier is serious business."
