"I won't try and stop you from doing so." Hal responded.

"And you already donate there monthly? You're a kind soul." he told her with a small smile.

"Regardless, good to see you've fully recovered." he then said.

"I'm sure you've been already told about how we found you and such." he added, knowing she'd already been there for a few days, but he hadn't had the time to go and see her.

"My daughter is amazing with tech, and she seemed to have the insight to see you needed help." he continued.

"And my apologies for not coming to see you earlier." he then went on. "Been swamped with worth recently." he explained with a small laugh, followed by a smaller sigh.

Ryker looked at the bright candy, before accepting it, holding back the tears as he did so.

"...time sure flies." he said.

"So much has happened in that time, too." he added, shaking his head a little.

"Seems you're feeling more yourself again, now." he went on.

"Good to see it."

Hal was silent for a moment, and then sighed.

"I can tell you're determined." he said, before going to a filing cabinet and finding a few sheets of paper stapled together. He brought them over towards her and handed them over.

"You can donate to this charity we're a part of." he told her.

"It offers services for those that need it, and are a part of the mana world." he said. "Like an emergency reserve fund, as well as funding shelters and such for those like us." he added.

"That's how best to 'repay' us for this." he added with a smile.

"There's even information about how to file it for your tax return so those that don't know about those like us won't find out." he finished.

"Eh?" Hal muttered, looking at her.

"We're subsidised and funded by the government... albeit secretly... so there's no 'dues' to pay." he told her.

"Unless you actually wish to rent a dorm here or something." he then said.

"We offer emergency housing for free for those who need it, but if you are willingly going to choose to stay here, despite having somewhere else to stay, then we'll talk." he continued.

"Granted, we're not strictly non-profit, we're paid to keep the world safe from the boogeyman, but what we're doing for you IS part of our non-profit."

The man looked at her, before nodding.

"Be my guest." he said, gesturing for her to sit down.

"Nice to finally meet you." he told her.

"Agent Hal Sharp, coordinator and overall overseer of The Unit, San Diego branch." he introduced himself.

"You're looking quite well." he then commented, seeing she had been rid of the petrification.

Nate nodded in response.

"Of course." he replied.

The next day, after she'd gotten her belongings, and had been cleared for discharging, she was making her way to Hal's office, by way of the interactive map that had been installed.

As she walked, she overheard a few people talking as they went by.

"...has Agent Sharp been a little more... short... with you as well?" one asked.

"He's just stressed." the other responded. "Remember, his receptionist is moving, so she's pulling half-days. He has to keep up the slack, and finding those qualified for places like THIS is rare." they added.

"Ah, it should be here." Nate replied.

"I think Zeke went back and inspected your room, bringing us anything that looked like personal belongings." he told her.

"However, if you need a place to stay, we offer places here." he then said.

"Dorms and such." he specified.

"If you want, I can check with Zeke to see if your phone is here." he then offered.

"Good." Azazel replied.

"And with that, I'm off." he said, before waving to them all, and heading out of the room.

"As I said, miracles." Nate said to Arryn with a chuckle.

"...demonic in nature, but still. Miracles." he then added with a small shake of the head.

"Looks like you'll be back to your old self in no time."

"Nate will." Azazel responded.

"Inject all of it wherever you can find a vein." he told Nate, handing the vial to him.

"Right." Nate responded.

"Arryn, try not to shift or anything while the serum does its work." Azazel then said to the high elf. "And try and remain as still as possible. At least for the first few minutes." he added.

"If all goes well, the process should start to reverse within a minute of the antidote being administered." he then finished.

"We work miracles here." Nate said.

"You'll be rid of this, I promise." he told her.

About 2 days later, Azazel entered the medical wing, and, after a brief talk with Angela and Nate, made his way to where Arryn was, with the two medical professionals following... mostly because they wanted to see this.

They entered the room the high elf was in, Azazel first, and he smiled when he saw her.

"And your salvation is at hand." he announced, showing her a vial of bright green liquid.

"Ilias has gone home to sleep, as we've both been working non-stop since we got that blood sample, but I do not need sleep, so I am here to oversee the administration of said antidote."

Nate smiled at her when she said that.

"I'm glad you have faith in us." he told her.

"For now, we'll try to make you as comfortable as we can, before Azazel and Ilias return with what will hopefully help." he said.

"And you're sure it's not getting worse now?" he asked.

"You're not feeling it creeping up any longer or anything?"

Nate raised his eyebrow when she said that.

"Photos?" he asked.

"Oh, right, must be related to your fans." he recalled.

"Anyway, I'm sorry that your employment ended in the way it did, but at least you'll be saved here." he then assured her.

"We here at the Unit do all we can for those that need help."

There was silence from the three of them, before Ilias snapped his fingers.

"Ah! Makes sense! I didn't notice you were a HIGH elf." he said. "Could tell you were an elf of sorts, yes, but didn't click that you were a High Elf." he added, as Azazel started to leave the room.

"Come on." he told him.

Ilias nodded and excused himself, leaving Nate there to look Arryn over.

"Surprised a High Elf found herself in such a dire situation such as this." he commented.

Ilias paused when she correctly identified him.

"...wha...?" he muttered.

"You... know what I am?" he asked. "Like, what I LEGIT am?" he asked further.

"She's surprised ME as well." Nate said. "She's the first person to know where my ability comes from. It's origin and such." he said further.

"Well, aren't YOU just a font of knowledge?" Azazel asked her.

"Anyway, if we can get that blood sample, Ilias and I will get to work finding a way to actually REVERSE this." he then said to Nate.

"Got it." Nate responded.

"You'll feel a little pinch, but probably not as bad as when Ilias bit you, Miss....?" he started to address her, but then realised he didn't know her name.
