Hal was silent for a moment, and looked at her.

"It says on your file that you submitted that your species is 'human'." he told her.

"That clearly is not the case." he said further.

"So shall we correct this little piece of information?" he asked her.

"What IS your species, Violet?" he asked further.

Emerald was stunned to see this, and surprised as well. However, it did not compare to the expression that Hal was wearing.

"..." he was silent for a moment, before clearing his throat.

"I see." he said.

"Well then." he commented, turning to his computer.

"It seems there's a little bit of an error that's been made." he said offhandedly.

"....?" Emerald was silent, and a little confused once more.

"Normally, travel that far shouldn't be possible." Emerald stated.

"However, what we did was... desperate, and it was a gamble." he told them. "When we jumped, we opened a portal that... we weren't even sure would work. It did, but... we may have left that door open a crack, so to speak." he went on.

"So he may have followed your trail, essentially." Hal truncated.

"Inadvertently, yes." Emerald confirmed.

"We didn't mean for that." he told him.

"I'm sure you didn't." Hal responded. "It's still nice to have this information. We're far more ahead than we have been since... well, ever since he arrived here." he told them.

"....I see." Hal responded.

"That is... definitely concerning." he said.

"But such a world is unimaginably far out from ours..." he continued. "How could he have made the jump to HERE, of all planes?" he wondered.

"Hmmm." Emerald mumbled, thinking about it.

He then looked at Violet, an almost guilty and sheepish expression in his eyes.

"Cruxes..." Hal mumbled.

"Ah, Ciroc DID mention that term." he said.

"Used to label the ones that are the embodiment of their 'elements'." he went on.

"Yes, that's right." Emerald remembered.

"And if someone is collecting cruxes, it means they intend to harness that power for themselves. And that's usually never for anything good." he said further.

Hal just sighed.

"Well, I'm not sure how much he'd want us to reveal." he said.

"Can you give us a general truncated version?" Emerald asked.

"Someone was trying to kill him, and then tried to use something to sap his special energy, but he managed to overtake that, and he used it to send himself. Away from that man." Hal told them.

"The destination just so happened to be HERE." he finished.

"So it was an accident that he ended up here." Emerald stated.

"Accident... unintended... whatever you want to call it." Hal responded. "He just wanted away from that man, and no specific destination was chosen."

Hal was silent for a moment, as Violet said what she did.

"...royalty?" he asked. "King of Caeryn?" he asked further.

"Ah!" Emerald said, snapping his fingers.

"Yes, that's it!" he remembered.

"Very influential, obviously." he said further, before pausing.

"Wait... wait, he's HERE?" he then asked Hal.

Hal merely nodded in response.

"Who?" Hal asked in response.

"I believe she's asking who you heard about that from." Emerald commented.

"Oh." Hal said.

"Ah, he says his name is Ciroc Icesska." he told them.

"Hmm." Emerald mumbled.

"Why does that ring a very vague bell....?" he wondered aloud.

Emerald thought for a moment.

"Actually, yeah." he replied.

"Excuse me?" Hal asked.

"Yeah, it was taught in our history lessons." Emerald responded. "A world that's polar opposite of ours... a sister world to our own, really." he said further. "Where mana/magic sustained the realm more than any other realm, and specific individuals maintained the balance of it." he went on.

"I've not thought about it in a while, though." he then admitted.

Emerald looked to be a bit confused when he heard that.

"Huh?" he muttered.

"Okay, I'm a little... confused." he admitted.

"It's okay." Hal responded. "Anyway, I want to ask you something, as you are from another plane... that's pretty far out from this one." he told them.

"All right..." Emerald said, looking to his sister, and then looking back at Hal.

"Does the term 'Adaminia' mean anything to either of you?" Hal asked them.

Hal raised an eyebrow.

"...I know." he said.

"I also know it was beyond your control." he told her.

"So no need to be on edge." he commented.

"Take a seat." he offered.

"We wish to tap into you and Emerald's unique knowledge."

"We've been doing all right." Emerald responded.

"Still going as strong as ever." he said with a smirk and a chuckle.

"Good, good." Hal commented.

"And... questions?" Emerald asked as he sat down.

"Are we in trouble?" he asked nervously.

"Far from it." Hal assured him.

Hal just nodded as Emerald showed up.

"Is Violet not here?" Hal asked.

"She should be." Emerald replied.

"Guess she's outside or something." he said.

He then sent a text.

Hey, we were called to Sharp's office. I'm there already. it said.

"Hello again, Lady Remmington." he then greeted Hollie.

Hal was silent for a moment.

"Yes, actually." he replied. "We do." he told her.

"Emerald is currently working here as a mechanic alongside Rylie Walsh." he said.

"And Violet is employed as a high-level tech, that works on location a lot. Mostly for NASA." he continued. "She'll spend weeks at various locations, and then come back here to take a week off or so." he explained further.

"So Emerald is most likely here, but Violet is a 50/50 shot, as I cannot remember if she's on location or not." he then admitted.
