Azazel just sighed quietly.

"I'm going to be fine." he said.

"But... I don't know about HER." he admitted.

He then told her all he knew. What Sharp had told him, what Aedan had said, and what Cain had told him. But the big thing was that he had told Kiah what the chemicals that Aedan was about to place in close proximity together were.

"...she admits that she had no clue as to why she was about to do it, and she seems to be lucid right now, but she's placed herself under this lockdown." he told her further.

"And we have NO idea what is happening."

"Hey." Azazel replied.

He then made his way to the desk and sat down in front of it.

"Just wanted to let you know that... well... Aedan won't be available for a while." he told her. "As someone to help on experiments, or be tested on." he continued further.

"And when I say 'for a while', I mean... 'for the foreseeable future'..." he then clarified.

"She's under special lockdown... meant for people that are a danger to themselves and others..."

Azazel sighed to himself when he left, and shook his head. He then looked towards the direction of the R&D department, and knew that they would want to know about this. Aedan was an alchemist, and helped out there a lot.

He made his way there and entered using his own security card, looking around.

"Hm." he mumbled.

He then took his phone out and sent a text to Kiah.

You in? he asked.

Need to tell you something.

"....right." Azazel replied, letting go of the hug.

"I'll remember that." he told her.

"Here's hoping that doesn't come to pass, though." he then said further, as the two of them headed towards the door, but Aedan stopped halfway there.

Azazel then turned towards her, and smiled.

"I'll see you later." he said.

"Try and take care, Aedan."

"That would be optimal." Azazel replied.

He was then silent for a moment, and approached her, wrapping his arms around her.

"Take care." he said.

"I can't really stay for long, as I need to get to work trying to get a lead on this." he told her.

"But I'll stop by whenever I can to talk to you, and share any information I may have." he continued.

"Here's hoping this is all just for nothing."

"....that is extremely concerning." Azazel responded.

"Regardless, I brought your laptop." he told her.

"Your games, a journal, some of your books, pretty much everything you'd want to keep yourself busy, amused, or otherwise occupied." he said further.

"...and I'll see if any of my underground connections have heard anything." he continued.

"See if this was a demonic prank or something."

"No." Azazel responded, heading to the desk and setting the backpack and laptop back on it.

"Well... kind of." he said.

"He told me that you were going to put two compounds in close proximity to each other, which would have leveled the house and destroyed everything within." he told her.

"But that was it." he continued.

"Said that you'd be best to tell me more details, if you were in the right state of mind." he said further.

"...I admit, that last statement, alone, scared me." he then told her.

"That would be preferable, not going to lie." Hal told her.

"The best ending to this would be that we're panicking over nothing... or, not panicking, but overreacting, and that this was some strange immense lapse in judgement." he reasoned.

"But we'll do all we can to find out." he assured her.

"In the meantime, just... try and get comfortable, you'll have your items soon." he finished, before leaving the room, the door being locked after he did so.

He then sighed, and shook his head lightly, wondering what was happening.

Sure enough, well within the hour... closer to 30 minutes, really, Aedan heard the door open, and Azazel stepped in, a stuffed backpack on his back, and her laptop bag over his shoulder.

"...hey." he greeted her quietly when he saw her.

Hal was silent for a moment, before growling.

"We can't rule out the possibility that Encrae is behind it." he told her.

"Especially seeing as how that wish wasn't granted properly. Something is blocking it." he went on. "...most likely. It's not 100% certain, as most times it's blocked out by that contract, it's represented as static or a literal wall... but still." he then said.

"However, I'm not sure HOW she would have gotten to you." he admitted.

"It's entirely possible this is the work of something greater than I, that's NOT Encrae." he sighed.

"Regardless, I'll have everything brought to you within the hour." he added, bringing it back to a slightly lighter subject.

Hal nodded in response.

"I'll have all those brought in within the hour." he told her.

"I'll contact Cain and Azazel. They'll know what, exactly, you'll like." he reasoned with a small smile.

He then sighed quietly, and shook his head.

"And we'll do all we can to find out what's happening." he told her further.

"What you say you almost did... coupled with what that wish ended up being... is concerning me. Greatly." he admitted.

"Let's go, then." Hal said.

With that, the two of them made their way to the requisitions department, where she got her 'sustenance', and then the two made their way to one of the special holding cells for those considered a danger to others, as well as themselves.

"Can you think of anything you'd like brought in?" he asked her.

"A nicer bed? A desk, a chair, some music, a TV, a book, a journal, a laptop?" he offered.

"Anything at all to make this seem less like a prison?"
