I once lived with one who got stuck behind the drawers in a dresser almost every day.

Gradual but consistent exposure is pretty much the only way. Sometimes if I'm really freaked out about something I just find the nearest person I can and talk it out. In some cases, making positive associations or just minimizing it in my mind also helps.

I'mma go with "other". I do lowkey hoard and collect, but at my own pace and only to a small degree. I have an active exchange thread, but I sometimes go weeks or months without doing any buying/selling/trading. And sometimes I do art stuff, though I was a lot more actively involved in art shops and contests in years past when I had more time and energy for avatar sites. I post feedback semi-regularly, but I used to be really vocal in the feedback sections of other sites. I'm old and tired now but still going through the motions. ;v;

Hello! Need volts? Want something to draw? Look no further.

What I want: Art of my characters. They could ALL use some fresh art, but I'll help narrow it down by picking the ones I most want art for at the time.
I will be updating my Toyhouse with more info, images, and characters from time to time, and the list of characters I'm seeking art for may change, so you can always check back later for more.

What I like: I'm not super picky, but I am really fond of cartoony styles with lots of energy. Of course, other styles are also welcome. The main thing I care about is that my characters' features and personalities are reflected in their art.

What I have to offer: I currently have over 100k volts, a few items, and my own art to offer in exchange for yours. Let me know if you're seeking anything in particular and I will tell you if I have it on hand.

source: I don't date but if the person you're with is a good match for you, just being yourself and having fun together is the whole point.

Writing a to-do list is a must for me to even remember things at all, but it doesn't guarantee I'll actually do them. Sometimes I forget to look at the to-do list. Other times I just don't feel like I have the time or energy, and if I feel even a little bit like something can be put off, I will put it off until the last minute. Having an urgent deadline is p much the only way to get me to do things sometimes; either that, or having no deadline and no pressure to do other things first. It's basically gotta be either 0 or 100 and everything that's in between just gets forgotten.

OK y'all sorry for disappearing but I just wanna say I have read and appreciate your replies very much. Thanks to everyone who posted!

And yeah, the way illness is handled with work is absolutely ridiculous. I lost my last job because I got sick and had no other options. I was out of work for 6 months and there was nothing I could do but wait until I felt well enough to apply for another, similar job. Healthcare, sick leave, disability, all that fun stuff is a long rant for another day, I guess.
