@xvz: Yeah, like those fudgesicles (just a single skinny popsicle on a stick, not the big paddle-shaped ones) but white and vanilla flavored. I remember they came in a box with multiple flavors; there was chocolate, vanilla, and may or may not have been a third one (if there was a third one, don't remember what it was lol). Trying to look them up, but I can't even find anything about them online. They must have quit making them long ago. Too bad I can't even remember what the brand was. I think there were cartoon cows on the box, but it's been a while so I could be wrong about that. I don't remember the box so much as the fact that vanilla was my favorite.

@xvz: I had to wait 6 months to be eligible for healthcare from my current employer, but when it does kick in next month I'll be paying a fraction of what I currently am and getting more benefit. My current plan doesn't have vision or dental, but the one I'll get through my employer will. I got lucky and was hired after they started giving insurance to part-timers.

@xvz: I feel like it was somewhere in between. It was basically vanilla ice cream on a stick, but solid enough to stand on its own like the fruit kind. I used to get them a lot as a kid, but I don't think I've seen them since. You see the chocolate ones everywhere, and it was like that.. but vanilla.

I used to love otter pops... but my #1 was vanilla popsicles tbh. Haven't seen those anywhere in so long.

@xvz: Exactly, you get it. Plain ice cream is just... too plain. The texture is what makes it so good.

I gave up hoping for positive change to healthcare tbh. I'm paying half my income on insurance alone right now because I got denied a subsidy due to my marital status, despite pending divorce and having lived separately and had separate bank accounts for many years now. Seems like the only way to get an OK deal on insurance is to wind up with a good employer, and even that is a huge long shot.

@0v7: oof good luck. Insurance is such a pain, even when everything is working as intended.

on the topic of ice cream, my biggest weakness is anything with chunks in it. Cookies, cookie dough, brownie chunks, cake chunks, p much anything that's not just the ice cream itself lmao
and it actually
gave me a great idea for a product I'll probably never have the means to produce: an ice cream that is mostly chunks. Like the ice cream part is just there to bind it all together and soak into everything, but unlike most which are more ice cream than chunk, this will be the other way around. And I will call it Chönk. who wants to invest? :U

@xvz: YEP. I like how our healthcare is so bad people can tell where we are just by that. ;v; And honestly it just seems to get worse rather than better.

@0v7: That sounds mad annoying. I just got done dealing with another obnoxious thing where I couldn't get my (different) medicine for months because first my insurance changed and I had to wait for it to be verified, then when it went through and I called to make an appointment, they told me they wouldn't give me that appointment until I got some blood work done. So I had to wait til I could find the time to go to the lab, and now by the time they get that info processed, I'll probably have to wait again because my insurance is changing soon. Don't have health problems, kids.

@xvz: ikr? That was why I switched to automatic in the first place. I hate this new insurance; luckily I should be switching off it to something else in a few days. though I'm sure that alone will cause issues of its own...

Posted in A Clawful Catastrophe Posted 4 years ago

y'all talking about ice cream just as I come in the door with some cherry garcia

Posted in A Clawful Catastrophe Posted 4 years ago

@xvz: well I got my prescription and my answer. Apparently since my insurance changed, it's no longer eligible for automatic refills, so I have to call ahead and order every month now. At least I got it and I know for next time.

Posted in A Clawful Catastrophe Posted 4 years ago

@xvz: aggravated, cause I have to go down to the pharmacy to demand the whereabouts of a late prescription for the 5 millionth time. idk why they can't just keep up with it, but it never seems to be long before it shows up late/missing again.
Hope you're having a better day than me lol
