Found this in grandma's backyard. Nobody knows what it is, except maybe my grandma, but I ain't askin' her. Possibly an alien.

I haven't slept well all week, with last night being the only exception. Not so much thoughts, just being sick/cold/not having time to rest/having too much to do before bed, etc. First night that I was both not sick and not having to get up for work in a while. Too bad I have work again tomorrow. :^P

Sleep is such a pain. I wish we didn't need it.

@Eruca: I assume pollen since it's that time of year. Juts weird for me because I've never really had pollen allergies. I have rhinitis normally, where my nose runs a little because I'm sensitive to anything in the air. But it's never severe, and seasonal changes have never made it worse or brought on other symptoms.. Stress as an exacerbating factor makes sense, though. Pretty damn stressed these days ;v;

@Eruca: Gets even more ridiculous from there: still felt bad, called work, they said not to come in until i'd seen a doctor. had to wait another day 'cause doctor isn't open sundays. Talked to doctor for a few minutes on the phone and she said it was allergies, told me to just take some Mucinex and hot showers. :'| Runny nose/cough/throat irritation have increased since then, so maybe it is allergies? But this is some severe allergies, and the medicine isn't doing much to help. So now I get to work with my nose constantly running and my throat itchy... for the next several weeks, I guess, since you don't just get over allergies like you do a cold/flu. Nice.

@PurpdaBurpPurp: my sweet tooth has definitely died down over the years, too. stuff I liked when I was younger is way too sweet now. ...but a little cake every now and then is nice. Maybe you can make your own if there's none around. It's not too difficult, just kinda time consuming.

@PurpdaBurpPurp: Ice cream cake is like a guilty pleasure for me. It's so bad for me but I can't resist it ;v; Black forest cake is a win, too. But more often than not, fresh baked cake is the way to go. I find frozen cakes, if you can find some with good ingredients, are probably second-best. Nothing beats fresh though! I would p much just stay away from the grocery store kind, though. The ones you always see at kids' birthday parties and such? Absolute garbage tier. Not even worth eating.

I found a vegan carrot cake at Aldi; I was thrilled. Better yet, it's pretty darn good and the frosting tastes like cream cheese frosting, which has always been my favorite kind. Hard to find in vegan form. This is one reason I still occasionally go to Aldi. They have these nice little special items that pop in and out.

But anyway now I'm reminded of how long it's been since I actually had cake of any kind. Much as I like baking and decorating, I'm not a huge cake person... but when I do get cake, I don't like it too terribly sweet. Pumpkin with cream cheese frosting is my favorite, but carrot is a close second because they're very similar.

Not really. I have made the rare piece of fan art from time to time for things I enjoy, but I tend to stay away from fandoms. I just don't love any one show/movie/whatever enough to follow it and its fan content that closely, though I skirted around the MLP fandom for a bit. It's the closest I've come to understanding the draw of fandoms.
