@Wildfire: Have fun on your errands. I'm off soon too. :d
@Wildfire: Daunting is right. When I lived in North Dakota, if you saw this outside, you can bet everything is closed or closing for the day. No need to leave the house. Usually means it's below Zero outside.
@Wildfire: I took a picture for ya. It's not great. But it's pretty cool to look at.

Our garden convo makes me want to start on something. lol, but then I go outside to that.
@Wildfire: We're getting cold weather I was not wishing for. lol.
Fog & 30 *f temp. So freezing fog. Everything is white and crispy outside. I can't even get a decent picture because my phone tries to over-correct the colors. Cx
This ends today though and we get warmer weather later this week. :d
Good Morning.
My husband made coffee this morning, but it looks like tar, so I'm thinking I'm going to dump it and make my own. o;o
@Wildfire: I know forsure this year, I'm going to try carrots and zucchini. Cherry tomatoes by the back door.. and maaaaaybe strawberries.
Of course spicy peppers for my son's garden. XD
@Wildfire: I think you'll enjoy McRaven's books. <3 Start with Make Your Bed. It's an easy read and small. :p

The fencing my husband has is more of a large chicken wire. So that would be perfect for my project. lol. I think I know what my next yard project is going to be. huehuehe.

@Jolly: omgosh yeah, I really need to rearrange my fridge because the veggie drawer is at the bottom. Out of Sight, out of mind. e.e'
This reminds me that I have veggies about to go bad. OTL
@Wildfire: I just went outside with my dogs, everything is frosted. Looks like a winter wonderland without snow. =O
Now I'm thinking about using my husband's fencing for his yard project to make a closed in garden. lol! He wouldn't appreciate me taking his fencing and posts, but he really hasn't done anything with that stuff since we moved into the house. CX

My western novel was book #2 out of a series. I've read other books within the series and had a vague idea of how the origin story ends.. but wow, it still hit hard. Book 1 & 2 are the origin story. Well rounded, but still hurts a bit. I was stuck between wanting to cry from joy and sadness. XD

I did find and buy the new book by Admiral William H. McRaven. He writes short inspiration books. So once my brain recovers a little more from that western, I'll pick his book up. He wrote, "Make your Bed". It's basically a compilation of his life stories and what he learned from each situation. Each chapter is a story and a lesson. I imagine this new one will be similar"The Hero Code"
@Wildfire: We're under the impression his uncle received some bad news about his health, which has been declining rapidly. His uncle is 'acting out', Not answering phone calls, yelling at anyone who comes by, etc. My husband [and I] are the only ones in the family that has a healthy relationship with him. I wish I could just fly out there with the kids. XD it would make everyone happy. but alas, I am preggo.

I did do some observing of my yard last summer. I planted a few things in pots on my patio and moved them around to see which area worked best for what I had. The biggest annoyance was the deer. lol! Every time I'd find the perfect spot for something. The deer ate it to a stub.

I finished a western novel over the weekend and it just stuck with me. It was a well-rounded book and I just.. haven't wanted to pick anything else up after that. It lingers in my mind.
@Wildfire: We definitely have plenty of random yard goodies to make the garden better. I struggle with placement because of the intense heat mid-summer. Last summer we had a dry 115-degree day. It was miserable. Thankfully we got our A/C fixed last spring. XD
So I have to figure out shade for sun-sensitive veggies. :d

Good Morning. My husband woke up to some bad news from family. so he's debating if he needs to fly out and knock some sense into a family member.
I'm going to sip my coffee and relax this morning.
<3 Thank you.

That sounds amazing! <3
When I make top ramen, I always add carrots, broccoli and whisk an egg or two in. :3
@Wildfire: your day sounds pretty good so far. :) Going out midday is always a nice change of pace.

I had a sore day yesterday. I'm surprisingly well-rested today. I went to bed early last night. Woke up early this morning.
I noticed I could start doing some seed-starting... but, everyone around here is under the impression we're about to get hit with a pretty big cold front come February. -shrugs- I dunno.
I need to buy dirt/soil for a garden if I want to begin that. And I think I've decided to collect the old horse fence posts and make raised garden beds out of them. Our yard is a disaster from our winter projects. Sawdust everywhere, holes from dogs, some long grass and random piles of branches and wood.
