He smiled warmly, “Hi Trin. he sent me a message. Apologies, but I agree with his decision.”

She looked back to the Doctor. “Do you still want to? There’s two elevators.” She said, motioning to the one next to it. “We could both take one.”

Jack glanced over and smiled warmly. “Thank you, Ianto.” He said gently, moving to knock on the door.

She looked to the elevator as well and tilted her head. “Single riders only?” She turned to ask one of the nurses but everyone on the ground floor had disappeared to do other tasks.

Ianto moved off to go finish his tasks now that he had seen her inside safely.

A bit later, the rest of Torchwood came back. Jack frowning. “The weevils never end do they?”

She smiled warmly, giving her hand another soft squeeze. “It was- but I’m use to it. Old habit makes me want to just hide..” she explained softly. “What floor do we go to?”

Ianto smiled gently, “Any friend of Jack’s is welcome here. He should be back soon.” He said softly.

She blinked a few times as they reached the elevators, looking over. “Why are you sorry?”

He smiled warmly, leading her down into the Vault area. “Your spare room is right down this hall.” He said gently, leading her to it. Jack thought it would be best if she stayed in Torchwood as it was easiest for the Doctor to find her at, and the safest..

“Oh- they stared back at home too...” she said softly, giving her hand a soft squeeze as thanks.

“Ianto Jones at your service.” He said warmly, letting her in first.

“Wow..” everything was very bright in the hospital, and she glanced at the nurses who, in turn, were curiously watching her. She felt compelled to turn her filter on.. but didn’t..

“You did.” He said with a gentle smile. “But everything is in storage, and you have a room here.” He added in, leading her towards Torchwood’s visitor entrance. “With new furniture.”

She blushed a little, following her happily. “Use to be a challenge I made for myself. What’s the highest I could go.. wanted to reach the stars..” she said shyly. She wanted to get out, get away.. disappear into the stars.. and now she had, and she loved it.
