The Doctor frowned and pulled out his screwdriver, scanning the area. “Someone took her..”

She bounced a little, curious to see where the Doctor had brought them. Out of habit, she reached up and turned her filter on, not wanting to be stared at constantly.. Although it seemed to be ok to leave it off if they weren’t on Earth..

“Thank you.” He said to the owner and moved off to go knock on the door. “Trin?”

She smiled softly, moving to hold onto the console, “A surprise..?” She watched her curiously.

“She travels with me.” He said softly, “So she would never make it in for work.” He was worried about her now though..

She smiled softly, “I’m not going anywhere unless you get bored with me though..” she said softly, “Where are we going?”

He was quiet, still watching the owner for a moment. “Yes.. well. I suppose you have your manager to thank for that.” He said gently, glancing over to the restroom. Was she okay?

She blinked, looking over at her as she got up. “Being alone isn’t good.. it’s depressing..” she said softly, standing up and placing the cup near the teapot the Doctor had brought out.

“Promise me if anything happens to me, you’ll find someone else to travel with?” She didn’t want her friend to be alone..

“Trinity Rosemarth.” He said gently, “I’ve been coming here for years and I know she’s your best employee. Always got the orders right, always served with the biggest smile..” he said thoughtfully, “And according to her manager, she was let go for budget cuts.”

“It is.. But it’s a nice change.. to have friends and..” she smiled a little, “And a family..” she finished up the tea shyly. And a home.. and an actual bed.. and.. everything that had changed since meeting the Doctor, really..

“I’d be a little better if I knew why you had to fire your best employee.” He said gently, frowning. “Although I suppose I have to thank you for that anyway, because she’s much happier now..”

“I have felt like I could trust you since I met you.” She admitted, “That’s hard for me to do just out of the blue..”

“Been a while, Tom.” He said cheerfully, hands in his pockets.
