When he came across the body, he froze in place.

"...oh, no..." he said, kneeling down by the small student.

"Noooo, no, no..." he whispered, before paying more attention to the 'thickness' around him.

"Hm?" he mumbled, looking around.

"Hmmmmmmmm..." he muttered, narrowing his eyes.

".....Ana?" he asked.

"Is this... your presence?" he wondered aloud, not really expecting much of an answer.

The males there seemed to be having a brief discussion, but Jackson didn't stick around to hear it.

He'd heard the words 'toxic air', and that had been enough for him.

As such, he used the momentum that the teacher had given him, and raced away from the scene, trying to find areas where the students were being directed to safe zones.

"Crap, crap, crap, crap, crap..." he repeated to himself, as the occasional tremor almost knocked him off his feet.

"ANA!" he called out, as he hastily searched while he ran.

"JACK!" another male yelled.

"Let's GO!" he shouted.

Jack was silent, but scrambled to his feet, and started to run. However, he tripped over a piece of debris, and started to fall... but that didn't last.

Instantly, he was caught by one of the teachers, and launched down the hallway, with the power of the teacher's explosive propulsion-like power.

"WOAH!" he yelled.

"JUST GO!" he heard shouted to him.

"AH!" Jackson exclaimed, as he was thrown against the wall.

"Owww..." he groaned, as he heard heavy footsteps.

'Oh crap...' he thought.

'Thank heavens for these goggles.' he thought. They were keeping the dust in the air out of his eyes, allowing him to try and scramble to get out of sight.

He needed to get out of the way of the staff, they didn't need to be worrying about him.

Jackson bit his lip when he heard that.

"Damn it." he cursed.

"Damn it, damn it, damn it." he repeated.

"You need to get to a safe zone, immediately." one of the teachers said.

"What's going on?" Jackson asked.

"IS the school under attack?" he asked them.

"And if so, what KIND of attack? Military? Vigilante?"

".........." Jackson was silent as he heard the discussion.

'From the inside?' he wondered.

'Is such a thing possible?' he asked himself, before shaking his head a little.

He then took a few short breaths, and checked to see if Ana was among them. When she wasn't, he stepped out from his hiding place, and addressed the staff.

"Excuse me." he said.

"I know I need to get to a safe zone, but where is Ana?" he asked.

"....oh lord." he said in a hushed tone, as he saw the blood and smelled the smoke.

"Is it true...?" he wondered.

He then heard footsteps quickly approaching him, and looked around hastily.

He noticed some overturned tables in a cluster, and ducked behind them, hiding as best he could. He then peered out slightly, to see who it was.

And he was prepared to do something, if they were foe.

Jackson's pupils shrank when he heard that.

"...attack...?" he whispered, the voice completely lost in the screams and tremors.

He then stopped dead in his tracks, as something came to mind.

"...Ana..." he said quietly, looking around.

"Damn it, where could she be?" he wondered.

'Staff are supposed to be a line of defense if the school is attacked... is she fighting alongside them, if this is an attack?' he wondered, shaking his head a little.

He then deviated from the pack, rushing to the room that she liked to tutor in, just to see if she was there.

[b]"Huh?" Jackson muttered.

'East wing? Not pretty?' he thought.

He was silent, before sighing deeply.

"Oh what the hell...." he muttered further.

With that, quickly picked up his pace, and chased after the one that had spoken to him earlier.

"Wait!" he said.

"The hell's going on in the east wing!?" he asked.

The more he spent time with Ana... both in class and as friends... the more he found himself looking forward to the times they were together, and feeling lonely when they weren't.

And it still confused him.

He knew what it COULD mean... but DID it mean that?

Would it be weird if it DID? Would she reciprocate it? Would it be weird if she did, considering her technical age... which was to say, HER age, and not the host's age?

He was walking down the hallway, the thoughts filling his mind, causing him to be dead to the world.

"..." he was silent, before sighing and shaking his head.

"It's stupid, anyway." he muttered.

"That's good." Jackson responded.

"Yeah, go and do what needs to be done." he said.

"I need to study for my upcoming History test." he told her.

"...store the facts in my brain, regurgitate them onto the paper." he chuckled.

"Let me know if that schedule changes any." he then said.

"....I was just about to ask, actually." Jackson admitted.

"But now I won't." he told her.

"Just... good luck getting the information you need." he said.

"Is this... common?" he asked. "Like, you getting your information being like pulling teeth?" he clarified.

"If so, that really sucks."

"Geez." Jackson muttered.

"That's just wonderful." he grumbled.

"Well, at least you got the info, eventually." he said.

"...yeah, thanks for this." he then told her sincerely.

"You want something to drink?" he asked.

"I got cans of soda in here." he offered her.

"Then yeah, aside from that one thing, schedule works for me perfectly." Jackson commented.

"Hopefully this will get my grade back up to par." he mumbled.

"How've you been?" he then asked her.

"Haven't seen you for almost a week." he commented.

"...it didn't take you that long to just do this schedule up, did it?" he then inquired.
